How to adjust shared video memory - R10/R600 teacher of Win7 32-bit size
Hello
I use two laptops in the business - R600 and R10. Both with Intel 4500 graphics card and shared video memory. Both win Windows 7 Professional 32 bit. In both cases the system of reserve 1 159 MB of video memory. As I do not play no matter what games, I don't need to lose an enormous amount of memory - I want to release as much as possible for the system and programs.
For the purposes of the trial, I installed Win 7 Ultimate 64-bit. Surprisingly, it holds only 199MB of video memory - it looks like the issue of the BONE.
Anyone know how I can reduce the size of the video memory under Windows 7 32 bit?
Kind regards
PAB 567
As far as I know, this can be done manually and shared memory is controlled by the system.
If you n t use it for games I n t see any problem here. I put t know what kind of activity you do with your laptop, but I can't imagine there is not enough memory to each day's activities.
Is it not enough power for some operations or what?

How to adjust the video memory on Satellite A100-811
Hi all
There, an agency know how to adjust the memory of the video card in the laptop Toshiba Satellite A100-811?
The physical memory of my laptop is 512 MB, I want to share my 128 MB videocard, nomatter if 384 will remain in my physical memory.Your immediate response is much appreciated.
Thanks in advance
JilvirHello
the Satellite A100 supports an Intel 945GM processor 8MB - 128 MB of graphics memory shared memory, it's true. But
as far as I know it of not possible to allocate this memory shared manually, it happens automatically. If the application running more graphic must map memory then the OS will be automatically increases this value.
It seems that this laptop came with 512 MB of memory. In my opinion you must upgrade the memory of 1024MB if you want to use the full 128 MB shared memory.

Satellite L30-134: how to change shared video memory?
Hello
I have a laptop L30-134 with 512 MB of ram and 64 MB of video memory shared.
I can't change the virtual memory from 64 MB to 128 MB.
I reed some messages in this forum but I have no option in the Panel as "FrameBuffer" and the bios hase no option for the video display adapter, I tried to install the latest ati driver but ich time I get an error is not configuration / compatibil card whit say out.How I change my card adapter video shared memory size?
Thank you.
PS: sory for my bad English... :)Hello
Using the latest display driver (you can download it at toshiba), then you will have the option of frame buffer memory. The initially installed driver doesn't have this option. You will be able to use the memory of 128 MB for vga. If you put your L30 512 MB, you can use 256 MB of video memory. But I found no differences in the games between 128 MB and 256 MB.
Best regards

Satellite L845D - how to increase shared video memory (AMD APU)
I have a 512 MB to 1 GB, but I have no option in the BIOS. In desktop APU systems, it is possible, since there is an option in the BIOS. Should I kind of updated, unlocked or BIOS 'hacked '?
Thanks in advance
BIOS hacked?
Forget buddy... don't even think about BIOS hacks... something like that (if possible) would be detrimental to your unit... certainly...Shared memory cannot be increased manually... it is controlled by the graphics driver and especially depends on the main memory... in some cases, the shared memory will increase after RAM upgrade...

Satellite L30-105: how to change shared video memory on Vista...
My question is the same as we can read on this url:
http://forums.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=20578But the solution only works with windows xp, anyone know a driver version with which the 'frame buffer' tab is present?
The latest version of the driver is installed on my Satellite L30-105(catalyst 7.6), 128 MB are shared, but 32 will be enough for me.Thanks in advance

Hello
I think the problem is that Vista graphic driver does not support this option.
The option described in the in the other thread was available in the argument XPOS.But why would you change? On my L30 128 MB shared memory are activated, but the laptop uses only 64 MB if I put t run all applications performance.
The pilot controls the amount of shared memory automatically. You can se under control panel-> display-> advanced settings
In the map tab, you can see total graphic memory available (in my case 128 MB) and system memory shared (64 MB)By the way; I don't think that 32 MB graphics memory may be sufficient if you're running Vista

How to increase the video memory shared on Portege M100
I have a Portege M100 and I would like to increase the shared video memory. In the technical documentation: 16-64MB shared video memory
I have 768 MB of RAM
but he can't do it in the Bios or Windows.
where can I do it?(I'm french, sorry for the bad English)
Hello
As far as I know this laptop has an Intel graphics card.
for example on an ATI card graphics it is possible to set manually shared memory, but on an Intel shared memory graphics card will be determined automatically.
That's why you can't find any options to change this value. -
I wonder if more shared video memory will make my game to live better.
allright, I have a Core 2 Duo 2 ghz cpu, 3 GB of RAM DDR2, an Intel GMA 4500MHD (128 MB dedicated video memory) and 1.2 GB of video memory shared (you know, the kind that comes out of your total RAM and is SLOW). I play games (halo 2, call of duty), and I was wondering if the allowance, say 1.5 GB instead of 1.2 GB video memory shared could make a difference at all in my current games, or allow me to play more than memory video intensive games. Please answer if you know the answer to the question. If you don't know the answer, don't answer. Thank you for your time.
Intel has a good web page describing the shared video memory http://www.intel.com/support/graphics/sb/CS-029090.htm. According to this page, the video card uses automatically more memory as needed until the maximum authorized.

