  • How to block pop ups

    Hello

Today, while using other programs on my laptop, I have pop ups of the internet coming on the screen.

I have not had this problem before and I don't know how to stop them.

I checked in Internet Explorer and pop-up Blocker functionality is still on.  I also run McAfee Internet Security, but the firewall is enabled always thus.

I received a message today from McAfee indicating that a file attempts to access the internet and I want to allow this.  I still say no.  The specified file is - C:\users\***\appdata\local\temp\sdq.exe.  Could it be related to the problem?

Does anyone know how to stop this, I don't like the idea of junk files that can open it on my computer?

    Thank you very much

Update your McAfee and run the full scan of the system and see if it detects something or not.

Try contacting McAfee, if after analysis complete this unresolved problem.

How to stop the new ads on Facebook

I get very annoyed by ads to where they are on the web so I use an add-on called 'Adblock Plus' which uses its database to block known ads and you can even block yourself!

With 'Adblock Plus Adblock Plus ' installed, you can block all advertising photo:

    1. right click on the announcement of photo that you want to get rid

    2. in the menu, click the option that says: ' Adblock Plus: block image... "(it is usually at the bottom of the menu)

    3. when the pop up box appears, simply click 'Add filter' and advertising will disappear before your eyes!

  • pop - up promo from Amazon is not blocked, why?

Naturally I blocker functional but there is a new and really, really boring "coupon" pop-up that is still on Amazon, but also on other sites. Close the window of the coupon and it appears whenever I browse to look at any product. It is really bad and dilapidated still offers everything the Amazon model does not already ('free delivery' above a certain expenses on some items, etc.). It has a distinctive green border and appears on other sites as well. How did get around your software? How can I make this stop?

    Dear AnnaZed

I believe (not sure yet) that I know what the problem is (remedy). I was not able to get a new popup appears since I did the following:

I was running the Panda Cloud Antivirus free and apparently installed the 'free' at the outset Panda Security toolbar. I saw a post somewhere (maybe CNET) during my research time several that involved Panda anti-virus with ad sponsoring so I decided to "Uninstall" the Panda Security Toolbar for in my Control Panel Add/Remove (in Windows XP). On if the Panda antivirus program. So far, no more don't pop up ads! Fingers crossed (and will update this post if I'm wrong).

I would be grateful if you could confirm this (if you are using Panda Antivirus).

Apparently, Panda Antivirus is listed as supported by advertising (depending on the option to install the 'free' toolbar during initial installation). As far as I know, each of the pop-up ads is a legitimate company that has an affiliate program (Amazon is called Amazon Associates). I think that when you click on the "coupon", Panda gets credit for sales that result.

Please let me (and anyone else who finds this post!) know if this solves your problem.

    Good luck!

  • How to remove the malicious software that is causing the pop up ads "to go around the web"?  These pop ups appear on almost every page I open and I have bad non-kid-friendly images?  Apple instructions for the removal of the malware did not help.

How to remove the malicious software that is causing the pop up ads "to go around the web"?  These pop ups appear on almost every page I open and I have bad non-kid-friendly images?  Instructions from Apple to remove the malware have not removed despite them a number of times.

Click here and follow the instructions. If you would rather not remove it manually, you can run rather MalwareBytes for Mac.

MalwareBytes is a removal tool and does not stop adware or other malware from entering the computer. It should not be invoked to prevent future incidents; Instead, avoid downloading software from sources other than the Mac App Store or Developer Web sites.
