In my MacBook Pro, it has the BlueTooth device and I would like to use to synchronize with my E71 Nokia with Nokia PC Suite on XP.

However, when I turn directly on Apple BlueTooth USB Host Controller on VMWare, XP cannot connect it as there is no driver.

I installed VMware Tools, but looks like it does not BlueTooth driver. If so, should I then allow VMWare XP install the Apple Blue tooth?

    Hello

So that the device bluetooth, webcam iSight, IR receiver and card internal memory to your Macbook Pro to work in your comments, you will need to install the boot camp drivers in your virtual machine.

You can find the drivers on your OS X original installation DVD.

After that, you can connect to these devices as if they were of USB devices.

Your virtual machine should not be a boot camp VM for this to work, it's just that the drivers you need must be installed if your VM is a version of boot camp windows.

  • It is possible (and useful) to upgrade my Macbook Pro 2011 (early)?

My Macbook Pro 2011 (start) 13 "has served me very well. I took the approach to resist many updates over the past 1.5 years).

However, in the last 6 weeks, it really began to slow down. I'm not too keen on the storage in the Macbook Pro 2015 options so not sure I want to buy immediately. I have never tried to upgrade the macbook - so I don't know how easy/possible/useful it is to do. Here is my card... can someone tell me if this can be improved and if so, if she's worth ($-wise)?

    Intel Core i7 2.7 GHz

    4 GB 1333 MHz DDR3

    Intel HD Graphics 3000 384

    Free GB 498 296 GB

Contains 2 memory slots, which each accept a DDR3 1333 MHz memory bar. Each unit already has 2 GB.

No game - I use it mainly for work (freelance marketing/communication - writing, presentations, artistic director) and the House (photos/home movies, internet, backup of the device).

Slow down especially occurs in switching between programs, using products MS - sometimes opening and closing old/new docs. Internet connectivity usually ok but slow switching between windows in Safari.

Any suggestions, help would be very appreciated. I want to take a decision quickly before it begins to die.

Is it possible to power (charge) my MacBook Pro 2011 USB port?  I had the case where I forgot my card (or used my MacBook more than expected) and he should be charged.  Since normally the USB provides power, I didn't connect it to a power outlet (via adapter).

I am running OSX El Capitan.

  • Memory - Macbook Pro 2011

    Help, please! I have a MacBook Pro 13 inch end 2011. I want to upgrade the memory of 4 GB (2 x 2 GB) to 16GB (2 x 8 GB).

Can I buy 16GB and they say it's for the MacBook Pro 2011, but it says on the site of Apple 8GB maximum memory.

Everyone is running 16GB and it works fine?

I upgraded to El Capitan, and my mac seems slower.

Back in 2011 8 GB SODIMM costs $1000 + if they still existed.  Apple tested the SODIMM 4 GB at reasonable price and never reviewed the hardware older after 8 GB SODIMM fell to $50.

I run 16 GB Crucial in my MBP 2011 very well.  Crucial or OWC (macsales.com) sell RAM reliable and provide guarantees for life.

  • In order to get updates of Firefox, I need to install El Capitan.  El Capitan work well on a MacBook Pro 2011?

Have a 2011 MacBook Pro, just received a message from Firefox saying that they support is more Yosemite 10.10.5 in a few months (updates, security updates etc.) and I need to improve my ios.  Question... are there problems with El Capitan on a MacBook Pro 2011?  Thank you

not that I've heard of. You will need to make sure that you have at least 4 GB of ram on board, except that you should be good to go. Log in the App store, grab a copy and follow the instructions on the screen. You may need to reboot at least once...

    Good luck

is it because of power problems?

Take it back to the Apple Store and ask them to check it out. It should be under warranty. Bring the MBP along too. It sounds like there might be a problem with it.

I have a Macbook pro (2011 model). It gets stuck on the start screen on to half way through commissioning. This happens whenever the mac turns on. The problem is solved when I reinstall Yosemite to boot to Recovery Mode disk utility. However, the next time you start, the startup process is blocked to halfway to new (on the screen with the toolbar and the status of apple). I want a more permanent solution to reinstall the operating system every time. Would appreciate someone's suggestions and thanks in advance.

    Replace your hard drive.

You have a backup of trust? If not, buy a disc of exterrnal for that as well.

The progress bar from the left end at the beginning of the commissioning indicates that your drive has been so damaged, it could not be mounted. Five minutes of progress bar is shown as it does the equivalent of disk utility (ERD [Directory]). If you have reinstalled several times and the problem is not fixed, your drive is in solid form.

  • How to Speed Up my MacBook Pro 2011... ?

I know the PC no need to defragment... (and has been a while since I had a PC...) But assuming that slow, long time loading with a MacBook Pro should be similar?  I am an artist, workshops and have used my laptop to interface and connect frame PowerPoint presentations, PDF files to the spotlight (rarely)... and have Creative Suite and do lot of work of art, including some digital painting, lots of photos of my paintings and so on.  It has been my workhorse.  I regularly save my large picture and video files to a few Seagate external drives, to keep the memory on the MacBook, as you'll see in my store that I post below.