Satellite L300-129 - how to increase the video memory (shared)
Yesterday I bought TOSHIBA Satellite L300-129
AND I WANT TO ASK SOMETHING:
I want to share some memory to improve the proceedings of VGA card.
I know that I need to do from the CONFIGURATION of the BACK but I can't and I need to improve my VGA card because the default is so so small... I want to give him some PART of MEMORY (RAM) SYSTEMPLEASE I NEED HELP
THANK YOU GUYS;
Hey Buddy
Unfortunately, I doubt that you can allocate a portion of system memory to video memory manually. AFAIK this sharing process is controlled by the driver for graphics card and all run automatically.
On the other hand the graphics card driver could assign more memory for video card if the system memory could be upgraded.
In other words the higher system RAM superior video RAM.Welcome them

When I try to install the software for the craft Studio & digital Fisher price I get an error message that I don't have enough video memory and aborts the installation. It is said that it requires 64 MB minimum
You can not 'solve' video memory. Either you have it or you don't have.
However, unless you have a very old or very basic computer, it seems doubtful that it is an exact error message. I suggest you contact the Support of F - P.

Information
http://i26.Tinypic.com/28qugk7.jpgThe problem is that my video memory is low (128 MB). This laptop has a shared Intel GMA 4500 M video. How can I increase the size of the video memory? I can't find anything in the user manuals. I have the latest version of the driver for him... and I can't find where to increase its memory.

Thank you guys.
When the laptop has shared graphics memory card, that means the RAM will be used for graphic operations (borrowing of memory of RAM your system of graphics chip).
With RAM more available (upgrade of RAM), more memory will be available for graphics operations. -
Re: Satellite A300: how to spend the video memory
Hi I was checking methods on how to do a little more my graphics card work and people told me to devote some memory to my video.
Here are my settings right now:total graphics memory: 358 MB
* dedicated video memory: 0 MB *.
video memory: 128
shared system memory: 230while I was looking for a solution on how to do this and I found this:

Help, please
NathanPS. do you think that graphics card is good enough to play new games? (eg. cod5, far cry 2, etc.)
Hi Nathan
You cannot change the value of the video memory manually. It is not possible.
Everything is controlled by the graphics driver and AutoPlay. As Akuma suggested memory graphics cards increases during the upgrade of RAM.
More RAM value more the memory of the graphics card shared.Welcome them

HP Pavilion g7-1219wm how to increase the video memory.
Hello
Question is simple. but the answer is impossible as HP make it harder for us to be able to take advantage of its total capacity on the products that we buy from them.
was announce on this computer laptop specifications that the video memory can be up to 1973 MB.
memory dedicated only 384 MB and can not be change, why shops you can use up to 1973 MB. Which for me is false adverticement other wise, they explain how you can get this amount of RAM.
If some now knows it please explain and post in this forum.
Thank you
Jred452
Hello:
In fact, the answer is simple.
Change video memory cannot be done by any means by the user.
Video memory mapping is automatically assigned.
The announced video memory is correct if the video card has to use the shared PC system memory.
Go to your windows experience index window and click on the detailed report.
It will show you how many dedicated graphic memory it is, it is the amount of system memory dedicated (normally the zero with a discreet graphics card) and the amount of system memory is available for the video card.
This is whence your 'until 1973 Mo"- additional system memory that can be automatically assigned to the video card if necessary.

(Excuse my English, I use a translator)
This old laptop has a graphics card with shared memory. In other words, when you have more RAM inside more memory will be used for graphical operations. According to the specifications of the laptop this old notebook was shipped with 128 MB of RAM, but can be improved up to 512 MB.
Trying to find internet modules two PC100 256 MB with part number PA3069U - 1. 25 M and update.

How to increase the video memory on Portege Z830 - 11 M?
Hello!
I have a Toshiba Portege Z830 - 11M. I want to increase the video memory.
I don't know if it's possible and how to do it. I tried to open the bios by pressing the F2 key (as in the product specifications, I received with my laptop) and I arrived at the Toshiba help settings. The ESC and F1 keys open the Windows startup settings. If anyone can help me, please advice.Thank you very much.
Hi Mishal
In general the Portégé Z830 - 11 M is designed to escort us in usual daily activities such as sending mail, Office Automation and communication internet and feature thin and lightweight design allows us to take it anywhere.
Hardware configuration has limited the performance of course, but at the same time offer excellent multitasking and long battery life. As far as I know on this machine you will not find any option to increase the performance of the GPU and everything that it works automatically.
According to some feedback non demanding games should be playable with this graphics card too.
I can't imagine that you want to play games with this machine so I would like to know what it is to ask about the graphics performance more.
