How do you enable QuickWeb on Dm1z-3200?

There is no option in the Bios to enable QuickWeb, then how do activate you it?

There are QuickWeb 3.0 installation hard disk files, so it is supposed to work on the device, but without the option in the Bios, how does it work?

Alain

PS: I know that the Bios F.12, there is an option to activate QuickWeb in the menu "Start Options", and I saw this option on any new Dm1-3020us (which QUickWeb 1.x), but this option is NOT available on the 3200, as others have reported.

I was unable to start my CTO 3200 QuickWeb dm1z.  He did list QuickWeb as feature on HP Shopping site where I bought it. I have to start once accidentally, but could not repeat. So I tried an online discussion with HP, but the tech said (after about 20 minutes of me power walking, etc.), it was not on my machine.  Then I called HP support. After about 30 minutes on the phone with the technology, he concluded it had not been installed or I had removed. (He didn't listen when I told I have had started once by chance.)  He had put under tension, by pressing F10 or escape, reload the BIOS, runnig management records and several other tasks, but all without success.  He wanted to do me a full system restore.  After two days of personalization and to install my apps, I wasn't about to do. I hesitated and left the issue until today.

Unlike other messages here, it is on the dm1z CTO 3200. Today, I discovered (by accident, once again) how to launch it. With the machine off, press the button with the small globe on it (this is the F5 key without pressing Fn). The machine power and starts in QuickWeb (Linux?). Such a simple solution and HP could not provide.  I am much disappointed in the HP support. They don't know even how to operate their own products.

I hope this helps someone else with the same question.

The network that I am putting in place consists of two desktop computers and a laptop computer. Only a computer using Windows 7 Professional, others are using XP Professional. I'm trying to remote control them.

    A few notes.
One, I edited the the duplicates, but I'm 100% positive, I typed the password. I use the same user name and passwords on all my computers. When I received the "access denied" message, I tried three times just to be sure.
Two, I'm REALLY confused why I see my two accounts, but I don't see the other two users accounts when I did "dir \\slicksgateway\users". I expect to see all, or only see 'public' and 'slick' files since that was the account that I'm registered on two.

Obviously, I need to do something to grant access to the system. How, I'm not sure. Telnet works. Remote administration works. File actions work. Ping works.

I found someone to work who has thought about it and helped me as the boss wanted a way to run a program to ensure that everyone turn off their computers at the end of the day. Computers of the workshop are on a workgroup rather than a domain, and apart from a couple of computers that share printers, they are for the most part self-contained with little security systems as they are for the most part to test materials and users HAVE administrator accounts premises because they regularly install test equipment.

He accompanied me in the creation of a security model. I managed to make it work on my XP desktop computer. Now, I have a question about security templates.

I know that a model created in 2000, almost always work with XP, and a man named in XP will still work with Server 2003 (and I think vice versa, although the server may have more options). Do the same comparability and restrictions apply to the use of a model created in XP in Windows 7, or do I need to go through the same steps in 7 to make a new model?

Also, is there a way I could apply the model to a Home of Windows version? I do not know how to apply security templates do not have access to things like the local security policy. I'm afraid the only computer I have with a Home set up version is Vista Home, if it makes a difference.

    * * * *

    1. Here are the steps to make the model:
    2. Use an administrator account and run MMC.

(If you do NOT want to mess with the creation of a model and you want to just allow the stopping distance on a single machine, use secpol.msc. Gpedit.MSC also works)
  • Right-click on the directory and create a new model. Call it what you want (I called him "RemoteShutdown". Pass it if you use the tool secpol or gpedit)
  • Expand "Local policies" and "user rights assignment".
  • Find "Force shutdown from a remote system" and double-click it.
  • Here, it varies, if you want to only some users, add them here in the box. However, if you want groups, including groups integrity as the 'administrators' 'users' and 'interactive', you NEED to click on 'Browse' and then click on object types and check the box for groups. Enter the name of the group, and then click the button "check names". You have to go through this for each group or for some reason any, that it might not work. I tested and confirmed it does not always recognize the 'users' group unless you go through these extra steps. That's why I had so much trouble.
  • Then repeat steps 5 and 6 using the "Shut down the system" policy Adding the 'interactive' group here can also be a good idea. It is very important that any user or group that you entered in step 6 also be entered here.
  • Save the model. Install and apply the model to all computers on the network you want to be able to remotely close.

