How Smartphones blackBerry App World research work?

I realized that the only way to appear in the results of the research is with words app name.

It does not matter what is your description or a brief description, words on behalf of the application are taken into account.

This means that you can not name your app with only a 'name' as it will not be shown by search terms.

It's ugly! I have apps that must be found by keywords and I can't put them not all in the name.

It would be very useful to have a field of keywords on the application settings.

Your results are correct, that the search only currently works on the title of the app.

I was talking to one of the AppWorld reps to BlackBerry 10 Jam on this subject and AppWorld similar questions.

for example, I was looking to download ' MorphWiz -play' but I don't remember that the app name contained the word 'play' so I looked on this... several hundred applications related Nations United came because many apps themselves labeled as "something for BlackBerry playbook.

As BlackBerry 10 will work many of the apps currently in AppWorld for the PlayBook... the additional 'suffix' in 'for the BlackBerry PlayBook"will become misleading and innaccurate.  The representative stated that there are several changes coming to this address... as well as research in general.

Read between the lines, I understand that current research on the title was only due to many developers using "keyword stuffing" in their descriptions of the app, which once again made useless search results.

As to what the "next" search strategy is exactly... I don't know... but I like it to be something like:

  1. Strip the suffix on all applications that are ' "something for BlackBerry PlayBook"»
  2. Change the search to face both the app title and description
  3. Weigh the results such as the matches in the title are higher than these games in the description
  4. As is currently... matches for applications with both 'A' AND 'Keyword B' weigh more than results that match on 'keyword to' GOLD "keyword B"... it is important that it is not lost when you enable research descriptions

At the same time, it would be nice to try to manage the keyword stuffing issue as well... I don't know if this should be done when approving the app (for example to remove obvious joke) or descriptions on the motion of the AppWorld... where descriptions stuffed with low-grade keywords... for example stop game/abuse of the system.

    Just found the solution and it works...

    BlackBerry App World has been updated 4.0.0.63 on a BlackBerry 6 smartphone with BlackBerry Device Software more.

    On BlackBerry OS versions prior to 6.0.0.706 and the AppWorld icon is not visible, please download and install the BlackBerry AppWorld 4.0.0.55.

    If you encounter a problem with the version of BlackBerry World, then download BlackBerry World version 4.0.0.55 which is the best solution now available for BlackBerry World, first uninstall any existing version of the BlackBerry World from your device, options > device > application > locate and remove BlackBerry World, then do a battery pull reboot by removing the battery while your unit is powered.

    Found a solution! Laughing out loud! How delayed. I changed my email in bb code. For example, after changing from one gmail to another account, I changed it back and baaammmm! Problem solved, but do not know why it should be a problem in the first place right?

    2. make sure that you connect to AppWorld on a WiFi connection. It has worked for some.

    On the BlackBerry OS6 and 7, go to Options > device, down advanced system settings. Go to TCP IP. Select the first box and next to the AFN of type 'Internet '. Your BlackBerry ID will be downloaded. It will ask you to reboot your device, do, and if you then it in your App World > MyWorld, it invites you to a blue screen, where you need to connect.

    Hello. When I go to BlackBerry App World > My World, I get the message "You have all the apps from App World installed." It certainly isn't true that I downloaded and installed a lot of apps in App World, including free RIM applications.

    2. look in EVERY folder on your device... Applications, instant messaging, downloads, etc.

    If you still don't see it:

    1. do... go into Options > device > Applications, search AppWorld on your list and IF it is, delete it.
    2. Perform a simple reboot on the BlackBerry this way: with smart BlackBerry poweredphone, remove the battery for a minute and then reinsert the battery to restart.
    3. Now, use your browser to go to the www.blackberry.com/appworld and download/install AppWorld again.

    I did a software upgrade a few days ago, then I did a restore, because I lost all my App I had downloaded. After I did the restore, I started to download every App, when I was told that I can go the Blackberry App world on my desktop and reinstall them faster then one by one. Before that I was downloading one by one.

    Now that I did, I can see the icons on my BB but when I go to my world App on my phone, some of the same application are evidence of uninstall, when I have them install. Please help solve this problem.

    My phone was working fine without problem until I did the update of the operating system software. I hope that we can have this correction at your earliest.

    Guys, I'm having a serious problem with my app world. I want to download some applications and wen I try it says "my blackberry I had need of an update" I select Yes and it freezes, I recharge my camera and start the moment process again and it brings up the same message and wen I select none, it does the same thing.     Gotcha: when you say reboot, does mean that you tried a battery pull?  If you have a WiFi connection available, try using this connection then the open app world.  You can also try reinstalling http://us.blackberry.com/apps-software/appworld/download.jsp AW
