    Hello

Let me see if I can sort this out.

You have a network named "Homegroup".

You have several working groups set in place, and you want to remove a computer from one of them?

If Yes, go to this computer, log in as administrator

Click Start > right click on my computer > select Properties

    Click the button change

Delete the name of your workgroup of the lower part of the window and in its place type 'WORKING group' which is the default setting.

    I hope this helps!

can I used pc deskjet as pc home network

In the future, if it please read this post and then provide details.  What printer model? What operating systems? Have you implemented an existing network?

In what follows I'll assume that you have the Deskjet 1000 j110a and you currently have a home network set in place.  I'll assume that the computer is connected to an XP machine and you have configured and enabled for sharing. (Search for 'Printer Sharing', in respect of assistance on XP to see how to proceed if it is not installed).  Suppose to not the XP machine has a network name of ComputerName and the printer is shared as printername.  In the following discussion, change the names to match your computer and printer share names.

Now, on the other machine to install printer drivers, as if the printer is connected directly.  When it gets to the part asking you to connect the printer say you'll do it later.  (For the following that I will assume, the second computer is Windows 7.) On the Windows 7 computer, go devices and printers folder, add a printer, the local printer, creating a Port, Local Port, \\Computername\Printername (use the name of the actual share of the computer and the printer), OK, and then click Windows Update and then select Hewlett-Packard for the manufacturer then the Deskjet 1000 j110a for the printer.

  • Can I use 2 routers on my home network?

Can I use 2 routers on my home network? I have a modem/router combo Xfinity but my Airport extreme must be a router that is better than what came with the Xfinity plan. I was told you can use 2 routers for various computers (iPhone, iPad, iMac, etc) and choose the one that gives the best range and result.

Do you use a separator line and then to the cable connection? Or would I connect the Airport Extreme in the router/modem by an Ethernet cable Xfinity? In any case, what has worked for you, assistants out there?

    JIM

Do not use 2 routers, they will conflict (without careful configuration) and even when they are not there is nothing to be gained by.

  • Mac OSX 10.8.4 can't see 5 GHz Linksys EA6500 wireless network

    Hello

We have an EA6500 of Linksys router work of office. I found that Macs can't see 5 GHz network quite often but can almost always see the 2.4 Ghz network. If I restart the Mac then it can sometimes see the 5 GHz network but it's far from being reliable in trying to connect.

Once all connected works correctly, it's just the operating system to display a list of network. If I same boot Mac in Windows 8 he can see the 5 GHz Wireless reliable every time.

The office is in a shared office space, and there are many visible wireless in the room, about 12 now.

I have the latest firmware of the router Linksys EA6500 (1.1.28.147876) and all software updates on Mac OSX. I fiddled with the network of automotive channels, to the setting of specific channels that seemed empty when I used a phone Android to see how busy they were.

Has anyone seen or had any sort of resolution?

When I get home, I have the same router and my Mac connect reliably, 100% of the time on the 5 GHz network.

Well, I got to the low fo this. My steps, in case someone knocks something similar were:

    1. start of Fedora Core 19 Linux on my Macbook Air

2 tries to connect to various networks near me, even if I didn't have the key

    3. notes that dmesg responded with 'country setting code' and then run dmesg and grep'd for the game of country codes

    4. after hitting one of the wireless networks, I noticed he would lie TW country code

    5. wireless network was not protected and so that a scan of the network, when her and found some web interfaces

    6. connected to the interface web and found it was a VCR Panasonic connect you

    7. once I had the wireless network manager I walked around the building with my iPhone looking force wireless looking where he was stronger.

    8. since I found that the reception office was where he was

    9. the person at the front desk denied that they had any router or wireless, it

    10. they opened a closet that had, a TV Panasonic inside recorder!

11 identified the router right next to him.

12A obtained in the region of router has changed for US

Mac connect now to 5 Ghz EA6500 reliable, every time.

I have a home network windows already defined with two desktop with Windows XP and a laptop with Windows 2000. The computers are connected to a router with ethernet cables and the lap top wireless (WiFi) to the same router. Now, I'm trying to connect a fourth computer (a desk top) with Windows Vista. It works fine to connect to Internet, but I can't reach the other computers on the network. On other computers, I can see a 'new', but I don't see the others of a "new". Can someone help me with the configuration of the computer "Vista"?  Thanks in advance.  / Thomas

    Hello

To home network computers running different versions of Windows, we need to make sure that what follows.
    a. ensure that all computers are in the same workgroup.
    (b) the value of the private network location type.
    c. open ports in your firewall to allow file and printer sharing.
d. turn on additional file and printer sharing options.
    e. consider using password protected sharing.
    5 using the network card.

