How know if the last backup was successful

The backup and Restore Center to see if the last backup was successful or not? I use the NAS drive for backups, which is not always on. However the backup utility Windows 7 does not show at all. It shows just the time of last and next backup schedule.

Jani

Hello

Whenever a backup is validated, you will receive a message indicating that the backup was successful. You can also see the backup connects to the following location:
C:\Windows\Logs\WindowsBackup.

Hope this information was useful.

    (a) did you get an error with this error code?

  • BlackBerry Smartphones how know what the last OS 6 for BlackBerry?

I recently came across the sticky that speaks of all downloads of OS for BB pearls. I have a 9100 version, and I want to install the OS 6 on it.

1 does it matter which firmware I download? For the 9100 and 9105 versions?

2 - How can I know what is the latest firmware?

    Something like that...

    BlackBerry Handheld Software v5.0.0.1476 (Multilangauge)

    Package Version: 5.0.0.1476
    Composed of:

    • Applications: 5.0.0.884
    • Software platform: 6.2.0.94
    • File name: 9100_9105itutM_PBr5.0.0_rel1476_PL6.2.0.94_A5.0.0.884_O2_IRE.exe
    • File size: 132,72 MB

    Or...

    BlackBerry Handheld Software v6.0.0.1479 (Multilangauge)

    Package Version: 6.0.0.1479
    Composed of:

    • Applications: 6.0.0.380
    • Software platform: 6.6.0.85
    • File name: 9100_9105Asia_PBr6.0.0_rel1479_PL6.6.0.85_A6.0.0.380_Aircel.exe
    • File size: 146,72 MB

This who should I look for the version of the firmware? Applications or software platform?

In this case, wouldn't be 5.0.0.884 Applications and software platform 6.2.0.94 which gives me an OS 6 or a 6.00.380 Applications and software platform 6.6.0.85?

    3. what indicates a newer version of the OS 6?

What should I look at to make sure I have the latest version of the OS 6? A superior package Version, Version Applications or software platform?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello

as noted in the post post-it notes, each firmware for Pearl 3 G works identically for 9100 and 9105. This is the line that says:

«The installer of the OS is the same for the 9100 and the 9105.»

usually, the three figures are growing at the same pace. Between the two versions, by comparing the version of the firmware, the version of the application or software platform is the same at 99% of the time.

But on the blogosphere, everybody talking about the version of the Application. This is the reason why it is colored in Green in the post post-it notes.

  • How knowledge/check if the RMAN backup was performed using a current control file or database catalog?

    Hello

How knowledge/check if the RMAN backup was performed using a current control file or database catalog? I mean RMAN prompt or sqlplus is it possible to know.

    Thank you

    You're welcome my friend

You can see them using two methods.

as I mentioned above, you can see them connect to the catalog database and you can query using the view that I sent

    http://docs.Oracle.com/CD/E11882_01/backup.112/e10642/rcmreprt.htm#BRADV89601

the other method is the list command, you must use the list command after connecting using rman "rman target / catalog cat_user/cat_pass@catdbtns" command

    http://docs.Oracle.com/CD/E11882_01/backup.112/e10642/rcmreprt.htm#BRADV8136

Check the value of the control_file_record_keep_time parameter. The default value is 7 days. in the output of the list command, if you can see the old backups to the value, you must be sure that the backup information comes from the catalogue database

    SELECT * FROM parameter $ v where name = 'control_file_record_keep_time '.

    an example of command list

the list of completed database before backup ' sysdate-10'.

  • I have that one saved backup system, is there a reason to keep additional files prior to the last backup of system? I can remove them systematically?

I run the Windows Image backup to a hard drive external on a weekly schedule. The result shows on the hard drive as "WindowsImageBackup\(User name)-PC\Backup (date) (number)"-currently about 80 GB (binary).

I reserve about 135 GB of available space for backups of the system, so I save only the last backup of the system.

So far, I have no problem with that.

However, the disk hard, there is another folder '(USER NAME)-PC' & under which is a folder "backup of files (date) (number)" for each time that the backup system runs.

These files vary considerably in size - for example, 1 GB, 12 GB, 22 GB. They delete or replace automatically - just, they accumulate.

What I want to know is ~.

What is the purpose\importance of these additional files?

Since I only have a single saved backup, is there a reason to keep additional files prior to the last backup of system? I can remove them systematically?

    Original title: Windows Image backup

    Hello

    Thanks for the reply.

File '(Computer name)-PC "contains the files necessary for the Windows. Data files saved in libraries, on the desktop, and if the Windows folders for all people with a user account on the computer are also recorded.

[The default Windows folders include AppData, Contacts, desktop, downloads, Favorites, links, saved parties and searches.]

The size of these files increases, because the content of the folders mentioned above increases.

For more information, see the article mentioned below:

  • I know where the last call from my iphone stolen?

I know where the last call from my iphone stolen?

Not anyone here, not Apple. You can check with your operator if they used your SIM card, and you may have to get the police involved for the information about the location. If it was not your SIM card, you would not be able to.

  • Time Machine does not register the last backups

In Time Machine preferences, it signals that the last backup is June 2, but when I go to Time Machine I don't see what

which seems to be backups in recent days.  How do both to sync to declare the same data?

    • Assuming that your profile information is correct, OS X update to the latest version: How can I update to OS X and Mac apps - Apple Support.
    • If you do not already done, simply connect / again or restart your Mac.
    • If you back up the contents of the source that lies in the external devices, make sure they are all operational, mounted and available.
    • If the last time information and the date are still incorrect, continue with the steps below.
    1. Confirm that a backup is not already underway. Then, scroll down to 'Add or remove backup disk... '. "and select it. Choose 'Data' and then delete.
      • If everything works as it should, this will not affect your existing backup history. However, if you have done this until now it is not working as it should, and in an abundance of caution you should consider creating an additional, redundant backup first. If you work with the data that you just can't live without, that a backup is not enough in any case, even if everything works perfectly.
    2. Then select the drive again, connect you and choose 'Back Up Now' in the Time Machine menu bar icon.
      • If you have added previously any exclusion of the element (under the 'Options... button "), you will need to add.
    3. Time Machine will take a lot of time while it makes a 'deep event' scan to determine which files need to be backed up. Meanwhile "preparing backup...". ' appears in Time Machine preferences.
    4. When the "scan deep event" is over, Time Machine will perform a normal incremental backup, which will have the usual amount of time.

That should correct the erroneous information.
