How do I know if only my SSD is installed correctly?

Hello

I just got my Thinkpad T430, which came with 500 GB Hard drive and 16 GB SSD installed (and Windows 7 Pro 64-bit).

I bought the 16 GB SSD with the understanding that the laptop is boting that Drive (thus making that much faster). But looking at my computer I do not see the SSD as a distinct letter, and the Windows folder as a whole seems to be in the C: drive of 450GB.

I went to the disk management window and the SSD is here (see disc 1) but there is no drive letter assigned to it.

When I right click on the partition of disk 1 I see the full menu, but it's all gray with the exception of "delete the Volume. »

It of the way things are supposed to be or Lenovo screwed to the top of the installation? Can someone tell me how I can say for sure?

Thank you very much

There are several ways to answer a question and "you are a fool because you don't know what you bought" isn't the best way.

The OP has, in effect, an SSD. It is in the format mSATA (i.e. on a map instead of the more traditional SSD hard drive change) and is configured to cache data frequently used to speed up operations and boot times.

The 16 GB is perfectly adequate to cache the Windows files required for booting.

Yes, most of the sellers are illiterate product but in this case, the OP got the result he wanted - a device of semiconductor to accelerate operations.

Hi, the best way is to go to C:\Windows\system32\Macromed\Flash Open Flash and after return the files listed here. If you installed Flash Player in the browser IE only, those who should be the only files listed.

Using IE, go to tools, manage addons and look under "Show"(very light text) look in all the addons or run without permission for Shockwave Flash Object. ". It should be Enabled and version # is also listed.

You can post back this info.

Contact HP > give them the series and EXACT model number.

You have given a serial number, not a model number.

    http://h20180.www2.HP.com/apps/lookup?h_lang=en&h_cc=us&cc=us&h_page=hpcom&lang=en&h_client=S-A-R163-1&h_pagetype=s-002&h_query=HP+dv2500+laptop.&submit.x=4&submit.y=2

There are 112 models in this series; read the info at the link above.

  • How do I know where my esxi OS is installed?

    Hello

I am looking at a host and I'm trying to find out where the image of the operating system is installed.

I have access to the host using the vi or SSH client. I don't have physical access to the server.

The vi client, I see 2 VMFS data warehouses. but that doesn't tell me anything.

If I putty ssh on the server, how can anyone know where, what partition, or what drives the esxi image is installed?

    Thank you.

An easy way to find out if ESXi is installed on the drive of dives and on which of them is to open the properties of the data store. This won't show information about the store of data itself, but also on the disk partitions.

  • How do you know what was the latest patch installed on VMware ESX Server 3i, 3.5.0 207095

    Hello guys,.

I've been running an old server that was installed in a test system on workstation DELL - Optiplex GX620 (32 bit).

During installation, I had to confirgure the file: /usr/lib/vmware/installer/Core/TargetFilter.py to change the following line:

"interface returned. GetInterfaceType() == ScsiInterface.SCSI_IFACE_TYPE_IDE' as follows:

"interface returned. GetInterfaceType() == ScsiInterface.SCSI_IFACE_TYPE_ISCSI' this is it worked and I used it for 3 years now. However, right now, I was hoping to be updated with the latest patches and updates and I do not know if I just ESX or ESXi, or what was my last update, and what it takes then.

I used this command to get the following result:

    # vmware - v

    VMware ESX Server 3i 3.5.0 build-207095

... I think that the 3i says I have an ESXi 3.5.0 but build 207095 the buid even as ESXi 3.5.0 patch 5?

If this is not the case, how should I do to update? What is the KB # I should download?

I can manage using vSphere Client 5.5 and I can't SSH using PuTTY.

Note: When I run... "# esxupdate - bundle = ESXe350-201302401-I - SG.zip updated ' of in the folder where his property in the data store, nothing happens... just a new line scrolls.

    Also...

    # esxupdate query

... is there any update for this system? I therefore believe that the patch software etc was not around when I was installing this server in 2010.

  • How will I know InForm minor version (build) before installing the product?

    Hello world

If I was a developer (or you have always wanted to be), or had friends in Prod Dev, I would not distract here (so you call a warning).

I need to know Oracle Health Sciences inform build number (aka minor version number?) without having to install the product.

It is a dotted version number normally observed in properties extended to most recent or dll, as well as files exe in 'about system' - like 6.1.0.1.1009, for example.

I need to know this '1009' part to install the package I will or will not be installed.

It is not mentioned in the release notes and not tied the number of patch in the name of the archive downloaded.

I tried to decompress data {#} .cab manually to check a few binary, but it must be a new format of InstallShield, so 7-zip and deballeurs as Universal Extractor cannot deal with it.

It sounds ridiculous that I need to spend hours to build a full blown server and installing a product just to get acquainted with this thing.

I must be missing something trivial (but see warning).

