How to determine which service pack of Windows I have?
I'm just curious as to how where to find service pack windows vista I use. In my hp laptop when I look in
system in the Control Panel, he said the pack he uses. I did it in the dell desktop, but it doesn't have the information
in the information window.
Hello MonteQO,
Please see the information from Microsoft on how to determine the operating system that you have installed.
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/help/which-version-of-the-Windows-operating-system-am-i-running
If the system page does not list a Service pack version number, you don't have a service pack installed on this computer.
I hope this helps answer your question.

Unable to download the Service Pack in Windows XP
I have Windows XP and download problems. It has been said that I have service pack 2 and service pack 3 required. can anyone help?
Original title: Windows XP
If you have XP service pack 2, you definitely need to service pack 3, but that may or may not address any problem you have.
What are you are experiencing download problems and how this disorder manifests? If you get an error message, please provide the full text without paraphrase.
Windows Update no longer works until you have service pack 3 installed.
To determine which service pack you have
- Hold down the Windows key and press the Pause break button (or right click on desktop and select properties)
- Examine what is listed in the system section on your service pack level
- Note your type of processor in the computer section
Assuming that you already have service pack 2, read this first-->
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/950717
If your PC is a HP Pavilion and Presario, Media Center and has a processor AMD (see above), you must install this hotfix before installing SP3-->
http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?CC=UK&LC=en&DLC=en&softwareitem=PV-60484-2
Download service pack 3 here--> http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=24
(ignore the warning on the subject of "it professionals and developers downloading and installing on multiple computers on a network"-which was written when it was still possible to get through Windows Update XP sp3)

How can I download service pack 1A
original title: How can I download service pack 1a for my computer to install on the laptop got for her grandchildren
bought 2 varbook computers cell phones of our elementary for her grandchildren when they are home, I installed XP but I am unable to download SP - 1, the server keeps timing out.how can I download it to my computer it can install on the varbooks?
Jump SP1a and go directly to the SP2:
http://www.Microsoft.com/en-US/Download/details.aspx?ID=28
The link for SP1a is for quick installation, which requires an internet connection on the computer that you are using it (it looks like DirectX Web install). You can go directly to SP2 without first having the SP1 (or 1A). Copy the file to a CD or a flash drive, and then copy it from there to your target PC and run it. Then, you can download and install SP3:
