  Both the last 6.16. 64.105 and 6.18. 64.105 (versions with modified chat window interface) are still show the timestamp but only when the chat window is wide enough.

  There is an easy solution for this. Locate the Skype settings (my info > settings) then turn off built-in calls.

• Skype does not allow me to send messages to a discussion group

  I am at a loss here, there is no explanation as to why this should be the case.

  Whenever I have send a message using my computer, in a newsgroup, each message is considered "not recovered". I see people typing, but my messages don't want out.

  Now, here are the best, I have reinstalled Skype, tried different versions, disabled my firewall, this isn't a network issue, can I send messages to Skype to other people. In my own home, people are not having the same problem with the same group. I can even send messages to the group using my phone with the same account.

  I also tried logging into another account and typing in the same group and still nothing.

  The problem started out of the air, I was not change settings, I was just typing in the chat and it began seconds after my last post.

  Looks like it was isolated to my user settings, remove the Skype settings in %AppData%, it fixed.

  I'm more perplexed as to how Skype itself spontaneously broken after sending a message.

  So I woke up to this 'amazing' update this morning, as you can imagine, and I came was terrible piece of sh - it now gives us the word Skype. I understand using foul language does not help my point at all, but it is literally so bad, I can't find another way to describe it.

  This problem arises in several areas such as the new text format. This idea of areas of large blue text on each side of the screen and the other with an image and the other is not the idea of "big" news they had is HORRIBLE. It is not straight forward and clear if I want to see what someone has typed I want to see their name next to it, and I don't want to feel like anything I typed forced through one side of the screen as what I say must be next to what they say. It FEELS just wrong, this isn't a texting program.

  Apart from that, the lists are now almost indistinguishable outside space on that Skype has felt that it was necessary to add their status as an ORB very small beside their huge image that could easily mix in the thing being there makes it more difficult to tell if someones AFK or something else I get that one can easily enough take if we look with more effort, but I want to be able to tell immediately.

  Apart from this now when you post faces by themselves they are quite unnecessarily huge. There is no need for a smiling to be that huge, this update on the whole makes me want to stop using Skype, Oovoo despite its problems certainly seems to be a better program to start to use this horrible update given, I am nothing else but appauled.

  I understand more accessible for users of Android or whatever they use, but why should he PC users have to suffer the same provision of decisions? Why can they make different versions for both systems? This must be a fix or it should be completely deleted. Majority of the friends I also agree with me that this is unacceptable, what are the numbers of about six people, who were the only ones I asked so far. The rest of the community, I want to see what you have to say.

  Lets hope if enough of us hate it they will change it to something that was in fact functionally useful rather than some galvanized android cr - ap.

  Add on once again, I had two other friends come to me for talking about issues of functionality across how Skype behaves. So this update is not only ugly, but it's glitchy and broken. Great job guys, I want to say that our pie was good before. Then you threw sh - it tarts everywhere. Really appreciate it; I can barely stand to keep Skype upward due to the system of ugly text on it now, it's infuriating legitimately.

  Why have they changed the layout? It was perfect before. Now, it's awful!

• Still signed in even though closed Skype is closed and completely disconnected

  Hey I seem to have a problem for months, I don't know if it of a known issue or not, but some friends have that mine have told me that I'm still registered on Skype, even though I have disconnect manually. Sometimes I'm quite 'Skype' and the program quits or I will 'disconnect' and then 'leave Skype"if Skype isn't running. Skype never also told me who signed, I also noticed that some of my contacts are signed and I'll call or their cat... or text them asking if their signed on which we will say no.

  I'm updated to Skype 6.21.0.104 (it would be annoying to go 'invisible' every time using Skype and useless)

  Recently, I bought the Talk-7291 to use functionality of Skype.

  The first time I plugged the camera, it seemed that everything worked very well, since I've decided to make my first call. Then the screen turned black and the camera has been disabled (led blue light was turned off).
  The TV does not answer, the only button I could use was the power button.

