How to disable the pop up "Windows Media Player cannot download the information on the media... "after the extraction of a CD without activation of network connectivity.

When I copy a CD with Windows Media Player, I get the message pop up after the investigation period is over: "Windows Media Player cannot download the media for this CD information. The other titles, artist, and album will be identified as "Unknown" in your library. For best results, connect to the Internet or manually add media for CD information. »

I know that the message appears when I turn on the setting to allow WMP to connect to the internet to get information about the media, but I don't want WMP does. What I want is a button I can push on the pop-up that says "don't show this message again" (similar to the warnings seen in internet explore). How can I disable this pop-up window without activating the internet connection option.

In case you're wondering, the data from the internet are incompatible in the naming convention so when I rip an audio book, so I can listen to my mp3 player, I can't completely post-processing script because not all of the disks in a set have a coherent on the slopes or even name the disc etc. At least drives marked 'Unknown' is consistent and so easy to script for the reduction to a single MP3 file.

  • Implementation of the LACP Protocol in vDS without loss of network connectivity

    Hello

Situation: a 2 node Cluster esx with a vDS with 4 physical uplinks. VDS has 4 trade (management, 2 for vmotion
(and a PG for the vm network).

What are best practices to implement LACP without interruption to network connectivity?

I read about some problems remove some uplinks to an existing vDS. If someone does this?

    Best

    Alex

Here is a video I created using LACP with the VDS 5.1.

Configuration of LACP on a vSphere 5.1 Distributed Switch - YouTube

Like I said before, any time delete you an uplink it there is a risk of disruption of the network. You then create new distributed port groups that are needed.

    High level:

    1. Create new VDS
    2. Remove 2 uplinks from the former VDS (chance to drop ping)
    3. Add 2 uplinks to the new VDS
    4. Configure LACP on the new physical ports and VDS
    5. Create groups of port required on the new VDS
    6. Migrate virtual machines (chance to drop ping)

  • How to disable the charms to the point bar Windows 8.1

I have a new HP laptop with Windows 8.1. I HATE the charms bar. It is very annoying. I have disabled the function of the angle of the bar charms appears is more that if I drag the edges of the corner, however, it pop again randomly. I'll be typing along and it will just pop up, blocking everything I am.

I have absolutely no need of this bar of charms. In fact, the only thing that I used it for is to get to the option to disable them. However, on this laptop, which is not completely disable them... I tried to go to control panel mouse to turn them off, but this option is not available. However, I don't think it's the mouse pad, forcing them to pop up even when... I'll be typing along, not even touch the carpet of mouse, and all of a sudden they're going to pop up.

What is the cause of this and how can I get rid of him? I'm getting rather desperate and sometimes feel compelled to throw this laptop out the window! I prefer my laptop HP Windows XP and has replaced only because XP is no longer supported... 8.1 window is one of the most frustrating systems, with that Microsoft has developed.

Please help me turn off these dang for good things!

UPDATE: I think I found the solution. I received this link a Microsoft Chat line employee. I followed the instructions and the charms seem to have disappeared... YAHOO...

UDATE UPDATE: lol... I posted this below, but repost here... The solution given by the employee of Microsoft Chat line did not work... Well, it worked for a day, I arrested him for the night, and when I turned it on in the morning, the charms were back with a vengeance... Seriously, worse than ever, jumping constantly.  It was as if they were really angry...

I went to Wally World and bought a $ 16 wireless mouse, which keeps the charm in the Bay... In fact, I think it's easier to use than the mousepad on my laptop anyway. I can use it on the arm of my chair on my laptop beside this mousepad, on a desktop (obviously), but the point being, unless I run the cursor at the very far right of my screen, the charms are hid...

I have a business Web site, and all working on it, the charms have been constantly popping up as I tried to add images and descriptions. He took me seriously out of my mind... Everything took me twice as long to add, I don't waste time... I worked on it this morning using the wireless mouse and the charms bar jumped not once...

Thank you Paul, but this link just tells me to do what I've already tried... When I tried to get responses on the Microsoft Windows site, it says that all laptops are different, and I would need to go the manufacturer of my laptop to tell me how to disable... So, I'm here, but nobody seems to know how to stop these things pretty darn... It is really ruining my experience with my new laptop... It's like the use of a laptop being shared with another person who constantly interrupts what I do...

