  I uninstall applications CS6, and then use the lighter tool to ensure that all got deleted. Leaving unattended update applications should not cause this kind of problem. When you reinstall / update I would try to do so under different conditions, disable any antivirus software that is running and try to install within a new user account with administrative rights.