Creation of new software, operating systems, I know that it is inevitable that my machine will become obsolete, but functionally obsolete or slow is one thing, not being not able to download the latest bells and whistles is another.

All of the suggestions.  I have a former student who took his MacBook Pro to a one hour by car guy, who would have been cleaned and accelerated his.  The idea of falling for someone, well... before I do that I want to know if it's legitimate or recommended?  My operations work all... but just that there are some lag, latency well sometimes serious.  I have several times now, I had to force the stop to get the little ball stops with no happening of the operation and the thing command option ESC doesn't seem to always want to come to force a program application to close.

Here's the low down on my system...

    2011

    10.7.5 lion

2 GHz Intel Core i7 processor

    Memory - 4 GB 1333 MHz DDR3

(memory 2 slots 2 GB each)

    total of 4 carrots

Storage, I show 396,36 GB free on 499,25 possible GB

    my screen is 15.4 '' (1680 x 1050) "

Any suggestion would be appreciated... Thank you

Do not download stuck in a Windows mentality.  The HARD drive is not a Defrag.  OSX tends to take care of himself.

There are two changes of material, that you can do to improve the performance of your Mac.  A 201ll MBP can accept up to 16 GB of RAM.  If this isn't the case, 16 GB RAM, install at least 8 GB.  The best sources of RAM compatible Macs are OWC and Crucial.

Even better is to install an SSD.  Start and stop times will be considerably reduced and when you work on a resources intensive applications you will be rewarded with a much better response and duration of treatment.  As with RAM, OWC and Crucial SSD you are the best solution.  Avoid Samsung, too many complaints with them.

If you download and view a report of Etrecheck, perhaps, we can see some software problems that may slow you down:

  • Snow Leopard to El Capitan on Macbook pro 2011

    Hello world

I run a 2011 Macbook pro under Snow Leopard and need to update to El Capitan because of my iPhone 5 that runs on iOs 9.
    Question?

Should I upgrade to El Capitan or keep Snow Leopard?
Is anyone doing this update already on a similar mac?
I heard that it would be possible to partition the drive and use the two Os x. My concern is that my macbook pro would be slower, it works perfectly fine at the time or perhaps the risk of overheating due to the upgrade?
And of course, I could lose valuable software like Xpress, my Adobe CS5...

Sorry for the many questions but I have not found answers on the forum yet.
    Thanks in advance.

    Florian

    (1) keep SL, but use El Capitan on the same drive or on an external boot disk.

    (2) others have, and it is possible.  I did not, but I'm a bit of a killjoy.

(3A) Yes, it is possible.  I would advise, so you can keep your software that will be useful if - I don't you am not mocking, I understand very well keep working software.

(3B), it may be a bit slower.  If you have less than 16 GB of RAM (you can run that much) the effect could be a little more pronounced.  If you only have 4 GB of RAM, you need to upgrade RAM first IMO.

(3 c) don't worry overheating.  Fan CPU/controls is sophisticated enough to keep things working, as long as you do not block the main back-vent.

    Path, you can follow:

(1A), you can partition using disk utility, but you should have a very good clone/backup before doing just in case a very rare event of bad things.  You also told us not how big your current drive is and how you have used.

(1B), you could get an external 2.5 drive and I suggest that you get an external Universal connection kit for $15 fix any bare drive.

    (2) you can download the installer from El Capitan, but out of the automatic "starts to install.  Then copy the installation application to another location of re - later use these packs to remove critical package "in-house" at the end of installation.

    (3) If you have a second drive of clone of your current system (my preferred method), you can upgrade this clone, while keeping intact internal drive and startup just externally for iPhone operations.

  • How to format macbook pro

I have the MacBook Pro 13 "early 2011 model, which is now extremely slow. Can I switch from 4 GB to 8 GB ram?

The HDD is 320, but the news system occupies about 230 GB. I need to format the mac and install new OSX. I don't need all the files from the hard drive. Can anyone suggest a tutorial how to do in this regard? Should I install an earlier version of Mac OS x or the new version?

Your Mac can accept 16 GB (2 x 8 GB). I would like to replace a strip of 2 GB with a key of 8 GB.

This place sells compatible memory and provides installation videos

    https://eShop.MacSales.com/shop/memory/Apple_MacBook_MacBook_Pro/upgrade/DDR3_13 33MHz_SDRAM

First of all, make sure that your Mac has the update of the EFI firmware that adds the recovery of the Internet

Computers that can be upgraded to use OS X Internet Recovery - Apple Support

What OSX version is now on the Mac?

Without know that I would be starting for the recovery of the Internet

On OS X Recovery - Apple Support

Now try the Command + Option + R key at the start of the OS X Internet Recovery*.

Format the startup disk, and then install Lion. So yo can update to EL Capitan (and possibly others depending on which version of OSX have been used on Mac / your ID)

This is the Office Mac Pro forum. I asked that your post moved to the forum of laptop MacBook Pro or another appropriate forum.
