How to disable the Toshiba Flash Cards pop up?

Hello!

I have a question:

When I move my mouse over the top edge of the screen, a series of shortcuts for the various parameters appear as mute, lock, power Plan, etc...

It's really boring when I watch movies, because I see a thin white line at the top... so I would like to know if I can somehow turn off these icons? so, they do not appear? I don't use them anyway then...

Here is a screenshot to make it easier for you if you do not understand my ramblings :)

Thank you!

Hello

You certainly talk about the Toshiba Flash cards and this feature can be disabled in;

Start-> all programs-> Toshiba-> Utilities-> settings for Flash cards.

Check this, and you will find the required option.

Good bye

You go to control panel, system maintenance, and then Device Manager. Scroll down and look for graphics cards, click the plus tab, click on the model of integrated graphics card you have. Then right click and a menu appears, select turn off and that's all. Then follow the instructions on your new graphics card. Good luck...

  • How to disable the "Insert smart card" dialog box keeps appearing after the connection?

Running Windows 7 64 bit on a laptop Dell which includes and integrated smart card reader. My configuration does not require a smart card to log on. I was wondering if the smart card reader has worked, I plugged a card chip used on another system. The driver is installed automatically, so it appears the drive works.

Now, whenever I log in, the "Insert smart card" dialog box is displayed. If I cancel or close the box, he continues to reappear every few seconds. How to disable this behavior?

Update: this is somehow connected to Outlook 2003. I have 4 different e-mail accounts. The "Insert smart card" box appears only when checking for my att account (yahoo), which is configured by using POP3.

Go to the Services.msc and check the settings for the smartcard (manual test) service.

The position of the OP, have been reported since a lot of this problem on the some notebooks Dell and HP. There are a few reports that a replacement of the motherboard fixed the problem and the other that the relocation of a certain connector (no mention of exaclly one that) solves the problem. Direct contact with the manufacturer of the laptop computer, Dell or HP wether, might be useful. Try a follow-up if you have already made contact.

  • Zbook Studio G3 HP: How to disable the integrated graphics card Intel and use the dedicated Nvidea graphics all the time?

    Dear all,

I have a HP zbook studio G3 laptop. I want to go to the Nvidia graphics card permanently.  I tried to disable graphics integrated in the Device Manager, uninstall the driver and allowing even the nvidea card chart of all profiles in the parameter 3D tap in the Nvidia configuration software. Non of them seems to work as the integrated graph is always in action and simple games could not be executed. I always keep in the option to high-performance mode, and the laptop is still connected. Should I manipulate the bios setup?

    Thanks in advance,

    Bezzi

I have the version non-studio of Zbook 15 G3 which has removable video card. I added the video card after purchase and found that it worked just right if I went into the BIOS and set it to use only the nVidia card. However, because yours is graphic switchable I don't know that you have this option. Have you looked at even the BIOS? Press ESC you turn on, then F10

  • What is the Toshiba Flash Cards / KeNotify Application controls?

    Hey,.

I did some research and it seems that both KeNotify.exe (Toshiba/Utilities) and TCrdMain.exe (Toshiba/Flashcards) are responsible for managing the Fn keys.

Could someone please explain what each did separately, and what features will loose if I remove them from the start?

    Thank you very much!

    Hello

To my knowledge, maps Flash (visual FN button row at the top of the screen) is displayed if one of the FN + F1 - F9 key combination would be in a hurry.
If you delete these two tools, I guess this Visual menu seems no more and you will lose the functionality of the FN button.

But you can test it just to test offers without deleting the two entries.
Search type msconfig. In msconfig, choose the Startup tab and uncheck here two exe files. Save the changes and restart the device.

If you want to retrieve these processes, go back to the Startup tab and activate the two process once more.

  • Can I disable the Tcrdmain.exe in msconfig - Toshiba Flash cards

I do not use the Toshiba Flash cards - I find them just a nuisance, so I kept of appearing them at the top of the screen. However, I note + + tcrdmain.exe is still running and eating memory. Is it safe to disable in msconfig?

    (I'm under Vista Business)

Why should t be is safe? ;)
You can set if something will go wrong.

    You can try it.
Disable this background process in msconfig one then boot the machine again.
After this short intervention, you can check in the Task Manager if the Tcrdmain.exe was disabled and that the laptop runs without problem.

  • Qosmio X 500 - 10W - how to uninstall Toshiba Flash Cards?

    Hello
Toshiba Flash Cards use 17536 Ko as resources and is not essential
How can I uninstall Toshiba Flash Cards?
    Thanks for the reply

    Hi valrick,

OK, let's talk about this difficult issue

According to the specifications the Qosmio X 500 - 10W is equipped with 4 GB memory DDR3. I think that s a lot and that s, only necessary if you play games or do a lot of video editing for example. In the contrary case, 2 GB would be enough for Windows 7.

So far so good. First of all can I ask you if you know why Toshiba Flash Cards are installed and which work they do?
Akuma has already written, they control the FN keys. If you install, your FN keys will not longer work. So I would not recommend this because the FN keys are important in my opinion.

Last but not least: do you really think 17.5 MB requires too many resources on the Qosmio X 500? ;)
I can t believe this because there are better optimizations that you can do like this important tool uninstall

  • Qosmio F50 - 108 - Toshiba Flash Cards will not work with Windows 7

    Hello

anyone tried to install Windows Seven? I tried.
Everything works fine (Wlan, Lan, sound, etc.), but one thing is unable to work on my laptop: Toshiba Flash Cards.
I installed the driver, and nothing happened...

Any idea to solve this problem? Because I usually used it in Vista.

Thank you and sorry for my English ;-)

    Hello

The Toshiba Flash Cards has been designed for Windows Vista only

Windows 7 is very similar to the Vista and many pilots could and would go with Windows 7, but in very rare cases certain tools would not fully compatible

The Toshiba Flash Cards is not a driver; It s a utility that seems to be is not compatible with Windows 7

    Good bye

I put t know why the message saying the Toshiba flash cards do not answer.
    Maybe a reinstall could help.
