How do I share content between 2 accounts different iTunes?

Hello.

I'm totally incompetent with my iMac and iTunes and need help on the sly.

Operating system is El Capitan (or El Crapitan... El Crashitan... nothing works correctly since the upgrade)

I have an iTunes account under my email address/username.

My daughters have iTunes accounts under their email addresses/usernames.

I would like to avoid to redeem or reuploading of music on their accounts, and I understand that we are able to share content.

The question... How can I do this?

Please, I'm probably old enough to be your mother or your grandmother... be indulgent.   I tried many things proposed in the forums without success, so decided, it is probably best to ask me a specific question.

My husband writes code for a living and that he either cannot understand.   Probably why the Cisco stock is so low.   I guess that's a different beast altogether.  But I digress.

Thank you in advance!

You are funny...

If we talk about sharing content purchased from the iTunes Store, since you all have Apple ID, you can try the service shares the family Apple, such as described by Apple here

https://www.Apple.com/icloud/family-sharing/

This allows each family member to download previous purchases made by others, free of charge.  This is handled from the iCloud system preferences pane, and it's free.

  • How can I share files between Windows 7 Pro and a Mac with os x?

I have Windows 7 Professional and my colleague had a Mac with os x installed. We are physically in the same room, sharing a wifi connection. How to share files between two computers? That each of them should do on his computer?

If you display links, please check beforehand that the procedure for the mac is here. I found in the internet or other of the procedures for older systems Win or network only between Win 7 PCs.

    MOSH

Of course, you can do it easily. In fact, the implementation of sharing on Win7 last month was almost as easy as it is on OS X.  ;-) I find that the snow leopard has the same bugginess of show Windows machines only randomly in the sharing of the Finder section, as it did in Leopard, however. I usually connect to Windows machines by opening a window of Finder and using go > connect to server > smb://Windows-computer-name instead. In the Win7 box, I have the network to the desktop icon (you can get this to customize > change icon).

On OS X, make sure you have checked in the file sharing system preferences > sharing. Click the Options button, and then select "share files and folders using SMB." Add the shared directories as you wish.

You must create accounts/passwords user on the Mac and Windows 7. You do not need to be logged into the same account on all machines and assigned to each user account passwords can be different; accounts/passwords just need to exist and to match on all machines. DO NOT NEGLECT TO CREATE PASSWORDS, EVEN IF ONLY OF SIMPLE. If you want a machine to boot directly to the desktop in Win7 (a particular user account) for convenience, you can do this.

Start > Search box > type: netplwiz [Enter]
Click continue (or provide an administrator password) when you are prompted by UAC

Uncheck "users must enter a user name and password to use this computer". Select a user account to connect automatically by clicking on the account you want to highlight and press OK. Enter the password for this user account (when it exists) when you are prompted. Leave blank if there is no password (null).

You can find options to logon automatically for OS X in system preferences > accounts.

On Win7, go to control panel > all items in Control Panel > network and sharing Center. Click on "change the advanced sharing settings. You do not want to use Homegroup.

Discovery of plug in the network
Open the files and printers sharing
Turn on the sharing section Public folder sharing
    Plug the password protected sharing

Configure the firewall on all machines to allow traffic to local area network (LAN) as being approved. With the Windows Firewall, Configuration File and Printer Sharing ON will take care of that for these machines, and if you are not running a third-party firewall or you have an antivirus/security with its own firewall component program, then you're fine.  With a third-party firewall, I usually set up the allocation of LAN with an IP address range. E.g. would be 192.168.1.0 - 192.168.1.254. Obviously you would substitute your correct subnet. Refer to the safety of any third party program or the user forums for how to correctly configure its firewall. Do not run more than one firewall. DON'T STOP FIREWALLS; CONFIGURE THEM CORRECTLY.

OS X Firewall is done in System Preferences > Security. Click the lock to make changes, and then click the Advanced button to ensure that SMB sharing is allowed. If you set up in the share pod, it will be.

On Win7, create shares as desired. I usually just share the Public, users desktop folder and all hard drives of additional data in the system. MS - MVP - Elephant Boy computers - don't panic!

  • How to change the content of the 'account name' column in the' overview of accounts. "

    Hello

I use Oracle Identity Manager 11 GR 2!

In the Self-Service under "My access", I see a list of all the service accounts. If for example I create a account, then there's a strage number displayed in the "Account name" column  See my photo...

    See the image: IOM user

My question is, how can I change the contents of this column? I never put this number!

    Thank you!

    BR

To change the name of the account to the account user id, you can follow the instructions below:

    1. open the form of the process of the resource that you want to display the user id as the name of account, instead of this strange number for example. UD_IPNT_USR

    2. create a new version of the form.

