How Flash perc 6i controller integrated in dellR710?
Hi all
I'm wrong, net flashed on board controller perc 6i server Dell R710.
I want to Flash the firmware on it again. I checked the dell website, but there is only the procedure on "how to upgrade". I totally want to flash back, the 4 MB file on the map, where I can get it?
Hi Renon,
According to what is the current state, here are the links to the FW updates. If the FW is completely annihilated, and the map is no longer functional, there is a good chance that you can not solve this problem.
(1) you can try flashing the FW within your operating system by running the file update directly
Integrated firmware PERC6I 6.3.3 - 0002, A00, published on 17/05/2013, recommended, Urgent if yours is less 6.1.1

(2) use the idrac web interface and run remote file update (version .exe for windows) from the update tab.
(3) use any bootable media to start the command prompt and run the version that is not packaged.
Non-packaged/Hard Drive: http://downloads.dell.com/FOLDER01000364M/8/SAS_RAID_PERC6i-int_6.3.3-0002_A00_ZPE.exeextract the non-package files out and run update.bat using provided from the following bootable media.
A common way to do this is to use the following tool to create a USB Bootable flash to in order to get the command prompt.

Help needed with two new HHD to RAID 1 PERC 6 / i integrated controller
We have a client that has an out of warranty PowerEdge T610. On the Dell OpenManage Server Admin, I can see that he can see my 1 RAID PERC 6 / i integrated controller. On one of the controllers, we have a RAID 5 that has 4 discs dedicated to a data store (drive D), we two discs devoted to the Windows SBS 2008 (drive C) operating system on RAID 1.
When we look at the server, I have physical disks located in:
Our drive D data store:
- 0:0:0
- 0:0:1
- 0:0:2
- 0:0:3
Our reader C found in:
- 1:0:4
- 1:0:5
We just added two new hard drives for RAID 1 based on the conversation we had with Dell, they recommended that we can try from C data to the new larger disks. When to Dell Open Manage looking at the physical disks on the PERC 6 controller / i integrated, I can see that it has detected two new 500 GB SATA drives that the client installed. However the tasks available do not allow me nor their format to use as they appear in the management of the computer as a disk that is available for use. Is there something that we are completely absent here?
Regarding the new disks located here:
- 1:0:6
- 1:0:7
My options for available tasks are the following:
- Blink
- Unblink
- Assign Global relief
- Claire...
I already have them deleted once as I didn't know if they should be formatted to be recognized, but in the computer management disk management they don't even appear at all. I thought that I had a task of 'on-line' that I could assign to the readers so maybe they appear to start to use the new storage HHD.
With regard to the current firmware for the controller.
- Firmware version: 6.2.0 - 0013
- Driver version: 2.24.00.64
- The Storport driver version: 6.0.6002.18005
I have attached a PDF file to this post to view details on the disks. Sorry for the fine print, but it's a PDF so you should be able to zoom. Any assistance about why readers as not detected in disk management would be absolutely awesome. :)
-Digity
PERC does not support non RAID... you can just throw the discs and use them. You'll need to set up and initialize a new RAID array with the readers. It is not a task of "physical disk", therefore in OMSA, go to the page of the virtual disks and click the new link Wizard of VD at the top of the page to create a new VD of the BONE.

Unable to update firmware for the PERC 5 controller / i on PE1950
We have 6 PE1950 server with SAS PERC 5 / i integrated RAID controllers. Dell OpenManage complains about being obsolete PERC firmware. 2 servers I currently have running, firmware 5.2.1 - 0062 and 5.1.1 - 0040. I downloaded the latest version of 5.2.2 - 0072. I tried the update by the Windows package and who did not, and he complain about the OS being too recent. A server is Windows Server 2008 R2 and the other Windows Server R2 2012. So, I created a BACK USB key with Dell hard drive files and run update.bat. Who failed on both servers with the following errors:
Firmware doesn't have flash. Stop!
Failed to update Firmware for controller 0
The process of updating of the firmware of the controller does not have!
Both servers had the exact same mistakes as described above. Ideas on how I can get the firmware update successfully? I checked the package I downloaded is for the PERC 5 / I integrated.
It's here (if that will allow me to post a link):

agungdmtIf you want to use the components (EOs, your) in the draft of a model in another project, deploy the first model project in an ADF library JAR file. The second project add the JAR file in the library to be able to reference the components in the first project.
To deploy the first project as an ADF JAR library, select the project--> choose new in the right click menu, select deployment profiles--> ADF library JAR option. Hope this helps -
Portege A100: How Flash keyboard/controller?
Hello
I have a Toshiba Portege A100 (PPA10E-0002N-FR) with a master keyboard frazled.
Guess it should be possible to re - flash, but doubt that someone would worth.
Someone knows how to either make flashed or get a replacement system card?
Thanks for any help that anyone can give.
Hello Nutter
Replacement of the system board is not simply to do without maintenance manuals. The disassembly procedure must be done in the right order. You probably know that this small error can damage something.
Portege A100 is very nice and in my opinion, it would be wrong to destroy something. I recommend you contact technicians.

How many berries is compatible with PERC H730P controller?
The H730P controller supports RAID 10 dies in car 4 x 4?
Hello
sandy98gThe H730P controller supports RAID 10 dies in car 4 x 4?
Yes
The limits on the H730 exceed most of the hardware configurations. The H730 supports up to 64 virtual disks, you could theoretically have 64 x 4 disk RAID 10 s.
There are length of scope and limits of disk to consider as well, but this configuration is not near any limitation of the controller.
Thank you

Warehouses of unstable data using PERC 5 / i integrated controllers ESXi 4 Update 1
Hello
Already had an ESXi 3.5 installation works well and booting from a USB flash drive. My system uses two Dell PERC 5i integrated adapters. Shut down the system and it has restarted on another device USB with ESXi 4 Update 1 (currently without a license). I looked in the HCL and PERC controllers appear to be there. The new version seems to start only are fine but no data in the client stores. So I started experimenting and created a store of data on vmhba1 controller. In the "Adding storage" Wizard, I did this: chose disk/LUN - & gt; Highlight vmhba1 - & gt; the next screen says disc is empty if it was not when used under ESXi3.5 - & gt; Enter the name 'slow-drive' - & gt; has chosen the smaller block size setting "256 GB, block size: 1 MB '-& gt; Click Finish. The system seems to create the data store. But when I start to browse the data store and copy a file to it, she starts and seems to copy then produced an IO error. If I reboot, the storage diappears.
I've seen references to the use of some utils esxcfg-volume and fdisk-l to persistent editing shells. But this I/O question seems strange.
Are the Perc 5 / integrated i indeed took in charge the controllers?
Do I have to use a certain version of BIOS for controllers (I have them update code recent BIOS that worked with ESXi 3.5)?
All ideas are welcome.
Thank you
Battery backed cache write - a DIMM ECC Registered (up to 512 MB) on the controller and a rechargeable lithium ion battery pack connected to it.
Please give points for any helpful answer.

I have a perc 5 / i in a poweredge server configured for raid 5. I removed the original diskettes in the table and replaced with expenses records. now I want to put the original disk in the array, but I also expected to keep data that spans the original diskettes. is this possible? When I put the original back disks at will, I need to import the configuration of foreign to them? When I removed the original diskettes, I have numbered them so I don't know what position they should be in if it's important.
What are the steps to achieve this? If it is possible.
Thank you
scottmikI removed the original diskettes in the table and replaced with expenses records. now I want to put the original disk in the array, but I also expected to keep data that spans the original diskettes. is this possible?Yes, it can be done, and your original data should be available as the hard drive still have the meta-data related to the original Purpose of the controller.
scottmikWhen I put the original back disks at will, I need to import the configuration of foreign to them? When I removed the original diskettes, I have numbered them so I don't know what position they should be in if it's important. If a similar VD is configured with new hard drives, Yes; Once re-installed, the old hard disks will appear in a foreign configuration because they have no connection with the new VD. In this case, you need to import the configuration. Because the PERC 5 / I controller supports drive roaming where you can move the hard drives in different slots, you don't have to worry about disk numbering. Disks have meta-data associated with the original VD. All you have to do is to put the original hard drives to the given slots and then proceed to import the foreign configuration.
I would like to know how it works.

Hi - I have a T7500 with a C drive RAID1 array (composed of two drives of 2 TB Hitachi sister) working set in a RAID1 (made with the integrated SATA controller) configuration and I would move intact to another identical T7500. I tried with another set of disks on another computer Dell Precision game last year and jumped in thinking it was simple from the manual; but, I was wrong, I was forced to break the game and copy one of the disks for a configuration already, Virgin RAID1 set.
Manual is not so clear. Does anyone know how to do this? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Satellite L300 - how to install Ethernet controller?
Hi all
The other day I was cleaning up my computer (just uninstall unused and games programs and other things) and I accidentally uninstalled my ethernet controller.
I restarted my computer and it came with a box saying install ethernet controller. So I click on this button and it said to put in the disc that came with the computer, but I do not have a disk, and so I clicked on another option that says "use another option to install this" so I clicked it, but then he said you must be connected to the internet. which is all just stupid because I can't connect because no ethernet controller not... So! My question is: what can I do to install it again, or whatever. I'm not that smart computer, as I don't know anything about any electronics inside the screen or something, I'm on of those people who knows how to change the wallpaper and installing a game, but that's all.
Can I get a disk to the message box says to Toshiba? or perhaps a local store like Ricahrd Smith (Actaully his Di * ck smith, he said I can't have the complete word apparently his rough. haha) or something?
Please help me. I am writing from an Internet café and I really don't like this part of town... lol. I'd rather be in the comfort of my own home and being on the internet there.
Thanks for any help you can provide.
Hello!
To me it sounds like that, you have also uninstalled the driver of Ethernet controller and so after reboot, the message appears that you will install the Ethernet controller.
However, you can download all the drivers for your laptop on the Toshiba site:
http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com-online decision-making supported Downloads & => Download driversMaybe you can download the driver in the internet cafe or a friend who has the internet connection.
More the laptop is not delivered with a recovery disk because you have to create this disc by yourself. If you start the Toshiba recovery disc creator you can create the recovery disk that contains an image of the factory settings. You can boot from that disk but it erase your entire HARD drive so always backup the files on the HARD disk before using it. It of pretty easy to use and only takes a few minutes.
If you would like more information on the recovery disk, please consult your user manual!Good bye
