  I have a program that generates a postscript and then 'prints' the script in a PDF file using gs.

  The user can opt for the document in landscape format.  The program handles this with the addition of the 'Rotation 90' command early in the script.  It works without problem.  When the user opens the PDF file in Adobe Acrobat, it is displayed in landscape orientation.

  In addition, the user may have a "watermark", adding the document which is the text at an angle of 60 degrees.  This is handled by the emission of the "rotation of 60", then the text of the watermark, then "rotation-60.  This also works without problem.  The resulting PDF file has watermark text at an angle of 60 degrees to the rest of the text in the document.

  The problem is when these two options are used together.  The document is correctly mounted (in orientation landscape with a watermark properly tilted), but it is displayed in Acrobat in portrait, forcing the user to rotate to be able to read it.  When I look at the postscript, it seems OK, just the sum of these two options:

  rotation of 90

  things...

  60 rotate

  ... watermark text...

  turn-60

  ... the rest of the document...

  'Net turnover' is 90, leading me to believe that it would be displayed in landscape orientation, but it is displayed in portrait mode.

  There is no other sizing page not declared in the script.

  How can I get the document to display in the landscape when opened in Acrobat?  Thank you.

  Check to see that the 'gs' (ghostscript) isn't reorienting the page, by default, based on what he thinks is the correct meaning of reading.

  I just upgraded to ID CS5 and I'm really impressed with the improvements. Of course, however, some aspects take a few adjustments that brings me to my question. How can I specify the size of the "printed" page when you export a PDF file? Basically, in CS4 I could set up a document to have, for example a page size of 20x20cm. I could then print it in PDF format and select a page A4 format. This meant that I could get my printer to print the document of 20 x 20 irregular size on a standard paper size and include benchmarks of crop etc. In CS5, I cannot get ID to export the pages that they are configured (i.e. 20x20cm).

  I don't know I must be missing something obvious here, someone has any ideas?

  Workaround: Save each 'section' in separate PDF and bring together them in a portfolio. Visitors can reorganize the sections for the delight of their heart.

  You can manage only two ways.  One, add a hidden field to the form that passes a value, then check if the value exists in the URL/FORM variables (if it exists, the page is reloaded by sending the form - if it does exist, it's the first load of the page).

  Perhaps a better approach would be to manage the form via an AJAX request is sent, and then hide the form if the AJAX request is successful.  This all is possible using JavaScript.  The advantage is that the user leaves the page never actually or it recharges.

  5 pages is located in your Applications folder.

  Pages ' 08 is located in your Applications/iWork ' 08 folder.

  If you open your old documents Pages ' 08 with 5 Pages it will convert and if not damage, remove a large number of useful features.

  You will probably regret upgrading to 5 Pages which Apple has made extremely inconsistent and keeps changing its file format.

  What you want, it's a non-linear editing.

  iBA, a linear editor that builds strictly on XML scripted, has never been placed in this area - also note you aren't one to notice, which means Apple has heard this lament from the first day, and no imminent change. I wouldn't hold my breath on a change of iBA direction anytime soon.

  A simple movement of Pages, LibreOffice or Word would solve your problems immediately.

  Thank you for your message.  Because it's really a question of iTunes I refer you to http://www.apple.com/au/support/itunes/.  Support you should get it will ensure that all your media will be transferred correctly.  This is a forum for Vista, and many people have different one from the other configurations.  A good answer for a single person on this forum could still lose you some of your files, because the installation program may be different.  Good luck.
