Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hello
First of all you n t need to access the BIOS to boot from the CD.
You can simply press the F12 key immediately after the laptop has been powered.
It would show the available boot options.Alternatively, you can press the C button that would automatically allow the CD/DVD drive as the boot source.

Re: How to enter the BIOS on Satellite C50 - B
Hi guys!
You just purchased Toshiba C50 - B, it's * laptop computer test I've ever seen, not recommend to anyone, avoid this brand at all the... 15 days, I tried to get into AD BIOS anything yet this completely useless, not even no CD in there!
I assume that you are not informed sufficiently how it all works and your opinion is, unfortunately, based on low level of information about Win8/Win8.1.
As a first step, you must perform a complete shutdown of Windows. How to do this you can read in http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/TSB2B03EY0002R01.htm
After that restart your machine and press F12 to get into the boot menu.
Here you can choose the boot device and also find option settings to enter the BIOS settings. -

I want to see the system BIOS on my laptop, but touch that is it for?

Sorry with my English.
I put t know what BIOS was preinstalled on this very old unit but usually you have to press ESC then F1 immediately after starting the laptop. This will not work if the device uses the Toshiba BIOS.
But if Phoenix BIOS has been installed you have to press F2 to enter the system BIOS

How to access the BIOS on a Pavilion Elite e9237c with mouse and keyboard wireless?
I have a desktop computer Pavilion Elite e9237 with a wireless keyboard and mouse. I tried to access the BIOS by pressing F10 at startup with no luck, and I can't access any of the other menus for the start-up eiither. I don't have a PS/2 port on my computer, so I can't get a wired keyboard and mouse. Does anyone know how to access the BIOS with this configuration?
I bought a USB keyboard and he answered in the same way... No bios access. I then studied why it did not work and discovered that it was the way in which he has been connected to the computer. I had initially plugged into a USB hub when he was not working and I moved it directly into a USB port and it works! I plugged my keyboard wireless directly into the USB port and it works too! Thanks for your help... I wouldn't have thought of it if it wasn't for to recommend you the USB keyboard.