    3. go in the Properties tab.

    4. Select the user ID property and click on add property button.

    5. Select the account name and the value is false.

    6. save the form and make the version active.

7 connect to IOM self-service console, select a user with iplanet account for her. You can see the user id of the account in the account instead of the strange number name,

  • How the transport/share story between machines manually?

I have a couple of computers that I would have hand history (navigation URL), but I would do it manually, rather than through Synch. I've been copy places.sqlite and sessionstore.js between machines, and it does not work most of the time, even if sometimes the story gets fully resolved (maybe when I add or edit bookmarks on a machine?) I have not determined the exact circumstances again). Is there another file or files that I could copy for reliable sharing story (hopefully much less than the subdirectory is any profile)? Thanks in advance for any help!
    -John

There is no official intermediate format supported for import and export history, so places.sqlite is probably the best folder to share. Of course, you need Firefox to be closed at both ends (before the copy, before you paste) so that the temporary files used for the effectiveness of the database are fully reconciled with the main places.sqlite file. Or maybe bad things happen...

WE have marketed family sharing. We have followed all the instructions. It should work. We bought the entire series of a TV show on a single device, but we can not access it on other devices. He asks us to pay again. How to make this work?

You need to go to the purchased tab (not the main part of the store) in the app Store iTunes on their device, select the account bought from the series, and if he or she has not hidden and active on their account sharing the series, it should show for redownloading.

Copy / paste is a way (you can have more than one website open at a time in the Muse), another is to add your items that you want to reuse in your library and then just drag and drop them on a from there.

  • How to update AND move between platforms with different Endians...?

    Hi all

I have two databases - a 500 GB - and the other 50 GB running on 10.2.0.4 on AIX 64-bit. They are Production systems.

I have to move them to a new Linux (RHEL 5.6 - 64-bit) server that will run 11.2.0.2.

For the test, I'm OK with what is done with Data Pump. But for the passage be made to the "new Prod", this will result in the value of the hours of downtime and it is a critical system, so I will try to mitigate that as much as I can.

Naively, I was hoping to use RMAN to both move the databases from one box to the other, but also to upgrade. I say to myself that I would do the following (as directed by Metalink 369644.1) I have a catalog of recovery, etc, etc:

Install the binaries on the server of new Prod
Connect to the RCAT, and restore the database and recovery of a pit
To upgrade the database manually by putting the DB in the UPGRADE to STARTUP and running of the catupgrd.sql

Unfortunately, I didn't know that the Endian differed between AIX and RHEL (according to 1079563.1). Oops.

It's not like I'll be able to use Transportable Tablespaces (according to 243304.1) or without having first to migrate the data through a 10 DB g and then upgrade.

So my options seem to be:
    (a) data pump and suck the failure
    (b) move the portable data using Tablespaces to 10.2.0.4 and then switch to 11.2.0.2.

Are there other options? I hope that a logical standby would work in this case to the rolling upgrade, but suspect that the different o/s AND the different Endian would sabotage the idea...

    Mark

Maybe, I have more experience using concurrent export/import using the traditional exp/imp utility that using the parallel option on expdp/impdp. One thing you can do with exp/imp you can't do with expdp/impdp is export to a named pipe, start a remove copy channel named on the new server and then start the import from the channel named on the new server so that you import all still exporting the same objects. We use tables = exports when we did back when the tables = parameter could handle only 99 tables. We had a separate export for each table and then a set of exports to 99 tables for each of the other tasks run simultaneous processes of 6 to 12.

One thing to look at is data history. Potentially some tables can be moved before the majority of the application objects and replaced by the synonym to remote objects.

Really static tables could also be moved beforehand, even only a day or two before reducing the number of objects to move.

Build the new database in noarchive log mode to save a treatment and he switch and immediately save when you migrate.

And Yes, if the two platforms appear in the name of the view I gave you so you can use transportable tablespaces with the rman conversion step. Instructions for use rman to perform the conversion are in the manual of rman.

    Hello

Y at - it a simple way to share content between operating systems.

We have invited several BONES that make similar task. Run us simultaneously with the slightly different variant, but basically, most of the files that are needed in each guest operating system are the same.

What I want to achieve is to build a repository of centralized files accessible across operating systems. I'm running Win7 and WinXP Win2008 OSes on ESXi 5 comments.

I found this thread, but it is too old.

I'm hoping there have been changes since that thread has been discussed.

    Thank you

Well, I can't tell you much about the user experience expected without knowing the network load. However, if install you the file server as an another VM on the same host, you will have at least a 1GBit/s connection between the virtual machines.
