How do you prevent Firefox to use random, incorrect icons? (Win8.1)

I have a strange problem where Firefox (v30.0) uses icons incorrect, random, both in GUI and on some web pages (including Gmail). When I use the mouse to hover over the icon, then go to the correct icon. I tried to restart Firefox, reinstall Firefox, reinstall Firefox with reboot, nothing helps. I can't find anything on this in the user forums. These seem to come to occur during the last 2 weeks, do not know if there was an update of Firefox involved.

Thank you very much for the help!

You can try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox.

  • Tools > Options > advanced > General > Browsing: "use hardware acceleration when available.

You must close and restart Firefox after enabling/disabling this setting.

    Hi Richard,

You can select no Muse when creating a package.

In addition, the Muse is therefore more a part of the Exceptions folder. It is only installed through the build configuration.

  • How do you prevent bookmarks (library) to appear on each page of the Web site I visit?

The library takes the 'focus' and blocks the view of what I'm watching on the web page. I use Windows 7, Firefox 25.0 "up-to-date".

To disable the protected mode you edit or create a configuration file in the Flash under C:\Windows folder. The folder where you are editing varies depending on whether your Windows 7 is 32-bit or 64-bit. Maybe this will help.

    (1) in a window of my computer or Windows Explorer, open this folder:

    C:\Windows\SysWOW64\Macromed\Flash

If this folder does not exist, then you are using 32-bit Windows, and you can open the following folder instead:

    C:\Windows\System32\Macromed\Flash

(Note: this folder exists on Windows 32-bit and 64-bit, but on 64-bit Windows Firefox use the Flash player in the place SysWOW64 folder.)

    (2) check a file named mms.cfg:

    (A) If mms.cfg exists, drag it in your Documents folder , where you can change it without being bothered on administrator privileges

    (B) If there is no such thing as mms.cfg open your Documents folder, right click > new > text file and the name of the new file mms.cfg

    (3) mms.cfg Documents opened in a text editor such as Notepad. Add this on its own line (I have the latter):

    ProtectedMode=0

Save the file and close Notepad.

    (4) press and hold the Ctrl and the mms.cfg file reglisser to the Flash folder to make a copy, keep the original documents

This change should take effect the next time you restart Firefox.

I hope it's a little lighter than the instructions from Adobe. (??)

  • How do you prevent PDF presets to alter the quality of the image

Experimenting different PDF presets, I noticed with grayscale images in Photoshop, save to PDF using different presets, change image quality, more precisely the contrast.

So, it seems that saving an image in the 'bad' PDF preset could undo a lot of pre-press work. Is there a better way/format?

To get an idea of brute: there is a decrease of 8.7% in the percentage of black between 10% and 50% of the values (the beach) on a corner of the stage between the original in Photoshop and PDF high quality, who showed the same values, and PDF/X-1, which has compressed the range of 4 (about a decline of 8.7%) percentage points.

A visual assessment and idiosyncratic, four versions of the same image (Photoshop in grayscale, High Qualtiy PDF, PDF/X-1a and PDF/X-3), which included a step wedge and the color ramp, would rank the fidelity to the best original, high quality, at worst, PDF/X-1a.

The same image to grayscale in Photoshop CS6 was distilled (file > print > Adobe PDF) to PDF using without changing settings predefined PDF in distiller Acrobat XI.

The screenshot next composit (all four images images on the screen copy screen, rearrange them, and then reduce the image to a 120 dpi to 4.2 "wide (including the text) gives an idea of the differences, but much was lost, it's here.)

    Walton

I can't pretend that it's simple. There was a lot of choices to accommodate the many different requirements of professional pre-press. Same people experienced can fight to get the color corresponding to the work because they know that it should.

The key thing to remember is that in the color management, it is never a profile in question. There are always two (or four, or six...). One, the source profile, described the colors in your document. The other, the destination profile, describes a device. This device could be the screen that you discover on the printer you are printing on, or a device that is simulated.

So, by looking at three PDF files on-screen.

'High quality '. Source: mast 20%. Target: your screen. It's probably closer to the color displayed by Photoshop, which will do something similar.

PDF / X 3. Source: mast 20%. Target: output mode, coated FOGRA27. Then you must convert more using two profiles to see on the screen.

PDF/X-1 a. DeviceGray (no marking). This (by the rules of PDF / X, but not PDF in general) is the gray channel of the output mode, coated FOGRA27. So no converson up here, but it will be converted using two profiles to see on the screen.

Why FOGRA27? Because you him to choose, or in default, in your settings to distill. This is not a good idea, unless you know that it is the correct output for your printing needs device. This information must come from your printer, and you can't do really good PDF / X files without it. If you choose at random, you can expect more and unpredictable color changes.

  • How can you download pro Prime Minister when the icon does not exist in the clouds? [was: pr]

How can you download pro Prime Minister when the iucon doesent exist cloud?

