  Just for clarity, the strict answer to your question is 'no': you can't just Lightroom for the same price as the bundle Lr/Photoshop Creative Cloud (CC).

  You can buy a stand-alone license for Lightroom only - that's what Don and Elijah helped you to find - but the terms of pricing (and licenses) are entirely different from those that make up the whole of the CC.

  Also note, it is likely that Lightroom 6 will come before long (although how long is not known): almost certainly, you will pay for the upgrade to Lr 6 If you are on a stand-alone license, then just 5 to 6 (7 and to...) is included in the price of the set.

  As says Dorin, your photos are still there.  Lightroom does not modify your images, so they are always there in any format you've imported the.  If you do not use Lightroom, you can visit the changes to your images in Lightroom unless that, while you still have Lightroom:

  • You export the images (to TIF or JPEG)
  • In the Edit menu, settings tab's catalog metadata, you check "Write automatically changes into XMP", whereby cases, the changes are written to the XMP sidecar files, which can be read by ACR in Photoshop (or elements, I think).

  For you out a fix, as c.frans says, download the RC2 LR4.1.  To do this, no number of series but I think that it expires in June, so be sure to make one of the two options, I mentioned above before this date.

  I don't quite understand how to get an automatic lasso around an object in a photo.  I saw other people to do, but don't know how.  (I don't want to draw around the object, myself, I want photoshop to do to make it a perfect lasso around the object.

  Go to library > application support > adobe > photoshop elements > 9.0 > local > en_US (or location) and delete the mediaDatabase.db3. The next time you start PES, wait until the effect controls panel is filled before you try to use the program.

  Note that this is the library at the top level of your hard drive, no system > library or your username > library.

  I want to add two widgets (unalterable textfields or labels) on my GUI to show the ProgressPercent and ProgressText so that my two widgets look the same as the ProgressPercent and the ProgressText that appear in the toolbar state of TestStand.

  Is it as simple as calling ConnectCaption() and somehow that connects the ProgressPercent and ProgressText on my widgets?

  I think what you're trying is very close to work, you just need to use the ConnectionActivity event instead of the event Change. At least, it sounds like that by looking at the documentation for ConnnectionActivity.