OPPS... while I was writing that I expect a person on the microsoft online chat to connect so I could ask them how to disable the...

  • How to disable the annoying message "Printer cartridges no HP installed" on Windows 7?

How to disable the annoying message "Printer cartridges no HP installed" on Windows 7? I have a HP Officejet 6500 has more and there is a way to disable those annoying pop ups. First of all, why HP can't fix their software to display only 1 message. If I turn on my printer, I get about 5 popups when the 3-minute delay. Is - this embarrassing? You bet, I do not turn off my printer more to avoid these messages. There must be a registry entry that I can delete gladly. Ideas? If you are an employee of HP, please do not give the Conference on "genuine cartridges" and how you take care of your printer. I've had my printer for 7 years and never had a problem with cartridges not HP. They are all made in China.

This isn't a bad idea, but this does not resolve the issue. There are many complaints from customers about these annoying messages. All HP needs to do is to say to their developers to add a function to disable this feature. What is a marketing thing? Yes, it's a boring marketing question that should really be fixed. It's like Windows display constantly that your device drivers are not fully tested. Of course, when a customer buys a product at a lower price, they take this risk. I hate to be notified 365 days a year that my cartridges are not authentic.

How to disable the touchpad in windows 8 - Pavilion g6

    Welcome to the forum, Sally.

There are several ways to do this - method you choose may depend on what you need to accomplish.

    Follow a few ideas.

    • A double tap farm in the upper left corner of the touch pad if it off for a single session.

    Enable / disable

Control Panel > display icon > mouse > Settings of TouchPad > click on "enable TouchPad.

They continue parameters to install and configure the TouchPad as you like it...

    ==========================================================================

A method that works with the pilots 'old', it is a failure of session by session...

Make sure this setting is ON / CHECKED:

Control Panel > display icon > mice > TouchPad [ClickPad] settings >

() repeat) TouchPad settings (button) > click tapping >

    Click the shimmering blue wheel

In "box to Disable TouchPad settings".

CHECK "Double Tap to activate / disable the TouchPad.

In the 'Action in the upper left'

CHECK "Disable the TouchPad during a session.

    Close

    Ok

NOTE that, if it is available on your version, you can select to "turn off the TouchPad" - that's fine, unless something goes wrong.  You could get stuck without your USB mouse AND no way to return to the setting to activate the touchpad.  I don't know if I would use this setting.

    ======================================================================================

    Next...
Latest drivers (V16.x) have the ability to disable the TouchPad / click on the keypad with a setting on the main page 'Settings' when a USB mouse is used.  This is a very nice feature.

Control Panel > display icon > mice > TouchPad [ClickPad] settings >

CHECK "disable the pointing device internal when the external USB pointing device is attached.

If you want to be alerted and see a visual cue of disability >

TICK "Animated icon in the taskbar" >

and make sure you have your updated task bar notifications so you can see the view of the mouse.

    =====================================================

    I hope this helps!

Well since it is already assigned, and a mod has not moved this somehow already in the XP section:

  • How to disable the drop-in by a "standard user" in Windows Vista

I use Windows Vista and I have a standard user account. The Welcome Center appears each time I have windows to connect.  I uncheck the box in the lower left corner in the visitor centre, but it does not work.  He always keeps showing upwards. Also, I try to use regedit to remove the entry in the race, but surprisingly I was not allowed to delete the entry because I'm a standard user. So please tell me how to disable the reception centre for a standard user.

    Thank you very much.
    Jacky

    Hello Jackyhn,

You can make a registry change using the following key:

Method 1: Go to the Windows Vista registry editor

To disable Windows Vista Welcome Center with editing the registry:

    • Type regedit in Windows Vista start menu search box.
    • Highlight:
    • HKEY_CURRENT_USER, Software > Microsoft > Windows > CurrentVersion, Run.
    • Right-click on the WindowsWelcomeCenter key and select Delete.
      Reboot your system.

Change the settings of the REGISTRY can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the REGISTRY settings configuration can be solved. Changes to these settings are at your own risk.

If please reply back and let us know if this suggestion has helped.

    Sincerely,

    Marilyn
