It of possible to remove only the plastic of the keyboard keys.

Then you can try using a vacuum cleaner and could thoroughly clean dust and debris from the keyboard.

  • Satellite L350-24U: how to clean the keyboard after having poured orange juice

    Hello out there.
I spilled my L350-24U with Orange juice.
    Now, I have 4 keys to self-retaining :-(

Can someone tell me how to clean the keyboard without damaging the laptop?

    Thanks in advance.

Hmm, it's still a stupid situation
Usually you can remove the keyboard of the laptop very easily.
The keyboard is fixed with screws hidden under thin plastic cover near the line of F1 - F12 key.

If you would remove plastic this cover then you would be able to remove the screws as well. Then you could lift the keyboard carefully and could disconnect the flat cable of the keyboard and the motherboard.

Notes; two small latches on both sides of the connector must be moved in order to disconnect the cable.

Then you could remove the keyboard and could clean it with a damp lint.
PS: the caps can be removed too.
But be very careful. You must raise the CAP to get it for free.

  • Satellite A305 - how to clean the keyboard after juice spills

    Hey guys,.

I had a the sSatellite series A305 an i could not find discussions on this exactly.
Basically whats up's had one incident minor orange juice on the left side of the keyboard thankfully not a lot of juice to all minor.
I managed to clean most on the surface. And had to work it's good enough to get out of the speaker box.

However, some of the keys are a bit of stick now, i wondered if there are techniques to withdraw safely on that I must do before I try to block these keys. Hmm pressing on enter appear... in any case...

I had one of these laptops before a few months ago, but one of the keys is broken somehow, after that, I got a little worried because I had to basically return it and get another laptop from work. If im sure it was a defective key with the last one I was not playing with keys, but I'm not sure how sustainable this is. Also this will probably also help to learn how to clean the keyboard, theres a bit of a dust and grump under the space bar which has been botherin me an i have no idea how to remove one get clean the dirt below.

I'll check this post when I wake up in the morning. If you know the techniques of hair removal good explain please, I'm not very good with directions so patient with me.

    Hello

To be honest, you will never be able to clean the keyboard. Break down the water is maybe not so bad, but the juice is sticky and can not be cleaned properly.
I'm afraid that you need a new keyboard. :(

Could someone tell me how can I find out what kind of driver I need and where do you get them from? Win XP SP2 installation would install one of these drivers?

Any help at all would be much appreciated...

    Thank you all...

I have the same problem. I just need the drivers for the Ethernet controller and a PCI device. I guess that the PCI device is the wireless card.
I tried all the drivers on the Toshiba site, but none seems not to work.

    Bravo for your time.

    Hello

Sounds a little like the Direct3D are not enabled in you the graphics settings.

Please, start the DirectX using the dxdiag command and turn on all the 3D settings.

In addition, it would be advisable to delete the installed 3D poker game and then reinstall it again. This should contribute to reconfigure the game graphics settings that are needed to run the game properly.

  • Express on a Satellite M115-S3094 media player controls

I have a Toshiba Satellite m115-s3094 notebook. It came with the express media player feature. It worked when I ordered my playlist in windows media player 11.

Today, the controls do not work at all.
The two buttons above the controls (Internet and Media player) are fine, but I can't control the media player with the express media player controls.

I've switched back to wmp 10, but I can't control it yet. I don't know if the express media player controls can control Media Center or not because I never tried to use it in media center, but the controls don't work not in media center either.

I use a lot of these controls, if anyone can tell me how I can solve this problem.

    @ Gethsemane
Yes, you must use the drivers and the CD of tools & utilities applications delivered. You need all if you want to use all the features of Toshiba laptop.

Have you received a recovery CD? This CD contains the operating system image that contains all the drivers, tools and additional software. Just starting this announcement from CD, you will get full functional OS.

  • Satellite M115-S3094: no sound on internet

I've disabled the sound driver on my laptop, then allowed him. I have sound if I play a CD or computer laptop itself but not of her on the internet.
    It's a Satellite M115-S3094 running Win 7. Any suggestions?

    Thank you

    > I don't have sound if I play a CD or computer laptop itself but not of her on the internet.
This means that its driver is OK and it s installed.
I think that the wave volume control has been disabled or set to the lowest level

Go to control panel-> sound-> playback control and check the volume level for all devices placed in the reading tab

PS: the Read tab you must enable "hidden devices" and "disabled devices" by right-clicking and by checking options...

  • Satellite M115-S3094 freezes after RAM upgrade

    Hello

    I just added Corsair - 2 x 2 GB 200 PIN SODIMM DDR2 667 mhz memory to my laptop Satellite M115-S3094.

Earlier I had 512 MB included with the laptop. The problem is that sometimes the computer starts and freeezes, none of the buttons work and I have to hold the button for 10 seconds to turn off and restart the computer. Sometimes I restart 2-3 times until it works.

If there is any problem after commissioning, then I find myself using the laptop for hours like now and I won't have any problem until I restart.
This all started when I upgrded memory. I tried to re install and it did not help.

I would appreciate any help from anyone who has faced such a problem. I also have windows xp home edition.

On the casablenca system, it shows 4 GB but used is only 2 GB. I even deleted one of the sticks, but I still have the same problem.

    Hello

I think that the problem is without a doubt for new modules of memory installed
Maybe the modules aren't 100% compatible or failed modules

I guess the laptop ran correctly with the old module of RAM.
This would confirm my hypothesis and I think you should test the specifications with the other s RAM

  • Strange problem with Toshiba Express Media Player on Satellite M115-S3094

I am facing a strange problem in my Toshiba M115-S3094, which has been pre-installed with Windows XP Media Center edition and which also had the Toshiba Express Media Player.

I had already done a clean install of Vista on it, and then I decided to go back to XP with my recovery DVDs. I did the same procedures of first installation Express Media Player to backup (that I did when I bought the laptop) and then installing Windows XP DVD de Toshiba Recovery XP.

    The steps included:
1 deleted recovery Express media player disk partitions
    2. installed express media player
3 extracted Xp Recovery DVD, by selecting 'Recover without changing the Partitions' (there is no expert mode)

Everything was fine (i.e. installation)... But now, after the turning off my laptop I press the Express Media Center button, the logo "Express Media Player" appears on the screen after loading of closures of laptop for 5 seconds.

I tried to open it again and again, but the logo is displayed for 5 seconds and then my laptop stop...

Laptop works fine when I connect to windows by pressing the power button / stop.

Can someone help me on this strange question... ?

    Hello

The whole story is a bit confusing
First of all, I would like to know if your laptop is already preinstalled with the Media Express Player and if you were able to use it on your laptop in the past.

    Now something about the Express Media Player installation;
In order to use the media functions Express the Mediaplayer Express Recovery CD must be performed before performing the recovery from the recovery DVD-ROM products.

In addition, on the HARD drive should at least 150-200 MB of free space available.
This free space must be on the end of the HARD drive and there must be unallocated. To get these free space on party products 3rd HARD drive should be used as Partitions Magic 8.

I m not 100% sure that on error ID system badly but maybe it corresponds to the DMI evil information stored on the motherboard. If we're not DMI, you will not be able to reinstall Express Media player using the recovery media express CD.
In the DMI must be set properly the manufacturing: Toshiba, product name: for example by Satellite M115-S30

Finally and most importantly, I found this thread useful forum on the Media Express recovery procedure:

  • Fatal error of TOSHIBA Power Saver 0x51A on Satellite M115-S3094

    Hello

By the subject, that's the problem. Unfortunately, my computer which is Toshiba M115-S3094 has just recently a fatal error with the Toshiba Power Saver program like 3 days ago. The Toshiba Power Saver not only does not want to work, but it is even more present in the taskbar. First, I went to the properties to be able to restore the program, but nothing helped.

Then I tried to uninstall and then reinstall the program, and he always gave me the same problem with the error: the program ends. Error fatal 0x51A. Right now, my laptop does not on the mode of power supply Toshiba but on common Windows system, such as the presentation or the laptop.

So I need help to restore the Toshiba Power Saver. I run Toshiba M115-S3094 with Windows Media Center Edition.

    Hello

Satellite M115 seems to be a Toshiba laptop because of the 5 at the end of the number.
In this case, you must use the Toshiba on the Toshiba site energy saving us. Did you?

Maybe you used the right utility electricity saver, so possibly that some registry or system files keys are damage in this case install the new OS for the Toshiba Recovery CD would be desirable.

In very rare cases, the battery of your PC may stop to accept a charge, i.e., the battery no longer works and is no longer supplying power to the computer. To minimize the risk of ever face this problem, we strongly recommend that you download and install the latest version of the BIOS by clicking on the "Downloads" link that will appear when you have finished reading the news of support.

Given that I had intermittent battery problems, I thought I would update the bios to version 1.80.
After the flash system says that it needs to restart. When it restarts the power light is on, but there is no video or post.

I could do to fix this?

Any help with this is greatly appreciated,

    Eric

    Hello guys

The detailed specification of the Satellite M115 series product page said that this laptop was equipped with the Toshiba Software v.92.

Anyway, the laptop was already equipped with a modem and I doubt that you could install an extra.
