  Error 1203 is an interesting error code. Here's what I discovered on error 1203

  Solution:

  Print the test page to see how it's look and the way you're going.
  Be sure to not leave the debris of the klennex on the door panel.

  To reset the error code, unplug the power cord to the wall. Also remove the power brick to the back of the printer for 60 seconds. Then connect everything again.

  HP Photosmart desktop printers do not have an internal memory that stores digital images, copies or prints.  Make sure that all cards in the slot in front of camera has been removed.

  Usually scanning documents the independent scanner or All in one printer the method is very simple and even. Given your all - in a single 4500 printer, please follow the steps mentioned below:

  -Lift the cover of the printer.
  -Load the document that needs to be scanned.
  -Place the original face to print down on the corner front right of the scanner glass.
  -Close the lid and go to the scan button on the printer control panel. If you are able to find the scan button, press the same and follow on-screen instructions to scan your documents. If you are not able to find the scan button, continue with the steps below.
  -Go to start on your computer screen and right-click on an empty area of the screen.
  -Click on 'All the Apps' on the application toolbar, and then click the icon with the name of the printer.
  -In the printer software, click the icon 'Print & Scan'.
  -Select "search for a Document or a picture.
  -Select the type of analysis you want on the shortcut menu and click 'Scan '.
  -Select "Save" If you want to keep the application open for another scan, or select "Done" to exit the application.
  -Once the scan is saved, a Windows Explorer window opens in the directory where the analysis was saved.
