How do I give myself PERMANENT, tirelessly administrator privileges? It's MY COMPUTER, I should be able to save files WHENEVER I WANT WHENEVER I want TO

This is GARBAGE! Windows tells me I can't save files in a particular directory, redirect me to My Documents instead. I am then allowed to copy the file to the directory I want, but I should be able to register here first. It is absurd and tedious and DOES NOTHING. I'm tired to be attached to these inept security restrictions and I want to get a PERMANENT ADMIN who doesn't have to suffer through 1 million boxes of dialogue and workarounds to SAVE A FILE in THE DIRECTORY OF MY CHOOSING.

I am the only user on the computer! Why? Why can't I do what I want, when I want? Should never have gone from Mac.
Please notify. Thank you.

Rogue programs have a bad habit of doing things behind your back. UAC in Windows 7 is designed to prevent this. It this bothers you, turn off UAC. It's your choice.

I want to be the administrator

You forgot to tell us where you try to save files. You may be trying to save them in directories protected like the root of %systemdrive%\lopr.txt, Program Files or Windows. After you protect the directories is common with many modern exploitation, not only Windows Vista and Windows 7 systems. It's a good thing if you think that whether or not.

What is not not the administrator, even if you are running in an administrator account (no best practices - see below), you still need to raise the privilege when overall changes to the operating system.

If you try to save files in your user directory and failing, please let us know. Otherwise the OS works as expected. If you find it too shocking, then you can always switch to another operating system. However, be aware that you will find the same 'limitations' in Linux and OS X. And nobody knows what he/she does would run as root under Linux.

You don't have your system set up optimal about users. You absolutely don't want to have only one user account. As XP and all the other modern operating systems, Vista and Windows 7 are OS multi-user with system built-in accounts such as administrator, by default, all users and guest. These accounts should be left alone because they are part of the structure of the operating system.

In particular, you do not want account only one user with administrator privileges on Vista and Windows 7 because the administrator account integrated (normally only used in emergencies) is disabled by default. If you use as an administrator for your daily work, and this account is corrupt, things will be difficult. It is not impossible to activate the built-in administrator to rescue things, but it will take third-party tools and work outside the operating system.

The user account that is for your daily work must be a Standard user, with the extra administrative user (call it something like 'CompAdmin' or 'Tech' or similar) only it for elevation purposes. As a user Standard is recommended for security reasons and will help protect your computer against infections. After you have created "CompAdmin", connect to it and change your normal user account Standard. Then log on to your regular account.

If you want to go directly to the desktop and ignore the Welcome screen with the icons of the user accounts, you can do this:

Start Orb > Search box > type: netplwiz [Enter]
Click continue (or provide an administrator password) when you are prompted by UAC

Uncheck "users must enter a user name and password to use this computer". Select a user account to connect automatically by clicking on the account you want to highlight and press OK. Enter the password for this user account (when it exists) when you are prompted. Leave blank if there is no password (null).

You will need to find a forum for MS Word, since it is the software you are trying to manipulate in the present.  If you think that the treatment/creation of the PDF file plays a role, then you should ask in the forum for the software that you use to create the PDF file.

This forum is for a question about downloading and installing Adobe products test, so in all circumstances, your question does not fit in this forum.

  • How can I make myself the administrator?

    Hello

I went to the control panel->-> accounts to manage user accounts. My username is there, and it clearly says 'Administrator' on my user. Clearly, it's a lie, because when I go into c:\program files (x 86)- and try to manually delete a folder in there, I told myself I need administrator access and he refuses to allow me to delete the folder.
How can I fix it so I never see these stupid message on the type administrator access boxes ever? Please don't tell me to disable UAC because then I can't use certain other features in windows 8 as apps from the store. I want a comprehensive solution which gives me total control over my own computer without limitations.
    Thank you

    Hi teachmewindows8,

Thanks for posting on Microsoft Community Forums.

I understand that as an administrator, you try to delete a folder, as is permission from the administrator.

I apologize for the inconvenience, but need to worry, we're here to help and guide you in the right direction.

To make changes in the C drive , you will need to take ownership of all files and folders.

Here are the steps to change the ownership and permissions of files and folders:

    (a) right click on the file or folder, click Properties, and then click the Security tab.

    (b) click on Advancedand then click the owner tab.

    (c) click on Editand then do one of the following:

    (d) If you want to take ownership of the contents of the folder, select the checkbox replace the owner of sub containers and objects .

    (e) click OKand then click Yes when you receive the following message is displayed:

    (f) you're not allowed to read the contents of directory folder name. Do you want to replace the the directory permissions with permissions granting you full control?

    (g) all permissions will be replaced if you click Yes.
Note folder_name is the name of the folder you want to take charge.

    (h) click OK, and then reapply the permissions and security settings that you want for the folder and its contents.

    Additional considerations

    · An administrator can take ownership of any file on the computer.

    · Affecting the ownership of a file or a folder might require that raise you your permissions using user access control.

How can I make myself clean and my computer with no other account administrator?

Do not run as administrator on a daily basis - and in Windows 7, there is absolutely no need to do so.

Configure a user account Standard for yourself to run on a daily basis and create an administrator account (call the Admin or something similar with a password) to use in an emergency and only for purposes of elevation.

  • How can I give administrator permission on my own computer?

I am trying to disable or remove an unwanted executable, and I probably lost hours of fighting with my computer (my property) who keeps telling me that I have to give permission to the administrator. This includes selecting Properties/Security and editing permissions. Only Windows 7 wants me so that I can work with MY computer?

Moreover, I gave Windows 7 a bad reference on Amazon.com for, among other things, transform a printer $ 200 in a Clipboard, to waste hundreds of dollars of other software for which I paid a lot of money (despite the Compatibility Mode selection) and wasting my time instead to save time for me. It's yet another example of having to fight with Microsoft product instead of using it for productivity.

On your undeletable file: activate the account administrator, then Safe Mode boot, log on as administrator, and then delete the file. If repeated failure and then post the exact error message you see, including the name and location of the problem file.

On Windows 7: If you don't like your car Ford Motor, then you by a Chevrolet instead. If Windows 7 does not satisfy your needs then you are installing an alternative operating system, for example a free Linux-based types. Alternately, you could fall back to Windows XP. It will run all of your 16-bit programs.
