  b. search for a file named "Seaport.exe" and change it to "Port old.exe" and delete all the files in this folder.

  c. remove all programs 'Windows Live Messenger' in the Control Panel Add/Remove Programs configuration. Restart the computer.

  I understand that you have a Photosmart 6510 you want to disable alerts of ink on. I will certainly do my best to help you with that!

  What you want to do is open your HP (in your Applications under Hewlett Packard) utility, and once it opens select your Photosmart and you should have a Message Center icon to open and then get a screen similar to the one below. Where do you see the red square on my screen you should see a settings button, and after clicking on what your screen should look like the picture below.

  

  What I would recommend, click View alerts to HP, and then choose to see only the errors, and in half less select Auto reject warns in 2 or 3 seconds, and then select the Middle option so that you will certainly see errors that come back.
