How do I know of Portege R600 wireless card?

I have a Toshiba Portege R600-101 and would like to know what Wireless LAN card I have, to know what driver I need to download.

Using Device Manager is not an option, because I reinstall windows and now it does not recognize the card. How can I see this?

Hello

I think you can use Device Manager to find out what is the WLan card.
In-network cards > Device Manager, you can find the WLan card. Its should be listed as unknown device or Ethernet controller

Mark it and go to properties.
On the Details tab, you will find the DEV PCI ID and the VEN ID

You can use this database to search for the vendor id and the device id.

  • How do I know if I have ATI card too, and activate it

I have a Thinkpad T400 model (6474-B84), which contains a video card Mobile Intel (r) GMA 4500MHD with 1 GB of RAM. It takes a powerful card, but his performances in Second Life are incredibly bad and weak.

I did a Google search and I realized that T400 really two cards video: one integrated (Intel) and an additional a (ATI) and I should be able to switch between them, either in the BIOS, depending on the operating system on the fly. I have Windows XP Pro, so I had to use the method of the BIOS.

Then I entered the BIOS and I changed the discreet graphics card instead only in-house, but when I started WinXP and looked at the display options, I always had the card Intel GMA... why? How will I know if I have the cards? And how to move on the more powerful ATI card? It is a must to use metaverses. Thank you in advance.

There are T400 who has only card intel integrated, there are others who have the dual graphics card.

  • How to activate 3G on Portege R600-108

    Model No.: PPR61E-00D00CEN
    OS: Vista Business

I am sure that this model should have the capacity of 3G - there is an IMEI number on the case and each specification document lists 3G as being available. However, I can't get the laptop to recognise my SIM from Vodafone UK. In fact, I see no evidence that the device itself was recognized as there is no indication in the Device Manager, but the F3507g software will appear in programs and features. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling it as well as the 3 G RF control electricity without effect. If I use the USB Vodafone dongle, I can connect correctly, but the whole point of buying a laptop with built in 3G should get away who need unsightly devices.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I should do? Is there something in the BIOS, the registry or elsewhere who must be set to activate the device?

I'm also intrigued as to why the manual for this laptop model barely mentions 3 G capability. It's as if it was not a priority and is not correctly set implementation (which may explain why it does not work!).

    Any suggestions gratefully received.

Maybe Vodafone have locked the SIM card to a specific modem type? I would call Vodafone to confirm that you can use other Modems.

You have the 3 G Connection Manager installed? Download it on the site of Toshiba drivers, if it is not installed.

Also update the BIOS with the latest version.

  • How will I know if a current video card supports new HP 2511 x LED monitor?

I have HP Pavilion a750y (PJ621AV) CTO Desktop PC, Pentium (r) 4 CPU 3.20 Ghz,.99 GB of RAM, Microsoft Windows XP, Service Pack 3. Always have the same square screen, it came with December 2004: HPvf15 flat screen monitor with "Intel (r) 82915 G/910GL express chipset family. '  I took "VGA".   I replaced the power supply twice and think I have more than enough power, space in the box connections and power, but I'm not sure about my ability to go tinkering with the layout new video accelerator card, or whatever the right terminology is.  I have looked at the information under "device" system but do not know enough to make sense what I read to go to the store and buy a new monitor with confidence.  I would get a new larger screen (the HP2511x LED seems to have good reviews and has a VGA plug), but I don't want to get it and then find out that Word documents are too blurry to read with Accelerator/current video card, regardless of the term is.  About 70% of the time, we use the computer for the production of documents and 30% for Internet display for the occasion of the shows or movies.

    Hello

The following may not be what you want to hear, but that's my honest and frank opinion.

With a 2004 PC that is generations behind current models, you really should hreconsider invest in a card video, power supply, and LCD screen. The video card, power supplies and LCD are likely to cost much more than the current value of your PC.

Upgrade to a monitor 25 inches capable of 1080 p (HD) for your PC can collect not you the best return on investment. You may find yourself better to consider upgrading to a newer PC.

    Best regards

  • Equium L10: How to configure the wireless card to pick up the router?

Am wireless news and putting in place Broadband BT BT Voyager2091 router. Laptop wireless button in 'on', but is unable to connect or view available wireless networks. How to set up the portable integrated wireless card to pick up the router?

    Hello

First of all, I hope that your camera comes with the wireless network card and the wireless network adapter is listed in the device under network adapters Manager.

The card must be activated first with wireless switch that you can find on the front of your laptop near the lights on the system (right). When the adapter is enabled using FN F8 key combination to activate the card. When you use the FN keys in the middle of the screen, you will see a small window. When the FN button pressed constantly, whenever using the F8 key the different symbol will be chosen.

Go to START > Control Panel > network connections. Click with the right button on wireless network connection and choose Properties. Chose the WIRELESS NETWORKS, tab and activate the option called use Windows to set up?

At this point the available networks are listed. Select view wireless networks. If your WLAN is listed here you must configure the connection if the password is set.

    Try it!

  • Satellite M50 - wireless card disappeared

    Hey.

Prolly newb question, but I just can't understand this. I can't find my WIRELESS card, my XP does not recognize it. I think I need some kind of driver for it, but I already tried to install several, including the one on this page. Problem is probably, I don't know what model of wireless card has my satellite.

I tried google, but the jungle brought me here :)
    Thank you.

    Hello!

What Satellite M50 laptop are you excactly?
From Toshiba Web site shows only an Intel driver for Satellite M50 (PSM50E and PSM51E) and to Satellite M50 (PSM53E) a driver Atheros.
Then choose your model and download the driver.

An update of the BIOS might also solve the problem, but in your case I would try first upgrading the driver.

  • Can I install a wireless card in my Satellite P30-141 wireless Bay?

P30-141 does not come with wireless capabilities and I can't follow all the cables of wireless antennas that must reside in the top cover of the machine, but I would like to know if it is possible to undertake my own installation of a toshiba wireless card? Would anyone out there know of a specific wireless card model / reference number that could be used to do this? I am quiet happy tinkering around inside the machine, like its four years past the warranty I think I already replaced the LCD once, so I'm pretty familiar with the guts, just can't find any documentation on this component getting in this particular machine.

Any advice would be a great help!

    Hello

As far as I know the number of units of the Satellite P30 series were equipped with card WLan.
So I think that the motherboard must contain the necessary PCI WLan mini slot.
But the question is if this unit was equipped with the WLan antenna.
If there is no cable antenna (black, white) near the miniPCI location, then this would mean that the WLan antenna is not available and this means that you could not install the card miniPCI Wlan module.
Without the antenna you will receive no WLan signal!

Why you n t try a USB WiFi key? It s in use and you don t just any external antenna.

  • Portege R600 - how to use the external monitor on the docking automatically

Hi - I just got a new Portege; R600-102. It's a great machine - very light and fast.

I connect to a Slim port replicator to the office and I wish I could anchor and automatically use the external monitor without opening the laptop. Can someone point me in the right direction on how to do it? This process has worked well on my recently retired Dell X 300.

    More precisely:
    # I have the laptop closed Portégé and standby mode
    # I anchor in the Slim Port Replicator (SPR)
    # I press the button 'on' on the SPR
    # I see the message "recovery windows" and the bars of the countdown on the external monitor. (So I know it's connected and you can see the external monitor)
    # The laptop turns on but use the laptop screen (private) LCD
    # I have to open it and manually tell it 'out to watch.
    What can be automatically?

    Thanks for the tips.

    Hello

As far as I know that the wireless card is optional on this unit. This means you have the opportunity to upgrade the unit with the wireless Mini-PCI card. At the bottom of the unit, you will find a machine slot for this card.

Please visit this site to check what wireless card is compatible with your device:

  • Portege R600: How can I activate the modem 3G without original modem minipci slot

    Hello everyone,

I own a Portege R600 (10 s) for laptop and I often use mobile internet.

The built-in modem Ericsson 3507 is buggy, always freeze (and who need reset) from time to time. No firmware update or driver makes it more stable.
So, I bought another 3G mini-pci modem, a huawei EM770, to replace the original modem.

The problem is that I can't use more of the Fn + F8 combination to power on the 3G modem.
The modem huawei is well detected, installed, but no power (the blue led is off).

The question is how can I turn on the connector of the modem 3G mini-pci, without the original E3507 modem?
Thank you in advance for any lawyer.

    M.

Toshiba Value added package and control RF Utility 3 G are related to the F3507g (and F3607gw) and will not work with integrated modules, not supported by Toshiba.
There could be BIOS problems as well.

What was the problem with your F3507g?
Looks like it works for many people.
Maybe you have a bad Apple?
