How to determine how long a device in active?

This seems like it should be pretty simple, but I'm having a hard time finding a solution...

I wish I could have 2 timers on my user interface.  A single clock will display the total time, given that the application has started, and the second timer indicates the total time that a device is turned on (device will be turned on and off several times).  Determination of the total since the application started is a simple task:

startTime = Timer();

CVICALLBACK tlmTimerCallback() {}

totalTime = Timer() - startTime;    Time to elapse (mS)

}

However, I am having a hard time finding how to get a new beginning when the device is reactivated so that I can then add the new elapsed time enable both previous turn. Millisecond precision is nice, but a second accuracy would be nice too.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!!

I made a small application with CVI 8.5.1 for this purpose.

Please check the project attached and see if it answers your question.

  • How long will last the iPad 2?

    How do you know when your iPad is on its way?  It's the iPad 2, using the latest OS 9.2.1.  It is slow to respond and sometimes manifests 2-3 faucets to open an application.  Also the touch screen feature takes sometimes many faucets before he answers.  Restart does not help.

    Many users here still have a lot of success with their models of iPad 2 running the latest iOS. It is almost impossible to say with certainty how long a device will last, especially without knowing all the details on how you use every day. I start with really basic troubleshooting steps and see if that helps performance.

    Here are a few basics to try that could help.

    Go to settings > Safari > clear the history and data from the Web site

    Close all applications. Press the Home button twice quickly. You will see small glimpses of your applications recently used. Drag to the left to find the application you want to close. Swipe up on the preview of the application to close.

    Force reboot the device. No data is affected by this. To force the reboot your device, press and hold the two buttons of sleep/wake and home for at least ten seconds, until you see the Apple logo.

    Another thing that can help is to reset all settings. Try this. You won't lose any data, but most of the settings of the device will have to be entered again in the settings app. Settings > general > reset > reset all settings.

    If all else fails, restore the iOS software. Backup your iPad before you restore, and then restore the backup when you are finished. If this doesn't always help, restore your iPad like new and all over again. Most bought content can be downloaded again free of charge as long as you use the same ID Apple and as long as the content is always available in the store.

    There is a video on how to do it here:

    Note that it uses 'gpedit', so it will apply to XP Pro and not XP Home machine.

    I have create a folio with DPS proffesional multi app. I published my second folio, and although in my DPS builter, published ad is marked it does not appear on devices. Anyone know how long it takes until a folio published is available on devices? Thank you!

    Folio name in the Folio producer and Folio Builder Panel, but it does not appear in the Viewer. This cannot be the issue.

    The name of the Publication appears in the Library Viewer and in the navigation bar of the Viewer. However, if the name of the Publication is used to all folios in an application, the name of the Publication is not displayed in the design library.

    Have you tried to update folio to folio producer? If not, you can try.

    How long normally takes to get to the restore or update the window when the need to enter an Ipad handicapped?

    If you say that you see that you can not try your access code new for X number of minutes on your iPad, you will never see the restoration on the device window. You have to connect to iTunes to restore it, or use iCloud to erase it.

  • That means rendering and how long it takes it?

    Never seen the orange line that indicates my project must be made.  I noticed how slow my actions when I looked into this orange make the line.  I down loaded plug ins of Pixel film and used quite a bit in my project, (I don't know if they are 2D or 3D, or if it matters).  I read what means rendered, however, what this really means in simple terms?  This interpretation happens automatically and how long does it take.  Should I not use FCPX to allow this to happen?  I read that it takes a lot of space on my computer, I have to delete it or what?  My project is really a slide show with transitions and others to make the move.  I've never had this problem before, so I guess it's the complexity of decision-making in I use?  Thanks to anyone who can help me on this.

    When you apply effects to your clips the program must make additional calculations to determine how the pixels in the image will look.

    According to the quantity and the type of effect, this can be easier or harder to do. Sometimes he just can't play smoothly, if these calculations are too hard.

    Making it the means to make these calculations and store the results so it can read from that stored the file ("file make") rather than recalculate. Of course, if you do then your editing changes some of these files are more correct and a new made may be required and so on.

    Since the rendering of the file can be re-created at any time and take up a lot of space, it is perfectly feasible to delete (file-> Delete generated... The files).

    FCP X has rendered "background", which really means that he took advantage of breaks in editing to make things, without slowing down your editing. In practice, however, most of the people tend to turn off this feature, because it can usually play very well without rendering. You can turn off the coast and then manually make just the portions where there may be difficulties to play smoothly.

    Hello

    If the update process seems to have stalled, try the following steps, which can help to solve the problems at the latest to step "review".

    However, do not interrupt your iPhone or your watch if the process has already reached the stage of 'installation' (as reported by the watch app):

    • On your iPhone, close the watch application and all open applications:
      • Double-click the Home button, and then drag upward on each preview of the app.
    • Remove the magazine from your watch and restart both devices:
      • The two put together, and then restart your iPhone first.
      • To turn off your watch: press and hold the button side until you see the cursor off the power; slide it to turn off;
      • To reactivate: press and hold the side button until you see the Apple logo.
    • Replace your watch on the charger, keep your iPhone connected to the power supply and try to update again by following the instructions here:
  • Limit how often a device has access to my wifi

    Is it possible to limit a MAC address can be on my network every day how long?

    I know how to activate time slots, but

    (1) I am more concerned that when total time

    (2) if I does not limit access to certain areas of the hour of the day, my router will let the device continue past the breakpoint, as long as it is connected and stay connected before the breakpoint.

    Hello @Davin,

    Welcome to the community!

    To answer your question, there is no way to limit the time and a specific MAC address.

    You will need to manually to allow or block a specific MAC address on your favorite period.

    > I have new a210 16f (1 week) with win Vista and I can use only 1h30min

    Yes, that's correct. You do not have a battery performance as on commercial machines like Portege and Tecra.
    The A210 series is a portable high-end with a CPU and GPU devices stronger!
    These devices require a lot of power!

    Please don t forget the fact that Vista eat resources of the laptop! This OS needs more power GPU and CPU as the OS s early.
    That's why with pre-installed XP notebooks run longer on battery for laptop with Vista OS.

  • How long should a computer be connected to the internet for activity at work?

    I have the laptop of my son with a nonadministrator account set up in family safety.  My son rarely connected to internet (no wireless).  When it connects, it's usually to print her homework.  I know it's a network activity, but very little.  Family safety always reports that there is no activity (web, application, etc.).  I tested his account and I know that it works correctly.  My hunch is that it is not stay connected long enough for that follow-up activity to work right.  Please notify.  I have a similar situation with my daughter, but she spends a little more time on the internet.  His reports seem to be more accurate than my son.

    Hi JTB_GP,

    Security for the family needs a consistent internet connection to make it work properly. The parental control client relies heavily on this so that the settings of the site and the activity on the computer are sent to both ends. Since your son is rarely connected to internet, settings and information from both ends cannot be synchronized properly. We are unable to determine how long you must be connected to internet for the parental controls work properly.

    Thank you!

  • Exactly how long did take to create Microsoft Corporation.

    I am doing a project on Microsoft, and I need to know exactly how long it took to create Microsoft Corporation.

    I have no answer to this question. To get a valid answer, you need to be much more specific about what you want to know. For example, you want to know the long time it took the legislation that set up Microsoft as a Corporastion, a body of law, not the formalities of the body deliberative and be proclaimed into law?

    You will also need to do research to determine who ask. Try to look at the MS business directory, locate a person and contact their office. In my eaperience, they are useful amazingle.

    Happy to help with such things, but I don't think that someone here will actually do your homework for you.
