How to create a shortcut on the desktop to msn

I'm doing new Vista loaded as user friendly than our previous XP.  Need help to create a shortcut on the desktop to msn, so everything we need to do is click the butterfly icon to connect.  Also need to know how to download the msn toolbar.  Thank you!

Hello

MSN toolbar
http://www.Microsoft.com/toolbar/

Loading of the toolbar can make the icon.

If you wish to make your homepage of MSN, and then when IE is started it will take you to MSN.

You can also make MSN Favorites page in IE - then go to your Favorites - right-click on the favorite MSN
then go to the desktop - Right Click and PASTE the SHORTCUT.

I hope this helps.

A longer sentence with a development could avoid this.

With nothing good to go on, my answer would be... you must create it.

Example: create a shortcut on the desktop of Windows Media Player...

Start button > all programs > scroll down the list to find Windows Media Player > right click it > click send to > select desktop (create shortcut).

A Windows Media Player shortcut is now on your desktop.

Just swipe their EXEs on the desktop. When you release the mouse button
    keys, choose "Create shortcut here."

I have something written down in Notepad and you want to create a link to that on the desktop

Not sure if I understand the problem. But here's a response to just about anything if you do a RIGHT CLICK you get a MENU list and there you should find "create shortcut". Make a LEFT CLICK and you should see it appear in the folder your in. Then if you RIGHT click ON the shortcut you can 'COPY' or 'CUT' and then do a RIGHT CLICK and 'PASTE' anywhere.

    Good luck

What kind of shortcut?  FWIW I just click right on my desk, new > shortcut and it gives then the shortcut Wizard:

    cmd.exe /c echo hi & pause

    Then he called Test.

It seems even easier that I remember XP.   For example do a right click of my new Test shortened reminds the complexity that someone just starting to create a shortcut could face.

So many steps required in Windows 7 that were not required before.  One is, I was not able to directly open the file manager to 'my documents', either by placing a shortcut on the taskbar setting enpoidsouen file manager it opens there automatically tasks.

Also, while I am, I wish you could put a shortcut to 'my computer' on the taskbar, as in former times.  It's a nuisance to the taskbar for these choices, in part because you cannot minimize the folder - must close completely.

I'm not sure what you're asking for 100%. You have a Windows Explorer icon on the taskbar? If you drag the "My Documents" folder to the taskbar it going bust in the icon WE. Then just right click the icon and choose 'My Documents'. If you find my answer helpful, please click the button "Vote as helpful"! Thank you! My Blog

  • How to add a shortcut on the desktop for streets & trips 2013 for windows 7

Just installed MS streets and trips 2013, I do not see anywhere how to send a shortcut on the desktop. Tried to do a right click on the programs, but this option is not started.

I don't have the application under test, but normally you right click on the exe programs (or registering in the program menu) and either "create shortcut" or "send to" and then "desktop".

If the options are not there, your office, do new right click - shortcut, find your exe file of programs (the actual file you want to run) and and we should end up with a shortcut on your desktop to your program. (hopefully :-))

    Hello

Thanks for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

According to the description, it seems that you want to create a shortcut to the Windows community on the desktop. Correct me if I misunderstood the question.

    (1) what do you mean by Windows community? Microsoft Community are you referring?

If so, I suggest you follow the steps to create a shortcut to the site and check out:

    (a) open the Web sites.

    (b) copy the link, right-click on the desktop and select new , and then click shortcut.

    (c) Paste the link in the shortened window then click Next and type a name for the shortcut.

    (d) click Finish.

I hope this helps. Try the above steps and get back to us for further assistance if you have questions about the Windows operating system. We will be happy to help you.

    Hello

Thank you for your update on the issue.

If I understand correctly, you are unable to open the shortcuts in internet Explorer on the desktop for a maximized window. Please, try the following steps and check if the problem persists.

    1. Right click on the shortcut on the desktop, and then click Properties.
    2. In the shortcut tab, change the option extended in the run section.
    3. Click OK.

Check if the problem persists. Please post back your results for assistance.
