How do I uncheck 'always available offline '?

I checked 'always available offline' on a large network directory and kicking off the coast a synchronization, but quickly realized that it would take forever (almost 10 GB via a VPN connection to an office in Britain when I am in Ireland). So I interrupted synchronization via Sync Center in Control Panel.

I then tried to uncheck the option to context menu just clicking on it again. That had no effect.

I opened the properties dialogue box, went into the tab files out of connection and unchecked the "always available offline" check box and click OK. But when I opened the Properties dialog box again and went to the offline files tab, the box is always checked.

Can anyone suggest anything? I don't want to disable the ability of the machine to sync, I just want to remove this specific folder synchronization.

  • 'Always available offline' missing - windows 7 Professional - sync enabled

Hello, I have a network drive and am running windows 7 Professional.

When I right click on the file I want to make available offline, the option does not exist.
I also activated the Sync Center. (see image)
    Thoughts?

I know that it is a very old message, but I had the same problem, all active and configured, but no context menu entry appears and I have found no answer on the internet to fix. Finally I have found a solution myself:

First of all, I would like to thank Microsoft for the total absence of advanced documentation (public AND internal, knowing that the technical support engineers may not know what the problem is) on this issue.

-No doubt - there are perhaps other special cases and the potential causes of non-showing the 'always available offline' menu. But here's my case, which was not described until I read a few pages of answers:

I use Windows 7 and some NAS devices as file servers for our small business. We do not have any field, we work as members of the working group. We have therefore every login + password on each workstation and also separate login + password on a NAS device.

As many users, I checked the "remember my credentials" in the login box at the connection to the NAS, for convenience.

BUT THIS IS PREVENTING 'always available offline' TO BE DISPLAYED in THE CONTEXT MENU.

Simply, I went to control panel / user accounts and parental controls / user accounts / manage your credentials (left pane), then selected and deleted the credentials for my NAS server.

From then on, I have the 'always available offline' menu that appears in Solution Explorer :) But I have to type identify with my password once per session to connect to the NAS :(

    Even this link

    https://TechNet.Microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc978347.aspx

    does not mention that

I wish someone at Microsoft could make an exhaustive list of possible causes preventing the menu appears, it would be such a relief!

  • 'Always available offline' is not visible when I right-click on a file in the network.

I assumed that putting computers in a home group could solve the problem, but I get an error that IPv6 is not available.

Connectivity IPv6 is not supported by my router (linksys WRT150N).  Y at - it solution or a wireless router that works?  I am running Win 7 Pro 64 bits on a computer and Win 7 Pro 32 bit on my laptop.  I can see the network files and transfer them OK.

What I really need to work is the offline files feature.  When I see the network files and right-click on the files, the option 'always available offline' is not visible.  I have to be in a homegroup for offline files work?

    Hi DickCookVS

If the offline files option is disabled, you will need to enable it, if you want to work with files offline to a network folder.

    a. open offline files by clicking the Start button. In the search box, type offline filesand then in the list of results, click manage offline files.

    b. on the general tab, click enable offline files.

You will need to restart your computer for the changes to take effect.

  • 'Always available offline' not available on the properties or the context menu

    Running Windows 7 Enterprise 64-bit

To make a network folder 'always available offline' is not available on the folder properties or the context menu.
    I tried:
    1. Enabling and Disabling offline files
    2. Reset the cache by disabling offline files, delete everything in the offline files folder, and re-enable offline files.
    3. Everything here: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en/w7itpronetworking/thread/6285c814-837c-4798-838f-e2ba00dec5fe

  • How can I disable always 'work offline' for specific files/folders in Vista?

Help files offline with all the challenges of Vista, but most of the time it works.  However, I have a number of files that are currently available offline that I no longer need to use offline.  I followed the normal steps of the click right and is going to click on the button "Always work offline", but it is disabled (grayed out).  I thought it might mean that I'm out of sync, but after a synch-all, the selection is always disabled.  Is there a way to Vista to do this?

    I want to say is,

Will be the synchronization process only pick up & roll down the changes that may have been made since the previous synchronization, or it will re - download all the contents of the file regardless of the fact that there are updates or not?

Only files that have changed, it is a "delta".  Files that have not changed are ignored because there is no reason to download this data.

  • printer always goes offline

I have a printer HP Photosmart C309A series (HPOA6324), which is regularly offline when I try to use it. I connected via a wireless network at two HP computers, both running Windows 7, 64 bit OS. I have the printer should still be available, but he's always going offline without telling me she. To get online I usually have to restore my wireless connection or restart my desktop computer.

    Hi Lydia,.

    Thanks for the reply!

Because the printer seems to have a solid connection, I wonder if it is just a problem with the driver, especially since you mentioned these automatic updates. I suggest that go you into your devices and printers, remove the Photosmart C309a and then re-run the software (you can download it from here) to get the driver reinstalled.

I would like to know how it goes for you!

  • Since the update to ios9.2 it gives me is no longer the possibility to make music available offline? I pay for it! The music does not have the option! Help?

Have Apple stopped the music to make available offline on iOS 9.2? because absolutely no music will give this option since the update!

This feature is NOT removed from Apple's music but how to download the music has been slightly modified. Now, when you select the menu... on a song or an album instead of hitting "make available offline" there is a cloud with an arrow icon down. You can tap on this icon to download your music for offline listening.

  • is the function of 'make available offline' for abandoned Apple music

until the last update for IOS 9.2 available offline feature do worked for apple's music.  Now, he'll play only (if I'm not connected to WIFI) using cellular data.  This feature is no longer available.  It was the main reason that I joined the apple music.

No, it is always available. When you view an album or open the pop for a song, you should see a sign +. This adds to 'Your Music' and is replaced by a cloud symbol. The symbol of the cloud downloads the track (s) for offline listening.

I would be remiss in my duty if I didn't point out that Firefox 28 has some vulnerabilities that were disclosed to the public. For optimal security, you should switch to Firefox 29. I know that some user interface changes have been controversial, but there are a variety of resources and, of course, this forum in order to get Firefox 29 to look and work like you want.

  • Contact seems to be always in offline mode

I have a contact who seems to be always in offline mode, even if she is actually online. This means that I can't do a video call to her, only to send messages. But she can call me video. What can I or she do to change this?

It is perhaps online but with the Invisible State. Right click on its name in the contacts list, and then select call. When she answers the call, you can try to turn on your webcam.

  • In the music of Apple, why have I not the option 'make available offline' more? He disappeared for months, regardless of the song I am listening.

I am a subscriber of music to apple for months now, and initially, it worked fine. Then one day, I didn't have the 'make available offline' option more, and it never came back.  I tried many songs, thinking that perhaps the option has been locked for some songs, but it did not help. If I can't download music, then I won't keep my subscription being Apple's music.

    Hi Jpashko,

If you try to download music on your iPhone for listening offline, have a look at the instructions below:

    * You can download music on up to 10 devices. These songs are only available during your membership of Apple's music.

On your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch

    1. In the music application, find the element you want to download.
    2. Tap the More Options to the right of the name of the song, album, or playlist.
    3. Press the download icon to the right of the article work.

If you see a instead of the download icon, the question is not in your iCloud music library.

Press on the to add the item to my music, then press on the download icon to download the agenda on your device.

Songs and albums appear under my music > library. Playlists appear under my music > playlists.
