How many points/fingers on the touch screen of Thinkpad T410S?

Hello

I know that the Thinkpad T410s can have a touch screen. I would like to know:

(1) can you confirm that it is a N-Trig touchscreen?

(2) can you tell me if it is a multitouch or a multipoint touch screen, and how many points/fingers are supported? I would like to have a technology 4 fingers; Lenovo web site, I read that it's a new technology. So if I have a T410s in January or February 2011, will be I that technology 4 fingers on my touchscreen?

Thank you very much

Victor

(1) Yes, N-Trig.

(2) Yes, 4 fingers :-)

    Hello

Have you found a way to do it?
I think that it of not possible to disable the touch screen.
Found no information in the user manual. Maybe you can check the BIOS settings available. Switch on and press F2 to enter the BIOS.
But to be honest, I doubt that a power option would be available there.

    @scoop58

Welcome to the Forums of HP,
    I hope you're well

I understand that the touch screen no longer works after upgrade to windows 10,
don't worry, however, as I have a few steps that should solve your problem:

To activate the touch screen driver in Device Manager:

    1. In Windows, locate and open the Device Manager.
    2. Expand the Human Interface Devices section.
    3. The touchscreen device is labeled HID-compliant screen touch, or similar. Right click on the touch screen device.
    4. If the option to activate the device is included in the menu, click Activate.

    Keep me posted,

    Kind regards

How can I control the speed of the pointer mouse on the login screen?

I put the speed of the pointer in a way at once two users accounts.

I think that when I go to the login screen by using change user, the speed of the mouse pointer is the same as the user configured the pointer speed.  (I suspect it's the speed of the pointer to the user account that I'm spending.)  TO BE DETERMINED.  "But it doesn't matter, because they are the same).

However, when I go to login screen using Log Off, the mouse whips autour at a very fast speed - much faster that the speed of the pointer set up users.

[EDIT] It is also the speed of the mouse when you go to the login screen after you start the computer.

It is disconcerting to the 87-year-old who uses the computer.  (Read: barely in computer science.)

FYI, I don't have not noticed this until I went from a wired mouse to Dell for a Logitech wireless mouse.  (I have turned to bike computer.)

Also, users configured users pointer speed is the 2nd from left to right, with improved set the pointer precision.

  • How to organize the order of the icons on the touch screen of the printer? (Office Jet Pro 8600)

I use the touch screen only to scan documents. It's annoying to scroll through a series of unused icons to achieve the scan icon whenever I turn. How to reorder the icons so that the "Scan" icon is on the main home screen (on an iPhone that would be just pressed until it's mobile, but it does not work here).

You can customize the selection and order of the icons in the Apps folder, but I can't figure out how to move the other icons. Come on HP, your intuitive user interface needs some attention

    Thank you!

There is no option to rearrange the icons of an Officejet Pro 8600. Icons available is determined by the firmware of the printer and is immutable.
