How to connect old router to router new

I have a dvd player internet which can connect only through a wired connection but my router (verizon wi - fi modem) is in another room.
I was wondering how I can connect my old router (e2000) wirelessly to another room? Would I have set up as an access point?

I understand. I was wondering if the universal media without wire - ca connector will work also instead of using my old router?

In my view, a connector of ca wireless media would only connect to a router of AC. What you can do is to get a wireless bridge and put it up as a wireless adapter for your DVD player. The wireless bridge to connect wireless to your router and you can wire your DVD drive to the bridge. To do this, I recommend WES610N (Dual-Band N/entertainment deck with 4 switch ports) Linksys.

  • How do I connect the router without home computer

I bought my mother an Iphone and want it have WiFi instead of using 3 g data plan, but she doesn't have a computer at home at all. How to connect a router at home without a computer?

    Thank you!

It doesn't work quite like that.  You don't just to go out and buy a router and instantly have wifi.  It you will need to sign up with an ISP first.

Usually, it is best to first get your modem to the internet service provider and see what they give you.  The modem, they give you maybe already wifi and so you will not need to go out and buy a router.

  • P1102w printer: have new router and can not figure out how to print wireless at P1102w printer - he sees old router

I installed a new router (Netgear R6220) and cannot figure out how to get the P1102w printer to recognize the new router. It shows the former name of the router (Belkin.833) on the test page and displays the IP address configured by AutoIP rather than DHCP as the old router does. The computer is a desktop Dell Dimenstion about 3 years and use Windows 7. The router connects to the computer to the Internet.

Help - How to make the printer recognize and communicate with the new router? (The original installation instructions don't seem to work for me.)

I made an update of the firmware a few months ago and the currtent datecode is 20130703. Allowed to print from my Samsung S2 Tablet through the router.

    Here's what finally worked.

1 had to withdraw from old installation CD but Uninstall selected, so I completely shut down the computer. Guy at Best Buy said to "remove the device" but it was not enough.

    2. download install the latest software from the HP download site and ran it. (http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software13/COL32431/bi-80329-11/hp_LJP1100_P1560_P1600_Full_Solution-v20120831-50157036_SMO.exe)

3 downloaded another file and ran it. (Setup_IP4, [192_168_1_5], [NPI073E2D] _it) Not sure where I found this one, but the software prompted me to run.

Finally, everything works and all devices are wireless printing

  • Need help to connect the old Windows XP to new wireless router, please

The problem is probably that the Linksys E1200 is a wireless-N Router and your former Office no doubt has a wireless adapter that is only capable of wireless-G (or perhaps Wireless G and B).

Are adapters wireless in your other computers wireless - n?  If so, it perhaps is the reason why they could not connect to your old G of Netgear wireless router.

You can get a new wireless-N for the office adapter or configure the E1200 wireless g available.

  • How to connect the new laptop to the router?

Hello. Have the new netbook from toshiba. How can I connect my router to the main computer. I just connect a LAN cable, or is it more complicated than that? M

    Hello!

Normally it of enough if you connect the cable to the router. The rest depends on your network configuration you have. If you have a DHCP and DNS server you automatically get an address otherwise, you must choose an address.

    Good bye

Is what brand and model of printer?

I do not work unless your new router has the same SSID and password wireless as the old. Consult your printer documentation to find out how to handle the situation. For example, some Lexmark wireless printers have a program called Configuration Utility Wireless in the Lexmark folder under all programs on the start menu that is used to set up the printer when changes are made to the wireless network.

You can do it with an Ethernet cable (and on two Macs Ethernet ports) and use file sharing.  You can also connect via WiFi, but the transfer speed will be slower.  If both Mac connected to the Internet via a common router, you already have a link between two Macs.  Here is information on file sharing

There is also an automated tool called Migration Wizard, if duties are not suitable for your task

  • How to connect my PC to the router?

    New connection PC Help!

Hi, we are changing our IPS at Virgin (connection broadband) to the warehouse Utility (router wireless connection), but I can't work out how 'connect' my PC to the router. My wife has a laptop that is already running through the router. I tried the obvious options on the control panel to connect my PC, but have failed miserably! Any ideas, please!

    Hi Eagozz,

Connect the router to the computer by referring to the manufacturer's manual.

Try to connect to the available wireless network. Here are some articles that might help you to do the same thing:
  • How can I change the SSID on my wireless printer. He has my old router ID.

    HP Photosmart Plus B 209

    Windows Vista 64-bit

SSID was not found (I put it manually)

I select the printer and then he said: "(imprimante sélectionnée n'est pas présent, connectez l'imprimante & réessayer)"

Several times, I get the same message.

But my printer will work hooked up to the USB key.

My old router (Netgear) leaves so I bought a new.  Everything worked fine before.  Installed a new and my computer (HP laptop) worked well, went to use the printer... Finally uninstalled and installed, but would never go farthur than the above.  I don't know what to try more except that I printed the wireless network Test report and he tells me that the printer cannot find the wireless router.  I noticed that the SSID has the old name.   Also print the Page of Network Configuration of HP and see that he concluded l network, which is the new.  So, where can I change printer SSID?  I can't find where I can change it.

    Thank you

  • E4200 Lan LAN connection - how to access the router

Just bought the E4200 (for a home network) and have implemented as a Lan - Lan connection success. My Siemens Spreadstream DSL modem 6520 provided by Bell Aliant (is a wireless router / and is used as DHCP).  On the E4200 as per instruction changed the IP of E4200 address to 192.168.1.2, turned off the DHCP and NAT set to disabled. The E4200 is linked directly from the SpeedStream ethernet port to ports numbered on E4200 (not the internet port). The SpreedStream also feeds a Linksys switch with 16 ports (SD216).  When I connect a laptop through the new E4200 wirelesss network, I am able to see the rest of my network fine.

When I connect a PC with the CISCO software installed to one of the ports E4200 software cannot access router of the E4200. I type 198.168.1.2 as a web address, but cannot connect. My question is, after all, the background information is... How can I access my new router E4200 to make changes with my lan - lan configuration. I want to be able to add an external drive USD to USB port of the E4200 years set up the account of wireless of comments.

    Kind regards

    Kevin Reid

Change the address LAN IP of the E4200 to 192.168.2.2. Except, however, if 192.168.2.2 is part of the Siemens server DHCP address pool. Check which addresses IP Siemens allows to assign by using DHCP. The E4200 address must not be included.

If you have the latest firmware installed your E4200 takes the bridge mode. In bridge mode, you can use the E4200 as access point connecting with the internet port for your Siemens. This way you can also use network comments and other features that will not or do not fully work with the configuration that you have right now...

Yes you will need a printer USB cable like this.
