  Well, you can If your serial number has been a Mac. The serial numbers are specific platform (Mac/Win).

  This issue is being considered, you would be 'turn off' on one of your previous computers (as you mentioned), then install on another.

  The code base of windows 7, vista, 8, 8.1 are all identical. They are all the same version. They are only point upgrades on the other (according to the information provided by Microsoft)

  This means that the chances are pretty good, if it works on vista or 7, it works on 8 or 8.1.

  The biggest differences are changes in the user interface in each version of windows, only bugfixes.

  That said, the .net code is being updated and it is possible that something written for version 8 will not be backward compatible.

  On another note, I haven't heard any complaint use CS6 on 8, so I'm pretty confident it will run. But like everything, there is always this possibility. (It was my warning, lol).

  You should see a prompt to "this software license. You can see on the screen of the trial.

  Click on that, you identify if requested, and then click the option "I have a serial number" or you may be able to do so directly.

  On my desk, I have the old menu system that I prefer no doubt because everything is in English and easy to see and search. For example, on the menu desktop there a Tools option where I can quickly erase my history and cache.

  But on my laptop, it's the new paradigm where several menu commands are hidden and difficult to find, therefore, I do not like this new design. I don't understand why Firefox made this change, when the old system was much better and more effective.

  Is there a way I can get the old system menu back on my laptop?

  2. nothing happened when I pressed the ALT key, the menu bar does not show upward and I'm frustrated. However, I kept trying, hold the ALT key and finally he appeared. I then checked the menu bar, and it seems as if it worked.

  You are allowed to 2 places, so if you have not used a second then your license number will still work.  However, you'll want to disable your old seat at some point.  Because you can't access the computer that crashed, you need to contact adobe.  See here:

  Although, if it was just your hard drive that crashed it should be OK, because it will recognize the motherboard and it will still count as the same 'seat'.

  If this is the case, the problem will be that hearing has lost touch with the audio device you have set for reading.  Go on Edition/Preferences/Audio hardware and set the device class for the type of pilot - probably your interface uses ASIO only a specialist one, or even if you use just the built in on your computer.  Then, go to the drop down menu to playback devices and select your sound card desired among the options on the list.  If the device does not appear on the list, you need to go to the menu of audio control for your operating system (Windows Audio control for Windows or the equivalent on Mac OS and re - select your interface as the default device.

  If however the other files play, chances are the header on the downloaded file is corrupt and does not give the information appropriate for the file.  It might be useful to re - download the file if the corruption happened on download, or else perhaps to analyze the file with something like «Identifier of Portable Audio»  If this is a .wav file, you can try to use the file/import/Raw data and play with the settings... even if it can take forever, if you don't have a good idea of the type of file.
