How to download Windows 7 on Vista Home premium (OEMAct)

I have an amd Athlon™ 64 x 2, memory 1024 MB

I tried to find the ios file to down load on a dvd and then upgrade and couldn't find the ios file.

I could find the pop up asking me to down load the iso file, but the location of the iso came not upward in the navigation drop-down menu.

I have a sticker on the side of the computer with key for Vista.  There are a number of keys so I don't know which is the key of Vista.  How many numbers in the Vista Keys?

I can say that the ios of drivers for windows 7 are not in the computer

How to go from vista to 7?

He did to recover my laptop a virus attached and there after I can't able to re instal Vista now on my laptop. What should do?

I tried several versions and spend hundreds of Dollars may with these technicians.

    Hello

There is no Windows Vista downloads available from Microsoft.

You can contact HP and ask them to send you a set of recovery disks.

They should do this for a small fee.

Some manufacturers have more available Vista recovery disks.

If this happens, you may need to try this instead:

You can also borrow and use a Microsoft Vista DVD, which contains the files for the different editions of Vista (Home Basic, Home Premium, Business and Ultimate) must be installed. The product key on your computer / Laptop box determines what Edition is installed.

Other manufacturers recovery DVDs are should not be used for this purpose.

And you need to know the version of 'bit' for Vista, as 32-bit and 64-bit editions come on different DVDs

  • Help! How can custom installation of Windows 7 from Vista Home Premium, I save my program files? Such as Microsoft Office, McAfee Internet Security etc?

    Hello
Having some difficulty understanding what it is I should do before installing a new upgrade of windows 7. I have the disk to upgrade, but discovered only today I now have to perform a customized installation because I'm upgrading from vista home premium to windows 7 Professional.

So, this means that all program etc. files must also be backed up as well as the usual save multimedia files, photos, etc..

HOW HOW HOW do I save my program files for example office microsoft, mcafee internet sicurity? Is it as simple as the copy on a CD/DVD-R?

    IM so confused, please help!

You cannot save programs and then copy them to another system.

You must reinstall them from the original media. Make sure you have all the license keys you need to reinstall before you start.

  • Minor problems with Windows Defender in Vista Home Premium 64...

Hi, I have a problem with the Defender, it seems that the program is updated, but when I open the 'color of program' Defender is orange instead of green.
To search for "new definitions", he asks, I'm taking this step and then the color is orange, so there must be something wrong with the program.

    There is no error code.

I use a HP Pavilion Elite with Vista Home Premium 64, and I use Microsoft Security Essentials such as AV and WF.

    Windows Update seems ok.

Can someone fill me on this one please.
    best regards Carlo

BTW; my native language is Dutch thanks for the effort...

You do have a problem that you have to worry.

Microsoft Security Essentials has its own integrated version of the defender and would normally disable Vista Defender.

If you continue to have problems with the Vista Defender, turn it off:

Install updates via Autopatcher it also fails
Run CheckSUR.exe, which ends, but solves nothing

Disabled the AV (Sophos) and do the updates - still fails
Did a reboot selective via MSCONFIG - always fails when you try
WU arrested and removed "C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution" - still does not work.