  • How can I enable disable Activity Manager?

How can I enable disable Activity Manager?

    General information:
The activity Manager records all interactions between Thunderbird and your e-mail in one place provider. There is no guesswork more. Just look in one place to see what's going on with your email.
Activity Manager allows you to follow more closely what is happening in the system and what activities are currently performed (for example, synchronization of folders offline IMAP, download new POP messages). The info in the status bar may appear and disappear quickly sometimes before able to read, but the info is displayed in the Manager activity.

Useful in the audit of what has occurred and are auto stocks. This can help in the troubleshooting section.

It appears if you select 'Tools' > 'the activity Manager.
Thus, it is not something that suddenly arises every two minutes to annoy the user.
The journal is deleted whenever you leave Thunderbird or you can clear the log manually.
    "Tools" > "activity Manager".
Click on the button 'clear list '.

This is an unusual request to stop the activity of logging as a background process and the only way to check what activity account has or has not occurred.

I have searched and checked preferences to see if it could be turned off, but nothing helped.

    Hello!
How can I enable the memory remapping in BIOS (5.90) on my laptop?

    Thank you.

    Hello

It seems a problem with the Microsoft 32-bit Windows operating system.

    Please check this:
    http://support.toshiba-tro.de/KB0/TSB7601WE0007R01.htm

    You can find this info:

    _Issue: _
I put in the memory 2x2gb in my book * and the BIOS * and the operating system is worth about 3 GB

    _Solution: _
This is a limitation of the 32-bit system.
System resources need of addressing which overlaps physical memory below 4 GB.
These requirements can reduce available addressable memory space to and reported by the operating system

  • My iCloud is full and I would like to spend on 5000photos on the hard drive and then remove them to iCloud.  How do you do that?

My iCloud is full and I want to transfer most of my 5000 images in the cloud on the hard drive on my iMac which is about 10% of storage capacity.  How can I do this?  Thank you

    1. Photos > Preferences > iCloud > iCloud (original Dungeon) photo library
    2. Wait for them to download

If you want to remove the cloud, you can do two things:

System Preferences > iCloud > manage > photo library > remove and disable

    or

iCloud.com > pictures (select and delete)

Please note, however, if you enable iCloud library again at any time in the future on your Mac, all the photos on your Mac will download again. You may find that buying more space iCloud is the best answer for you.

    Hello!

    I got help.

How can I enable AHCI in dv7 6199us? And install windows on a SSD?

Intel based computers, like yours, are usually set to "RAID", which is a superset of "AHCI". Basically, if the BIOS won't let you choose between "IDE mode", "AHCI" and "RAID", leaving in the RAID led to you everything done "AHCI". In this case there is no need to activate the AHCI, as RAID will support an SSD anyway.

  • How can I enable the memory remapping?

I want to know the steps I must follow to enable the memory remapping. what I should I look for in the search bar of windows, the run menu, etc..

    Hello

-What is the operating system installed on your computer?

To enable the memory remapping, I suggest you enable in the BIOS and check if it helps.
BIOS - how to enter the BIOS?
Each computer is different, when you turn on the computer, it should tell you what button to push to get into the BIOS. This is usually one of the following values, and you have to push it in the first 5 seconds: F1 F2 F10 F12 ESC LED
Once in the BIOS find the menu with the remapping of memory, it is different on each computer.

    Enable memory remapping feature
Check the BIOS settings to see if the memory remapping feature is enabled. Remapping memory access Windows for more memory. You can enable the memory remapping feature in the BIOS by starting the configuration of the system. See the Guide to your computer for instructions on starting the installation of the system on your computer. The name of the memory remapping feature may be different for different hardware vendors. This may be listed as remapping memory, memory expansion, or something similar. Don't forget that your computer can not supported the memory remapping feature.

Note: BIOS change / semiconductor (CMOS) to complementary metal oxide settings can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the configuration of the BIOS/CMOS settings can be solved. Changes to settings are at your own risk.

    For reference:
Usable memory may be less than the memory installed on Windows 7 computers:
