• Why is there a limited number of changes in the region for the dvd player

  Hello

  I live in the US but have a number of DVD in the United Kingdom - region 2, I occasionally like to play. When you place a region 2 DVD in the tray and launch, I am asked to change region 1 (used 99% of the time) to region 2. BUT there is a message saying that I only have a limited number of swaps in the region (and now I go out)

  Issues related to the:

  1. Why is there a limited number of area swaps?

  2. is there a way to get around this limitation? Or I will have to buy a DVD of the entire drive and watch my DVD region 2 on my TV?

  can anyone help with this, after installing the software comes with my curve 8350 and restarted my dvd drive disappeared.  in Device Manager, it was noticed (!) showing error code 39, which is a problem with the drivers.  someone at - it had to happen and if so, how do take you care of it?  I tried uninstalling the software and had to download the re - install because the dvd drive not working, same results.  is there a blackberry on this fix.

  It turns out that I gave the uninstallation and reinstallation of the downloaded software, one more try, and it worked. my dvd drives are back and usable.  what I discovered on the web, the media software they use can sometimes do exactly what he does if installed right or sometimes it does so without reason.  I think they use the software roxio for the part of their software media.  It (roxio or whatever the brand that they have integrated) is known to cause this problem in standalone versions.  Thank you for your help my pc works fine now and my phone works great!

  You must talk to people bad at HP since it is not Windows that
  decides what optical drives of regions are defined.  HP provides probably hundreds
  readers of your region (really the thousands).

  Try these steps and check the result.
  Step 1: Change DVD region
  a. Click Start, type devmgmt.msc and press on enter to open Device Manager.
  b. double-click on CD-ROM/DVD-ROM drives, click on the DVD drive that you want, and then click Properties.
  c. on the DVD region tab, make the desired changes.

  Note: To configure your DVD drive to play discs from other regions, select a geographic area from the list of regions. As a general rule, you must select the region in which you reside. It is not often necessary to change the setting again.

  Important: The region can change only a limited number of times. When changes remaining equals 1, and you select a new region, an alert is displayed to warn you that after this, you only will be able to play DVDs from that region. Be aware that you will not be able to change the region setting for some DVD hardware and software decoders.

  Step 2: If the problem persists, run the Windows Media Player DVD Troubleshoot utility and check the result.

  I guess you know very well that you cannot change region code so often you want. Because of this it is reminder and inform the user how many times it can be done. The last code used will be defined as a default value.

  To be Pierre you can not change now legal way. Of course on the net, you can probably find a tool for this. I assume that you need code 2 for Europe.

  Try to insert a zone 2 DVD and then try to change the DVD region setting. I suggest you use an exclusive region code 2 DVD and check if it helps.

• Print screen does not work with DVD player

  I had a DVD created from old family movies. Now, I'm trying to capture an image using screen capture tools, but all I get is a gray image. I tried shift-3-Cmde, shift-command-4-click, enter, etc., but no luck. Here's what I come up with:

  Apple's DVD player has not authorized screenshots for quite awhile - it is deliberate and very probably some copyright.

  There are two methods to get the screen capture anyway - one is to download and use the VLC media player (free of charge) to your screenshots as usual, the other is to use the controls in the Apple's DVD player, which is a bit clunkier.  To use Apple's DVD player, pause playback, then choose the DVD player > orders > use the current image as a jacket photo menu item, then press stop - stop playback of DVD will bring to the top of the image of the jacket, which you pouvez capture.