The NIC in the network and sharing Center is a graphical view of the computers and devices on your network, showing how they are connected and including problem areas. A computer running Windows XP can be detected and appear on the network map, you may need to install the Protocol Link-Layer Topology Discovery (LLTD) on this computer.

To install LLTD, visit the following link and download: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/922120

  • Machines Vista cannot see the rest of the home network

I don't know what's happened recently, but here's the thing.

I have a home network, 1 Vista desktop, 1 Office XP with shared USB attached, 1 drive NAS (running Linux kernel I think). All devices set to the same workgroup 'HOUSE '. Until recently, I could see all the devices in the Vista machine with the selection of 'network' of the Explorer.

Now I see that me, the wireless router, and if I turn it on, an another Vista laptop. The Vista laptop has the same situation - he sees only the vista desktop and router and anything else3.

I can connect to the XP computer manually by entering \\computer_name\external_drive_name and even with the NAS drive. I can't see the with the Vista Explorer.

I can't say exactly when it happened, but is has been in the last month. I see the console of restoration that there is an update Tuesday 4/11, but if I try to restore before this date of restoration fails.

Discovery network, file sharing, etc., are always turned on. I tried to do a complete reset of the router but nothing helped.

FYI - Norton of 365 security card option fortunately shows everything on the network, so I know that all devices are in the same workgroup.

Any advice would be greatly welcome.

I solved the problem with advice from another forum. I forced the desktop computer to become the master browser by setting 'MaintainServerList' in the registry for the 'yes' rather than 'auto '.

I can now see all the connected devices.

  • How can I see what devices are files on network sharing domestic?

I have a ps3 & Xbox which can share files stored on my pc but I can't seem to find what/how you would you find... ? I am a novice, so go easy on me!  :-/

    Hi Adybboy,

    Follow these steps:

  • I can see PC 'A' on a home network wireless secure PC 'B' but unable to connect; path error

On PC 'A' I see 'B' PC and connect normally.

PC 'A' is under Vista Home Premium; 'B' PC is running Vista Home Premium 64.
Both systems have all the Windows updates current.

This problem occurred after a repair and a reinstall of the OS/OEM on PC 'B' disc image  I have studied many guides of troubleshooting and everything seems to be in order.  Name of the Working Group, sharing files, exploration of the network, etc. are all correctly.  Shared folder names and computer names follow rules.

I tried with, on and outside of the firewall.   I also tried to disable the anti-virus protection on both computers.

The PC normally inaccessible 'B' appear in the router admin utilities.  No, there is an IP address conflict.  The drivers for my PC 'B' wireless card and the router is up-to-date.
I tried to reboot the computers and the router and the modem without effect.
I also tried remove the 'B' network and setting up again from scratch.
Wireless signal is very strong, and I have no problem with internet on two PCs.

I get the error message is so common that it is very difficult to sort through research on the internet; almost all subjects deal with the problem between different OS.  Here is the error message.
"Check the spelling of the name. Otherwise, there could be a problem with your network. To identify problems with your network, click on diagnose.
More > error Code 0 x 0070035 the network path was not found. »

I have exactly the same problem with a 'C' also running Vista home Premium netbook.  'B' is displayed in the network, but are not accessible.
Here's something that might be a clue: in the network, the computer 'B' is empty in the column: "network location".
Is someone can you please help me understand this?

    Hello

    1. you are running Norton 360 on your computer?

If so, I suggest to turn off the Norton firewall or configure it to allow other computers to connect.

Also I suggest you to check the following services and ensure that they are enabled:

Client DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol).

    b. (Domain Name System) DNS Client.

    c. Server,

    d. support TCP/IP Netbios (Transmission Control Protocol).

PING each computer by its Internet Protocol (IP) address, and if successful, PING by name. You can get the IP address of a computer by opening a command prompt (DOS window) and type IPCONFIG, follow these steps:

    a. click "start".

    b. on the box, type "cmd".

    c. on "cmd", press enter

    d. window will appear, there type "IPCONFIG".

    I hope this helps.