I'm OK with any solution - a link to the reference doc that lists built for versions 6.X or a patch number formula (if it exists), or a tool confirmed to unpack this version of Oracle CAB format is used to inform these days.

    Can anyone help?

    Thank you

    -S.

    MargiS thanks!

Moved to the Health Sciences Community.

In addition, found a friend in the development, which explains the common rule for other products, which is used to inform both:

If a product install media is supplied in the form of ISO image, then the last number name of file is the minor version, i.e. for InForm_60_x.y_zzzz.iso the build number zzzz.

  • How will I know if I'm still on version of ESR?

If I choose to help, topic, it shows I'm on Firefox 32.0.1. How do I know if I'm still on version of ESR.

You were probably using release 31.0 to get informed to 32.0

The ESR is updated with a new version of Firefox. A generation of ESR will NOT update to a version of output channel so please don't put not off updates 31esr will get just security (mainly) and the sometimes allowed stability fixes.

For example, 24. 8.0esr and 31. 1.0 was released when Firefox 32.0 was released. 24.9.0esr and 31. 2.0esr will come out when Firefox 33.0 is released.

The former 24 esr will only be supported for another version maybe.

The ESR is based on a version of Firefox all seven versions 10.0, 17.0 24.0 and now 31.0 and next year's 38.0

Edit: the 24.8.0esr was the last because there was no 24.9.0esr

  • How can I know what Adobe programs I need on my computer?

My Adobe Flash Player keeps crashing. I just downloaded Flash Player Plugin from 14 and noticed that I have 5 other Adobe programs on my computer. How can I know which ones I need to keep? Those I have is:

             Acrobat.com installed 7/03/2010;
             Flash Player 13 Active X installed 5/14/2014;
             Flash Player 14 Plugin installed 7/09/2014;
             Reader X (10.1.10) installed 5/19/2014; and
             Shockwave Player 12.0 installed 9/16/2013.

Given that you list the plugins installed below, any information about those do not necessary would be useful.

You don't need everything! But if you don't there is the 'stuff' you won't be able to do on the internet or read when you download a file that needs an Adobe program or plugin.

Flash Player 13 Active X installed 14/05/2014; = is for Internet Explorer

Acrobat.com installed on 03/07/2010; and Reader X (10.1.10) installed on 19/05/2014; You can display the same type of files - PDF - except the old plugin for Acrobat don't is not "seen" by Firefox, maybe an IE-only to Acrobat version?

Shockwave Player 12.0 installed 16/09/2013. = is not used too much more - I got rid of him (as) 5 or 7 years and don't even Miss

  • How will I know if a connection site is secure? In Safari or Explorer, there is an icon lock visual, but not in Firefox. Is there an add-on that meets this need?

How will I know if a connection site is secure? In Safari or Explorer there is a locking visual icon in the web browser window, but not in Firefox. Is there an add-on that meets this need?

The padlock shows only that there is a secure connection and does not guarantee that you are connected to the right server. So you could always be connected to the wrong server if you make a typing mistake in the URL and someone said that mistyped the URL. The lock feature has been replaced by the identity button of the Site on the left end of the address bar (address).

    https://support.Mozilla.com/en-us/KB/site+identity+button

    http://www.Mozilla.com/en-us/Firefox/security/identity/

This has actually existed since Firefox 3.0

If you still want an icon of padlock also then there is this Extension.

  • P3K49EA: How do you know which wireless adapter you have?

    Hey,.

I was looking at the Wi - Fi drivers for this specific unit but for many other portable, I can find the drivers for the network for a series of adapters Wi - Fi, like Intel, Realtek, and Qualcomm.

Many times, a way to solve the problem of falling of the internet is now by installing the last Intel Wi - Fi and Bluetooth card, but there are other drivers for the cards made by other manufacturers, how do I know for sure that my device has a processor intel Wi Fi adapter?

I don't know that, in some cases, you can check back and see exactly which wireless adapter you have, but who are these dependent region?

For example. each laptop, Pavilion, envy and water courses that are sold to the United Kingdom, all have an Intel wireless adapter? and if it was a laptop computer with an AMD processor and chipset?

Really looking forward to hearing from you guys.

    Thank you

    Steven

I suspect that you have installed the Realtek wired ethernet driver and Intel wifi driver. Only the driver for the hardware you have installed. In fact, the tag on the laptop won't tell you much. If you look to the top of the support page for your specific model, it will show the drivers for all the optional features available in this series of models. And Yes, the wireless cards can be region-specific. The regulation on radio communication varies around the world. That's why several wireless drivers are listed, some of which you can't use. Unless you are having problems just use office supplies Windows driver. If there is a problem, it may be necessary to know your specific hardware so that you can find a more specific driver from the manufacturer's Web site, or you can search the Internet for other people having a problem with this specific device and use other suggest drivers. I hope that this is a logic.
