How to backup to a folder password protected, located on another computer on the network?
Hello
My OS is Windows 7 Professional. I have configured windows backup back up some of my files on a network share on a daily basis. There are people other than me who have administrator privileges on the computer on the network where my backup is stored. My problem is to password protect the share network folder as windows backup on it my computer can be done automatically. The computer where the backup is stored is a machine to windows server 2008.
Any ideas or suggestions?
Run the task as a backup operator, add yourself as a member of the backup operators group. You can do this with the console "Users and groups", to open the console type lusrmgr.msc in the box run from the start menu.

How to import bookmarks from another computer on the network?
I have an old computer that has firefox on it with a large number of bookmarks. I want to import the bookmarks into this new computer on my home network. How can I do this? It would also be useful if in the course of the transfer bookmarks would get in alphabetical order.
You can export to HTML bookmarks in the Bookmarks window. It's now called "show all bookmarks". The last button on the toolbar in the window is the one that you are using and choose export. You can then save the bookmarks in HTML whenever you want. With the new computer, use the same toolbar button and choose Import and import the HTML file.

How can I connect to my database externally from another pc on the network?
Hi all
I just install 12 c on my Oracle Linux box and I am able to connect locally to the database, as intended. Now, what would be the first step to connect to my external database from another computer on the network. By example, if the database server is 10.0.0.150 and I want to connect to 10.0.0.151 how can I make this happen? If necessary here are a few references:
-bash-4, $ 2 cat listener.ora
listener.ora # Network Configuration file: /ora01/app/oracle/product/12.1.0/db_1/network/admin/listener.ora
# Generated by Oracle configuration tools.
LISTENER =
(DESCRIPTION_LIST =
(DESCRIPTION =
(ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = oranode1.dba.com) (PORT = 1521))
(ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = CIP)(KEY = EXTPROC1521))
)
)
-bash-4, $ 2 cat tnsnames.ora
tnsnames.ora # Network Configuration file: /ora01/app/oracle/product/12.1.0/db_1/network/admin/tnsnames.ora
# Generated by Oracle configuration tools.
ANTHONYDB =
(DESCRIPTION =
(ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = oranode1.dba.com) (PORT = 1521))
(CONNECT_DATA =
(SERVER = DEDICATED)
(SERVICE_NAME = anthonydb)
)
)
-bash-4, $ 2 cat/etc/hosts
127.0.0.1 oranode1 oranode1.dba.com localhost4 localhost4.localdomain4
: 1 localhost localhost.localdomain localhost6 localhost6.localdomain6
10.0.0.150 oranode1.dba.com oranode1
Let me know if you need any information. Currently, I am not able to connect to my database using the IP and port (10.0.0.150, 1521) of my 10.0.0.151 pc. Thank you all for your help in advance.
Hello EdStevens,
I tried to use the SID with SID = anthonydb and I got the same error message. I believe that we must resolve before listener troubleshoot us this error... If we look at the file of the listener:
[oracle@oranode1 admin] $ cat listener.ora
listener.ora # Network Configuration file: /ora01/app/oracle/product/12.1.0/db_1/network/admin/listener.ora
# Generated by Oracle configuration tools.
LISTENER =
(DESCRIPTION_LIST =
(DESCRIPTION =
(ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = oranode1.dba.com) (PORT = 1521))
)
(DESCRIPTION =
(ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP) (HOST = 10.0.0.150)(PORT = 1521))
)
)
ADR_BASE_LISTENER = / ora01/app/oracle
I have two entries, and I think that I should remove the last entry:
(DESCRIPTION =
(ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP) (HOST = 10.0.0.150)(PORT = 1521))
)
I created a backup of the file listener and I'm going to give it a shot.

I need to disable a copy of Dreamweaver CS5 so that I can activate it on another computer. The first computer crashed, so the program is more about it. How do I disable?
I was finally able to get on a chat session with an Adobe employee and the problem has been resolved. She told me to "Skip This Step" then screen here and it worked (when I had tried that before, it did not work, but that was before the deactivation was made for the computer on which crashed). I hope that this will not cause any kind of problem ID and password in the future, but for now, the program is back up and functioning normally.

Another computer has the same IP address as mine, how can I change this?
Another computer has the same IP address as mine, how can I change this?
Original title: IP address
Hi John,.
Please go to the Microsoft Community Forum.
IP (Internet Protocol) address for the other two computer cannot be the same.
Internet Protocol (IP) addresses are unique numeric identifiers that are required for each device that connects to the Internet. Them are a common shared resource that must be managed carefully in order to ensure the continued growth and stability of the Internet. Most of the Internet is currently treated with IP version 4 (IPv4) addresses. IPv6 addresses are also in use, but not yet to the same extent. IPv6 is a newer protocol, offering a much larger than IPv4 address pool
However, you can try to reset TCP/IP on your computer.
Check out the link provided and check if the problem persists.

How can I connect to another computer in your network? to share photos, music and videos
I want to connect my computers families so I can share music and pictures they take... but when I click to join their files, it asks me the username and password... is something that someone had put in place or is it in your computer?
Hello
1. are you using cable or wireless network?
2 are all computers that are running Windows 7 on the network?
What version of the operating system Windows am I running?
No, Windows does not let you to set passwords that limit access to shared folders. However, if you are not on a domain, you can limit network access to the Public folder by turning password protected sharing or disable. This allows only people with a user account and the password for your computer to access the Public folder over the network.
Whether you are on a domain or not, you can limit access to other folders by choosing to share only with specific people, grant share permissions. Permissions can be granted to an individual or a group of users on the same network, allowing them to access your shared folders. You can also set the level of access, allowing people to just open shared files, or also to change, create, or delete. For more information, see

How can I tell if another computer on my network has access to my files?
All of a sudden, there is what looks like a folder on my desktop, with different files into it that belonged to someone who had direct access to my laptop up until 2 days ago, but has since been locked out of it (all passwords are changed). It seems that he was able to access my laptop through our wireless home network, and I would like to be able to prove it's him. Can I do this? I have Vista on my laptop, and it has XP.
Hello BarbiMcBride,
I suggest looking at the answer in this thread by SpiritX:It explains the ways you can tell if someone accesses your computer remotely or not.You can also disable file and printer sharing:If you want to hide your computer from other computers on your network you can disable it by following these instructions:
