I want to save a copy of windows, all files updates which is for my PC, for after stop of the windows xp pro in favor Web site.

How can I do this because I have hardware that is not supported in any newer OS.

Hello

For benefits during the different phases, you can open the link below and choose "Support Life Cycle policy" on the left side.

http://support.Microsoft.com/lifecycle

For reference

http://support.Microsoft.com/lifecycle/?ln=en-GB&C2=1173

Integrate the end of Support Date Extended Support end date Service Pack Support end date
31/12/2001 14/04/2009 04/08/2014

If you reinstall Windows until the end of cycle, you will get the benefit as shown in the link. The best way is to download and save Service packs for XP that will cover more updates, or you can make a note of the update currently installed in the computer and manually download as backup.

You can not, for at least one (and two possible) reasons.

    1. it isn't clean if you want to have two computers, or you
you want to remove from the old computer and put it on the new. If
you want once, you can't do that - the rule is very clear: there
a copy (or a license) for each computer.

There is nothing new here. This is exactly the same rule that has been in
effect on all versions of Windows from at least with Windows 3.1.

    2. but even if you want it on a single and from uninstall
the old computer, you can't do it. It is because if it came with the
computer, it is an OEM version and the biggest drawback to he a
OEM version, is that its license it permanently binds to the first
It is installed on the computer. He can never legally be moved to another

Is it done in safe mode? Also how a clean uninstallation is completed?

MS says that an upgrade is not possible (since '23 programs, etc. need attention').

All advice appreciated. Best regards, Doug

Original title: how to uninstall Windows XP PRO, which is not listed in the control panel?

Of course, it is not in the control panel. This isn't how it works. You must reformat and perform a new installation of Windows 8.

Your computer will not be able to be upgraded. You must consult the computer manufacturer to see if there is even the disks available to this end for Windows 8. Probably not.

And, even if all the drivers were available, you always have to reinstall ALL your programs and data on the medium of origin or files and backup of the date.

I used my verson of Air Force free of windows xp for home when I was in the US Air Force as a 2E2.  I have more the instal XP disk or key.

In the past that I had updated since XP to Vista Ultimate 3 pack.  So improved from that of Windows 7 Ultimate.

Long story short, I left the Army Air and when moving apparently LOST those upgrade CD

About 3 years ago, I decided to build an another PC game from scratch and bought a computer 3 Windows 7 Ultimate installation, NOT an upgrade.

Because no windows 7 Ultimates were sold at the time I resorted to pay 350,00 USD or around that for a USB installation downloaded.  The people who sold me the download I put on a USB stick never ends by send me the actual key.  I'm at level my new computer Windows 10 Pro now and checked that the key was genuine before you install the update for windows 10.

The windows 7 ultimate key reported as checked and I was receiving all the Microsoft updates on this computer for the last 3 years.

I was running in the 80070005 error code when you try to run windows 10 update of Microsoft Update, so I decided to install from a USB key.  He was now working and install until after the first reboot when it has encountered an error and came home from my windows 7 Ultimate.

My problem now is that my windows 7 Ultimate has no restoration no longer points at ALL!  And now my windows says that it is not authentic!

I bought 2 x Windows 7 ultimate for autour almost 3pc in total 600 dollars!

I try to contact Microsoft, but in any case, was told to reinstall from upgrade Xp to vista, upgrade to win7, then switch to 10!

This is insane and now I am unable to do anything with my now NOT copy AUTHENTIC *!

Can someone at Microsoft Search my MS account and check please that I own these 6 installs, 3 upgrades and 3 costs to install the keys!

I can only find my machine key multi 7 fresh victory that I used 2 x so far on other computers, BUT I lost the installation software.

I don't know what other that spend another $ 200 on a windows installation package cost 10.  But after this recital Im updated to scrap Windows and looking for a more user-friendly and coherent user to the BONE.

IM limited to my handicap of 80% pay per month right now and don't really have an extra 200 bucks to pay and I ALREADY BOUGHT somany other keys!

My fear is that 3 fresh keys 7 win a scam and I hope that my information has not been compromised.

There is no pack of 3 licenses of Windows 7 Ultimate version, only Windows 7 Home Premium has been sold as a bunch of family.

  • How to install windows 7 pro, when I mistakenly installed the 32-bit version instead of the 64-bit version

I just installed windows 7 pro.  Unfortunately, by mistake I installed the 32-bit program on 64-bit program.  now that I try to install the 64-bit, I get the error message: "this installation disc is not compatible with your version of windows.  upgrade I need the disk to correct installation.  so he said to shut down your computer and reboot the installation disc. »

but when I reboot it just goes directly to the office.  would someone kindly give advice on how I overcame this misadventure?  I know that windows 7 pro on my computer, 32-bit version, but want windows 7 pro 64-bit version.  I still have the discs and software keys... Thank you.
Prior to this installation, I was running 32 bit XP pro

You'll need during cratch because there is no way to upgrade a 32 bit OS to a 64-bit version of Windows.

Check your BIOS to make sure that your DVD drive is set as the first boot device, and then save your settings (if a change was required) and get out.

With the 64-bit DVD in the DVD drive, restart the computer.

Choose the "Custom" option and then delete the existing system and Windows partitions, click next to continue the installation,

Since you enabled the OS using the 32-bit product key most likely you need to activate by phone this time.

I've upgraded to Windows 7 Pro... almost a year or two ago. Now, I bought a new laptop and it has 7 Home premium: cannot find my original key to the pro version: How can I transfer the key pro 7 to my new laptop?

Here are four utilities, which can display your product keys if they are still there:

Make sure that Windows 7 Professional is no longer in use on the old machine.

If the license for Windows 7 Professional, you have access to is a retail version update or complete, you can use the product key and the Express upgrade to Windows 7 Edition Home Premium to Windows 7 Professional. First of all, check that the edition of Windows 7, you are upgrading is already enabled (if it isn't, you will encounter complications and that you might start all by performing a clean installation). Click Start, type Anytime Upgrade, click on the option enter a key, enter the key of Windows 7 Professional on demand, click Next, wait while checking the key, accept the license agreement, click on upgrade, wait while the software upgrades, (it may take 10 minutes or more depending on the if updates are required) your computer restarts automatically, after the reboot, Windows 7 will notify you updating the computer, the computer will restart once more automatically and will be completed the upgrade, a window will appear notifying the upgrade was successful and your computer is ready to use, click Close, you should be upgraded to Windows 7 Professional your files, programs and settings retained.

You may need to reactivate by phone:

  • Windows 8 Pro update product key cannot be used to activate Windows after an installed cleaning

    Hi guys,.

I bought a Windows 8 Pro Upgrade and received the product key I used to download and run a clean install to my laptop using a USB Flash drive (format my HD then install). But now, in my new installed Windows 8, I can't use this product key to activate Windows as it says that the key is for an upgrade, not a clean install. I was not aware of this problem when I did the clean install. So, how can I activate my Windows now?

It! s a upgrade, you need to UPGRADE your existing system. New installation is not supported. I'm sorry.

    This is simply not true.

If you had a hardware problem and you will need to re - install Windows 8, you can do this by using installation media that the wizard allows you to create (or installation media that you ordered, if you chose to order discs).

If you don't have installation media, you can re - install your older version of Windows and rerun the upgrade.

Whatever it is, you will need the product key you received when you paid for Windows 8. If you choose to do a clean install of Windows 8 from the installation media, you will also need to call Customer Service for help activating your copy of Windows.

    Kind regards

    Hi Olivier,.

This problem is usually caused if you plug in external devices other than the mouse and keyboard, or if there is no program third party or apps that blocks the update settings. I would like to know some information about this problem so that we can help you further.

    1. have you connected external devices other than the mouse or keyboard?

2 have you tried to install/check updates after a reboot?

    3. what security software is installed on your computer?

I would suggest trying the following methods and check if it works for you.

    Method 1:

If you connect the external devices other than the keyboard and mouse, then try to disconnect if and check if you are able to install/check updates.

    Method 2:

Put the computer in a clean boot state, and check if the problem persists. Clean boot helps you disable all non-Microsoft services, so that we can check which third party/app program is causing this problem.

  • How to downgrade Windows 8 Pro - license keys

In order to exercise my rights to downgrade to Windows 8 Pro for Windows 7 Pro (or business Vista) I need a valid key of Windows 7 Pro. How can I get this key? When I called support license (number of times) I was told that I should use a key of an existing facility, or buy a new one. I explained that by using an existing key (assuming I had a) would have this key reported by Microsoft as invalid, and that buying a whole new license did not exercise my rights under the terms of the license. Time and time again support teams have been unable to provide a solution to this problem.

Looking at the document of conditions of licence, it says:
«Instead of using the Windows Pro 8 software, you can use one of the following versions: Windows 7 Professional or Windows Vista Business.»
    and:
"The manufacturer or installer, nor Microsoft is obliged to provide older versions to you."
My interpretation of this is that Microsoft (and the OEM) will grant the rights for the downgrade, but refuses to give the key needed to do.
How can I get a key to be able to exercise my right of demotion, as stated in the terms of the license?

Hi James, I have been informed by Microsoft that if you get a copy of Windows 7, even if it has been used or granted to another user you can load this copy and use the product key and then call Microsoft explaining you exercise your right of demotion and they will give you an authorization code for the product key that you give them.

What I was not able to do is to correctly load Windows 7, my PC comes up with an error. I wish Microsoft or could someone tell me the exact steps like those that Microsoft have highlighted is incorrect!
