Can I install windows xp pro on several computers then with the same product key?
I am the owner of a home-based business and I need to know if I have to buy several copies of a Windows xp pro, or can I use the same product key for all my computers.
It works this way:
A single license is a single Installation.
You can still buy XP from: online on newegg, amazon, etc. or try your local computer repair shop.

Updating Win 7 32 Bit to Win 7 64 bit with the same product key
Hey,.
I bought a laptop computer where is installed Win 7 Pro 32 Bit. Now, I want to install Win 7 pro 64 bits with the same product key. I have the required software. Is this possible?
Yes, you can use the same product key to install and activate the 64-bit version.
You will need to do a clean install, there is no place on the way to upgrade Windows 7 32 bit to 64 bit.
Using the disk of 64-bit Windows 7, install Windows 7 Windows Easy Transfer Utility from the DVD (to find it, simply navigate to x:\support\migwiz, "x:" is the name of your hard drive. (In this case, you will see a collection of files, the important"that you must search for and double-click is 'migsetup'.) run it and create a DAMP (Windows Easy Transfer file), if you have an external hard drive, you can access it later when you perform a clean install of Windows 7 64-bit disk so you can stored there.
Once you have done this, just do a clean install of Windows 7 64 bit disc. In Windows 7 64 bit disk, start Windows Easy Transfer, follow the wizard screen, tap on which is stored the WET file (external hard drive) and it will restore your personal files and settings. Reinstall the applications needed.
http://www.notebooks.com/2009/10/07/using-Windows-easy-transfer-in-Windows-7/
Boot from the DVD 64 bit Windows 7
Click Install now
Accept the license agreement
When the option is displayed to select a type of installation, click (Custom advanced)
Select the disk partition where you want to install Windows 7 click Next.
You will receive the following warning:
The partition you have selected may contain files from a previous Installation of Windows. If so, these files and folders will be moved to a folder named Windows.old. You will be able to access the information in Windows.old, but you will be able to use your previous version of Windows.
(At all costs, do NOT click on anything in Format, deletion or Partition name.) So even do a custom installation, your personal files are still kept. Click OK
The installation program will now begin installation. During installation, your computer will be restarted several times.
Once the installation is complete, you can complete the Out of Box experience as the choice of your laptop, create a username, password, your time zone. You can then proceed to download the latest updates for Windows and reinstall your applications and drivers.
You can then retrieve your personal files from the Windows.old folder and reinstall all of your applications and drivers.

Some time ago I bought a computer with Windows XP pre-installed. I have not received a CD with it. At one point, during an update Windows online, I learned that the copy of Windows was not authentic, and the place I bought it from was out of business. I then bought Windows XP Pro Microsoft online and went through the update of product with the Windows product key update tool and ran OK from there.
Well, my HDD recently crashed, and I started to install the Windows XP Pro purchased CD on a new hard drive. The installation was asked to enter the 25-digit product key, I found that the unique product key sent with the CD has been a key 20 digits in this format; Product key: SKU:B7P - 00005 KEY01:xxxxx - xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-CD2. (The x are just for the format). What do need me do to be able to install my real purchased copy of Windows XP Pro?
The numbers you enter are not the product key. Contact Ms. online where you bought the CD or try some of the links below:

Reinstalled Win Vista with the recovery CD that I got with my HP Pavilion, now get quick activate Windows with a new product key. MS sticker on the tower is one that says 'Vista', no product key. When I go to activate Windows, I offer the choice to buy another copy of Windows or enter a new product key. A run the Genuine Advantage tool and he says it's "authentic." HP will not help, they say I have to buy another copy of Windows from MS, but I already paid for it when I bought the machine. What can I do?

Windows 7 64 bit to 32 bit
I have windows7 64-bit with the computer acer laptop, but I want to change to 32 bit can it is possible with the same product key?
If you have a retail version of Windows 7, then it is more than likely came with discs both 64-bit and 32-bit. In this case, boot from the 32-bit disk and do a clean install.
If the 64-bit version has been pre-installed, then you need to contact Acer to see if they have a 32-bit recovery disc.

Qosmio PX30T-A-14r: how to change the type of keyboard language
You just bought an AIO Qosmio px30t-a-14r / windows 8.1
At the start, during the first installation, I had to choose the language and keyboard settings.
I chose the language: English-uk.
For the keyboard, I had the choice of 3 types:
-Belgian comma
-dot Belgian (or point?)
-Belgian french
I chose Belgian by commas. However, later in the installation process I was able to test response of the keys on the keyboard with this configuration.
It was the wrong setting. How can I change to "Belgian point" or "Belgian french.
Should be one of these 2 but I don't know how to change it.Has anybode a suggestion?
Thank you
RCIt is not very complicated:
Press the Windows key + C to open your charms... Then select the charm of settings and then click Change PC settings. Click the time and language, and then select the language and region. On the right, select your language, and then click Options. Click Add a keyboard, and then select the keyboard you want in the list.
This will add your selection to the list of keyboards.
You can remove a keyboard by clicking on it and click on delete.
In addition, you can also add several keyboard layouts and switch between them when necessary. You can switch between your keyboard layouts by clicking on the language and the keyboard at the bottom right and then select a keyboard layout. Or you can use the 2nd method: on your desktop, you will see your current language in the lower right corner next to the clock. Click on your current language and choose a keyboard layout.

Can't download Windows 7 Pro 64 bit Disc Images (ISO files) with the license product key
A few months ago, I bought a laptop with Windows 7 Pro 64 bit pre-installed, used with supplied installation disc. There is a hologram sticker COA affixed to the laptop with a product key. I used this key to activate the phone without problem. I was then able to install SP1 and various other updates over time.
Recently, I decided that I should have a Windows installation disc (Windows Update has slowed to a crawl and doesn't, and I maybe to repair or reinstall it with the disk).
I have entered my product key on Microsoft Web page to 'Download the Windows 7 disc Images (ISO files)'. But I got an error message:
"The product key you have entered seems to be for software pre-installed by the manufacturer of the device. Contact the manufacturer of the software device for recovery options. »
Running 'Winver' shows that my product is authorized.
Running "slmgr.vbs - dli" shows the partial product key and license status "allowed."

How can I download an installation image for the s/w Windows 7 that I activated?
Thanks for your help.
For 5 years, Microsoft made it fairly easy for users of the Windows 7 operating system to get reinstall media. If you have lost your support disc or installation retail collection; either it has been damaged or defective; You can download a copy of the edition that you have licensed from a membership site called Digital River. More recently, Microsoft ended the availability to reinstall media that you can download as a. File ISO in Digital River, which is a digital reproduction of an optical disc.
It was particularly convenient for people who could not easily get the manufacturer's recovery media, did not want to pay the fees required to get or preferred a clean configuration without the software packaged manufacturers or even a recovery partition does not work. It's easy to use, all you had to do was reinstall and reactivate using the product key located on the certificate of authenticity and download all the drivers on the manufacturers website.
Given that this option is no longer available, what are your options? See the article for more details:
How to: What are my options for Windows 7 reinstall media?
Make sure you scroll down and read the section:
What to do if you cannot get your manufacturer recovery media, refuse to use or to buy it or the Microsoft Software Recovery Website does not work?

How to reinstall Windows 8 with the upgrade product key
I bought a Windows 7 laptop and then bought the upgrade of Windows 8. on the online store of Windows. The hard drive of the laptop has been altered somehow and both the partition of Windows 8 and Windows 7 recovery partition no longer works.
When I try to create a USB Windows 8 key install it does not accept the product key that I paid for. I can't reinstall Windows 7, so how can I reinstall Windows 8 on the laptop.
Hello
Try saving it in a an ISO Image... You can then put it on a flash or DVD later...
Make sure that you try to download Win 8 and not earn 8.1...
You will always have problems well... even if you manage to get the picture, it will take an existing operating system on the machine.
You may have to buy Win 7 media the manufacturer of machines, if they are still available...
The price is usually quite reasonable, less with most manufacturers charge about US $20

I'm unable to register to Win XP Media center edition with the new product key
I have 4 computers that are running Microsoft XP. The motherboard one running XP professional D846Q-6TBH4-F72DX-FD3HR-D4X96 is dead so I bought a new computer. This computer that I use as my main computer uses Windows XP Media Center Edition. When I built it a mother of mother Intel many years ago, I bought 2 copies of the operating system where a computer is dead. The one I use now is xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-KQ39J. When I tried to save my other disks xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-J6P9G for my new computer, I learned that I could no longer buy a computer with Windows XP. I bought this year and would like to register now. I replaces legally purchased by another Windows XP operating systems. How do I do that?First remove your product keys of this post as everyone can see them. Then try the activation of the phone.