In order to download the software, your computer must meet the system requirements to run the software.

    http://helpx.Adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/system-requirements-Premiere-Pro.html http://www.Adobe.com/products/premiere/tech-specs.html

The usual for not being able to download reason is that Premiere Pro (and other video applications such as After Effects) are 64-bit only what they need for a 64-bit computer and a 64-bit operating system.

If you use a 32-bit computer and operating system, and then you see the icon of Premiere Pro as the software will not work on your computer.

  • How can I make Firefox never use plug-ins without my direct approval? (Take 2)

As my old topic is "archived" and told me to ask a question, I'll do exactly that.

As I asked here https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/957837?esab=a & s = & r = 0 & s = as I need a way to control what does my browser and what is not. Because I treat PC as my property, no not being a sentinent who can do things on his own and tell me what I can or not do with it - like, "you have no right to delete this file" or "it is protected by XYZ".

It comes with Firefox get plugins installed that I don't want and I can't delete them. It is not adware or spyware or malware, I wish not install false programs or cracks, play poker or watch porn movies. It's legit... plugins that I don't always want!

For example, I don't want a Nvidia 3D plugin. I do not if it is safe or not, I don't want Firefox to slow even a millisecond for something I DO NOT want TO EVER USE. Not to mention, I don't have 3D nor will I ever. I'm not as Google Update of Microsoft Office or any other plugin. I need flash and only flash and everything else should never appear in my browser.

I don't want to look constantly after Firefox to check if it has acquired some new plugins for me to turn it off. Because I am not a servant of my PC, am I?

But the main problem is: I can't DELETE plugins! I can't! I can't seem to "never activate" them, but I can not remove. No option is there! Why? Why is there no option to remove a plugin? Why not at least tell me where is the resident plugin so I could wipe it?

When I asked this before, I was told that something is in the work to counter that "later this year". Yes, is there an update? I don't think, because I googled and found nothing of all kinds (and plugins keep popping in my firefox plugins Panel).

At this point, I'm open to any form of hack to deal with. I'm a programmer myself so I can handle a simple background or a custom Launcher firefox.exe application. Is there a place where he explained where the list of plugins is stored, so I could just write a program that erases everything I don't want him every time I run firefox? I can do something to prevent the installation of new plugins, programs or which intercept and delete them? No matter what?

    Thanks in advance!

    Ah. Thanks Philipp!
Thus, in order to post the exact asnwer it here (in case someone else need), information is stored in one of these places:

    • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\MozillaPlugins\plugin-id
    • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\MozillaPlugins\plugin-id
    • HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\MozillaPlugins\plugin-id
    • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Mozilla\Firefox\Extensions
    • HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Mozilla\Firefox\Extensions

I tried to destroy the unwanted plugins (they were found in the first and second entries above) and it worked!

So, all I need now is to write a small program that keeps track of the list of plugins that are allowed and wipe everything at startup of the system (or on request)

PS: I have to mention, it's really crazy that I have to write a program to do something should have the built-in default browser. It makes no sense to go a big effort in preventing users from accidentally install modules ("someone you do not trust") when all executable code can easily and silently install a plugin without knowing user... It is really a huge security hole... And a nuisance as well.

  • How can you make Firefox the default browser when the normal route does not work?

Im trying entirely chrome once a friend showed how my firefox got his act together. However I can't for the life of me set it as default browser. I tried the 'make firefox the default browser' button in firefox, making that opens the windows default programs Panel. Whenever I try to use the Panel she simply sets the Protocol http for every night, which is not yet installed! ( http://puu.sh/2vJHM ) I think that a possible solution would be to change the registry manually, but I don't know where to start.

Thank you for your help, but I managed to fix it by myself. The registry key for the associations of html and URLs of firefox have been corrupted so I scoured their in regedit (at HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\FirefoxHTML and HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\FirefoxURL) and them deleted entirely, then redid them by clicking on the make default firefox button in the options.

  • How do you keep a site at random to open automatically when you add a new tab?

When I click to open a new tab (with plus sign), this Web site automatically opens: http://www.searchqu.com/web?src=derr & appid = 113 & systemid = 406 & q = http %3 A % 2F % 2F and says "search for: Oops! the website you were looking for no could be opened. "I tried the new URL extension with the home page selected and tried other tips related here. None of this does not work. I clean my system with the AVG software and malware. etc etc. also, sometimes I'll be on a website and it switch to this site randomly and keep me to access the right pair. Help!

Hello, can you try setting the browser.newtab.url value to "on: newtab ' even once and then run firefox in safe mode, once (see Troubleshooting extensions, themes and problems of hardware acceleration to troubleshoot common Firefox) and see if the problem is occurring too... ther other users have reported that extensions like toolbars, Datamngr, ilivevid could be the cause of the issue - take a look in firefox > addons > extensions and uninstall them or any other entry suspect where it shows up.

Please also delete any entry in the section of /programmes. control panel windows which refers to searchqu and may also use other security like the free version of malwarebytes software to do a full scan of your system.

I have a Web site; www.designed4submariners.com. on several pages, I created links to images that are found in a download folder. Whenever I click on one of these links on the current site (using Firefox as browser), a dialog box appears to ask: do the Firefox with this file?
