  Same as you access other customers ebiz.

  Add entries in the same winxp(vmware client) host file that u did on the ping server and check for ebiz ebiz Server works very well with the hostname and hostname.domainname.com

  If the ping does not work then you need to fill the adapter from winxp to vmware for the physical NIC of ebiz machine.check below link to fill

• Cant Open Oracle Applications 11i forms after the last installation of JRE

  We're currently on Oracle Apps 11.5.10.2. I had to install the latest JRE 1.6 Update23 to work on BI Publisher templates and now I can't open all the Oracle e-Business Suite under Forms. It just breaks down-IE, has no message on JInitiator Console either. Same problem with the Mozilla Firefox browser.
  
  FYI... I have a colleague who is able to work on both... BI Publisher model Mgr and Oracle Forms end last installed JRE... So don't think it's a server problem, it's just my client configuration. Any help is appreciated.

  I have access to (application) front-end and back-end Oracle E-Business Suite my business (* 11i *) instance of demo. Please help me decide the correct version of software necessary Client on my desktop the following:
  
  1. oracle 11 g client
  2. form of oracle 11 g
  3 oracle 11 g of the reports
  
  OR
  
  1 oracle Client 10 g
  2 oracle Developer Suite 10 g
  
  
  Any other suggestions/comments are welcome

  If you have access to the database server, you don't need a client. If you do not have access to the database server, you need a client (10g or 11g) to access the database remotely to your machine.

  Oracle Applications 11i uses 6i forms/States. 10g / 11g are not considered supported or compatible with 11i.

  R12 uses the 10g version of forms/States

  now my question is I want to have an optimization of performance for Oracle applications environment, can you please suggest some key points for leave and some good links for future use.
  
  Another thing is I used the command find on my linux machine and found several log files that are greater than 1000K on level (forms, reports, web) and similiarly db level (db/admin/simultaneous) apps.
  
  can I just remove all of these log files using the operating system command (rm) and is it feasible with the production environment on the mode of operation or is it not possible and I should use some other ways, etc.

  I read in the attribute using #WFM_CC and multiple attachments and multiple CC recipients that Oracle Workflow allows you to CC and BCC. I had our DBA check the version of our forum, and it seems that we already have the version of the Oracle Applications 11i technology. ATG_PF. H.Delta.5 (ORS 5) applied.
  
  However, I still have problems using the CC feature. I have added internal Message attribute name #WFM_CC type = Text and Source = send. Also placed 240 for the length. For testing purposes, I put default type constant and coded hard my e-mail address in the value field. When I run the workflow and activities in workflow and go to the activity and click on the detail page of the Notification icon to verify the message, it does not show the Cc field. Only the From, To, envoys and Id are available. Does show here if there is a value of Cc? Currently we have our Notification Mailer of off since it is only an instance of development is the only way I can test it.

  You can not see the value of the CC field that you set for the message attribute in the page of detail of Notification of list tasks as the CC field is valid only for e-mail. You must configure Workflow Mailer to receive notification by email and check if the correct CC has been has been set.

  Hi Hassan,.

  Is there a way to determine which application is locked this port that I tried again with a different port number and always the same result
  I don't have any other application or OracleAS application server running on the machine that supposedly can block a port.

  Do you have any product Oracle installed on the same computer? Please see the referenced above.

  You can try with a different port pool (i.e. 1 instead of 0) and see if you get the same error or not.

  In addition, see utility Portmon which can be downloaded from http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb896644 for a list of ports that are used on the same machine.

• Oracle Applications 11i: exit Station Manager is broken

  Hi Experts,

  I was working on Oracle application 11i cloning lately and after having completed the clone, my conc. exit Station Manager (PPO) isn't coming in the target system.

  I tried to solve the problem by running 'cmclean.sql' and ran thn autoconfig on the application node, but the problem still persists

  I installed the latest version of Oracle Enterprise Linux 6 on VMWare Player.
  So far so good.
  Now I want to install 10g on the system and have read both Expert Oracle 10 g database Administration and the fast for 10g Release 2 Setup Guide (10.2) for Linux x 86
  I seems to be now stuck in the situation to get all loaded packages that are recommended. Some of the packages are not on the cd, so I'm starting to wonder if it is a valid version for installation.
  Because the version is releast Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server 6.0, I had that with
  # cat/etc/redhat-release
  
  So 10g is not supported on this version?
  If so do I download the previous version of Linux?
  If so what version and if you can direct me in the sense I would be really happy.

  Currently 6 Linux is not certified to any version of database Oracle.

  Operating system for 10 g 2 (which is what I assume you are using) is listed in the Release Notes - http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B19306_01/relnotes.102/b15659/toc.htm#CHDFHIEA

• How to create a computer virtual file VHD using VMWare Player?

  I created a .vhd file using disk2vhd which contains my drive system (a Windows 7 installation). I would like to create a virtual machine using VMware Player of this image, but I have been unable to do. Can someone help me?

  You were quite right about the execution of my VM from an external drive USB - no problem at all.

  Today experiences confirm that:

  (a) I can run my VMS on Windows 7 and Windows 8 from an external USB

  (b) VMPlayer can create files hard greater than 2 TB in size (on Windows 7 and Windows 8 guests)

  (c) I can't reach my Data.VHDX file on my Windows 8 host

  (d) I can set up as a shared folder inside my VM on Windows 8

  (e) I can copy files from the shared folder to a drive on my virtual machine.

  Certainly, this closes this discussion - thanks a lot for your help.

• Issue of stop start to use VMware player 6.3.0 and a .iso file

  When I power on a virtual machine using an image (Ubuntu 7.04) .iso file in VMware Player 6.3.0 or VMware Workstation 10.3.0, startup stops at certain places and does no more.

  I saw the screen below first,

  

  Then I restarted the VM and I saw the screen below.

  

  I checked the settings of the virtual machine, but have no idea of what is wrong. I don't think that there is no mistake on virtual or physical machine or version number. The .iso file is reliable as well. Could someone help me?

  I solved the problem only by changing to use VMware Player 4.0.6 not version 6.3.0. It was probably incompatibility to halfway...

• problems installing XP using vmware player

  I used vmware for some time, but just re - install my virtual XP environment.

  My host PC is running win7pro_32bit and I use vmware player (v4.0.0 build-471780)

  When I go to start the installation (from CD using CD I used to build PCs in the past, but never in vmware), I see an error

  "CDBOOT: couldn't find NTLDR.

  I'm guessing that my winXP disk might be shot, but I can't believe (seems ok)... is it possible that I missed an obvious step?

  I have attached a log if that helps?

  If please define the virtual CD-ROM drive in the virtual machine for "Legacy Emulation" settings and try again.
