How to change the page that appears when I open the page new tab using the sign + on the tab bar?

every time I open a new tab using + sign on the tabs bar, a Web site appears, which I was not aware. I want just the old rear setting. It must be my fault of friends. Help, please.

You can do this on the topic: config page by resetting the pref browser.newtab.url via the context menu.

See this article on the page tab (topic: newtab):

    Hello

With the last update of Firefox, the number of tiles is now determined on the size of the screen - if zoom you or enlarge the window, you can have several tiles appear.

If you want to set a fixed number of tiles, I believe you can do it with the following extensions:

You can also see jscher2000's Solution here: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1025414
It requires the add-on from the elegant but will decrease automatically the tiles on the page:

  • How can I stop spotify that appears when I start my PC. ?

The Spotify link keeps appearing when I open my PC, even if I did anything to unsubscribe Facebook & on my desk. help please.

    Hi Sue,

It is not a virus or infection - just a difficult program to remove (or so it seems).  Let's start with some basic options and see if 'simple' did the trick.

First of all, download Revo (the free version): http://www.revouninstaller.com/revo_uninstaller_free_download.html.  Install and search for Spotify (or anything that looks at it's Spotify).  Advanced mode allows to uninstall it from the computer.

If this does not work (or you can't find it), then download Autoruns http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb963902 and install it and run it and click all.  Now, search for all entries (there can be more than one, in order to verify the entire list) which indicate Spotify (especially in the startup programs).  If found, clear the checkbox to prevent them from running at startup.  Once done, reboot and that will probably solve the problem.

If that doesn't work, check your browser and try the mode without modules (if he has one - you can find it for IE in the menu start / all programs / accessories) or check the Add-ons for those who relate to Spotify in any way and disable or delete them.  Then, if you found one, reboot and see if the problem persists.  You will need to do this for any browser that you have installed.

If this isn't the case, please explain further what you mean by "link Spotify".  It's a shortcut or something in the taskbar or a running program or what?  Where is it located?  If you right-click on it and click Properties, does say anything about where it came from (a specific location)?  The link even works at all if you do a right click or left click on it?  He works (by which I mean, is Spotify actually run or is the problem just the boredom of the link appearing)?

If the problem persists, try a clean boot to see if the problem persists.  If this isn't the case, we can solve it.  Try a clean boot (Vista and W7) http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135. If the problem goes away then it's just a matter of tracking down the culprit at the origin of the problem. Follow the procedures described in the article. Once found, remove, delete, disable or uninstall. Once don't forget to reset your system back to the normal state, as described in the procedures. If the problem occurs in clean mode then just restore the system to normal and reboot - this solution will not work. If you are using XP, see http://support.microsoft.com/kb/310353 and http://support.microsoft.com/kb/316434.

That's enough for now.  We can try other things if these do not work, but we will keep for just this now and Then, if the problem persists, please answer these questions and explain what happened with each procedure you tried and provide everything that could be useful.

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

  • How can I change the page that appears when I open a new tab? He now brings to the top search engine Bing.

I am running Win 7 Pro 64 on a laptop HP 4530. My desktop unit (home built) opens a new tab with a blank page. I would like to open each with a specific search engine.

I guess that the order should be amended, so that the keyword. URL
and setting the home page in Firefox are last. After resolving all all Bing and StartNow
things. You may need to restart the system after you complete these Panel
changes and restart Firefox after (sometimes necessary configuration changes
If most are effective immediately or in a new window).

  • How can I reset the page that appears when I open a new tab "white"?

MySearchDial reset my settings in several browsers. I deleted the program, I set my home page and removed the site from the list of engines of research possible, but when I opened a new tab "in white", it always opens with MySearchDial features. I tried the SearchReset extension, it did not work. I tried the subject: config newtab url, that does not work either.

    How to reset it?

Could you take a second look at everything: config?

    (1) in a new tab, type or paste Subject: config in the address bar and press ENTER. Click on the button promising to be careful.

    (2) in the search above the list box, type or paste newtab and make a pause so that the list is filtered

    (3) If you check the browser.newtab.url preference, what is he on? These are the typical things:

    • (Default) page thumbnails = > subject: newtab
    • Blank tab = > subject: empty
    • Built-in Firefox homepage = > topic: welcome
    • Any other page = > full URL of the page

If it is already set correctly, but still, you get a white page MySearchDial, one of your other extensions may be the problem.

You can consult, disable and/or remove extensions on page modules. Either:

    • CTRL + SHIFT + a
    • "3-bar" menu button (or tools) > Add-ons

In the left column, click Extensions. Then, when in doubt, turn off...

If it indicates that it is locked or refuses to save the changes, Check Control Panel, uninstall a program for a program called research protect and remove that. Locked preference may also indicate the presence of a mozilla.cfg file. If you think that, please post back for more information, by simply removing this file can cause problems.

    Hello

When loading a project, PremierePro requests in the Explorer window where is the file 'PAL_canvas_lwr3d.psd'?

Am totally familiar with this psd file name, but assume that this has something to do with a file of title I am or used in the project.

The options are Skip/All, Offline/All, select and cancel.

When I click on the folder of the project in the Solution Explorer, I was informed that no items match your search.

What can I do to avoid this kind of thing from recurring?

    Thank you!

Delete this "file" in your project Panel. When you open the first then you shouldn't get the error.

  • Compacts of Firefox window - how to change the navigation bar and tab strip on top, while the bar menu permanently active combined with naviagion bar

To understand better, I'll show pictures:

    1) change these bars

    2) change navigation bar

    • Navigation bar is in the menu bar because menus cannot be moved

    3) and it should look like this

    • Is this possible?

Solution would be moving to the right of the orange mozilla icon menu bar and less it would be a band to tabs, but I don't know how!

P.s. OK, I got that by just release menu bar and clicking on the tabs on the top, but the bar menu shows only when you press Alt - how to freeze the Alt function?

Exactly what you're trying to do is not possible yet, but the developers are working on it. This - https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/personal-titlebar/ - extension will get close to that which you shown in the screenshot of your 3rd.

Sorry, I read too fast. This happens any time you access your home page? For example, using either:

    • CTRL + n (start a new window)
    • Click on the Home icon in the toolbar

    If Yes:

You can have a second put tab in place in your homepage layout. Please see these articles:

If this setting is clean, please review your extensions as stated in my previous answer.

    If not:

Sometimes problems occur only at startup.

    • If the tab is linked to an update of the extension: you should see this tab once and not every time that you start, but Firefox may be not recording the 'you have seen' setting correctly. Please see this article on the failure of save the settings: How to fix preferences that will not save.
    • If the tab is not related to an update of the extension, please review your extensions as stated in my previous answer. Keep in mind that Firefox is not delivered with all extensions, they are all optional.

Can I do this? If so, how?

This is something that you would need to put in place in your browser.
Thunderbird cannot control how links are open in the browser.