  Since then, whenever I started Skype app TV turned to black.
  I tried to reset the TV and the result is always the same.

  -J' found a way to use once, and had to set up Skype without the camera and Skype starts when the TV turns on.
  -Turn off the TV and plug in the camera.
  -Turn on the TV. After a minute or two the camera goes on (led lights) and the session is started.
  -I can receive calls but I can not send. I was able to answer one and talk. Now I can answer, but after 3 s the Skype TV breaks down.

  Has anyone else bought the Talk-7291 and tested how Skype works?

  Firmware: I have the latest firmware installed (7.0.28.16.1)

  I have the same problem with a RL938G with FW to. 7.0.28.16.1 and camera TALK-7291.
  Skype does not even TV set is blocked after the TV is black.

  It seems that it is a generic question. We will wait for the manufacturer to solve this problem with a FW update

  Skype works very well to individual virtual machines.

  We needed to implement a small pool view 4.5 Desktop that had Skype installed.

  Suppose we have 2 x VMs in the Desktop view pool, A & B.

  If run us Skype on A, we can make Skype calls etc no problem.

  But if launch us Skype on B, then Skype doesn't this VM.

  If we start Skype on B first, then that's the one that works and will not.

  I guess it's something to do with how Skype recognizes devices and I guess it's to think it comes from the same device.

  Probably because of the source of these images.

  Someone at - he really tried this or have an answer as to what is happening?

  Is it a linked cloning pool?  If so, you can try to use sysprep instead of fast and see if Skype recognizes each workstation correctly.

  I am transferring files between 2 PCs on Win7 64 bit and latest Skype (update), full bandwidth of 1.5 Mbps downloading (and I am sure is that Skype to use 100%!) and one day calculated for the transfer of 250 MB! It goes like a turtle! What the hell Skype is the download otherwise files?

  Transfer of cloud of image files is not yet implemented on Office of Skype for Windows. File transfer is always P2P.

  I'm just warned me that Skype was trying to charge my card credit card $25 for the credits that I did not stop. I'm happy when I have to credit, I used a temporary card number which was only good for 2 months and fortunately has expired.

  Well I just got an email asking me to click on a response as an acceptable answer, canned but I can't because it's good and it's bad.

  Credit account was not compromised. It is a number that I had used to buy credits and had expired. I interpreted this as a billing mixup because some how Skype has me billing for something that I had not bought. He had absolutely nothing to do with stolen credit card numbers. So the first part of the answer is incorrect.

  However, the second part on the password change was good advice because that which is was actually happened was someone got my password and was able to access my account. I discovered this the next week if you use $5.49 of my Skype credit massive to subscribe to the Russia. If I had recognized that it was not a billing error and something more serious, or if I followed the advice to change my password I would have been fine.

  Therefore, the real answer. It wasn't a billing mixup, it was that my account had been hacked.

• Snap-in Acrobat Connect Pro software component crashing with screen-share

  Hi all

  I was wondering if anyone would be able to help me with a problem I have with my Adobe Connect Add-In.

  I have a relatively old macbook with Mac OS x version installed 10.6.8, along with version 9 of Adobe Connect Add-in. It seemed to install correctly and meetings work very well. Everything goes well until I try to screen-sharing, time whereby it crashes regularly, giving me a box that tells me that the application has stop working. I even tried to uninstall and reinstall with the same result.
  Is it because I have an older OS? Has anyone else had this problem with only the screen sharing? Also, is there anywhere I can test my screen sharing capabilities except when I'm in a meeting, similar to how Skype has a contact, you can call to test your connection?

  If you could help point me in the right direction with this question, I would be very grateful. Please let me know if there is additional information, that I do not forget to share!

You can share your screen, even if you are the only participant in the meeting with the host or the presenter level permissions and check the features with the function that allows to the Adobe Acrobat Connect Pro for screen sharing.
