  I just noticed a question posted by a person at a level 6-8, with more than 10 k points... and somehow the question wasn't form, standing that I expect in general that points up.  A quick glance suggests recently a large number of debates question raised and rare if no answering other questions.  I can't view the earlier story of how the points were won.  And most may indeed have been won answering the question on the other.  And somehow, I care little.  But is that what we are overemphasizing points for raising a thread that says: 'how to... '. » ?

  It's just a thought.  Maybe a confession that I sometimes pay a glance at the 'level' to answer questions; I am also aware that even the great guru can be in the "level 1"!

  Not necessarily by simply asking questions (Yes, some points are awarded, and lower levels of status do not require a lot of points to get through them), but it can also be that the person really is (it may be a surprise) marking answers as correct and useful, that rewards the further.

  So, Yes, a person can certainly win first levels quite easily by simply asking questions, as that shows they are involved, but does not necessarily mean that they are any kind of expert in the field.

  If you look at the profile of people and then move to their reputation, you can see how they earned their points; and if you see someone who appears to be games/abuse the system by simply stocks that give them points without really contributing, please feel free to raise them up to the admin who will take a look and deal with them if necessary.

  I'm curious to know what constitutes the 'users of the albums' list in each forum. Some time back someone congratulated me for making the list in the general forum of the database. I really don't pay attention and had not noticed. I know how the market rewards points live status live from beginner to guru, but this list seems to be somewhat different. After the program has been open for some time, when I try to save, the program blocks (the first recorded little perfectly fine, if not a little slowly).   Offers Dreamweaver templates and library items (both are features of DW who work locally).

  The web offers generically Server Side Includes (not a specific feature of DW, work server side, where the name)

  The downside of templates and library items, is that once you have updated the model or library item (code snippet) and then locally update all pages that exploit them, you then upload to the server all the pages that have changed. Could be hundreds of pages to download whenever you perform a single edition.

  Server Side Includes are much better. They are extracted from files that are "included" in the page on the server when the page is sent to the browser. Make a unique edition in a single file Include (for example your Sidebar). Download a tiny Include file. All pages in your Web site are instantly updated.

  SSIs are perfect for navbars, boxes, headers, footers, copyright notice, price lists etc. Any repetitive content that appears on several pages really.

  For me, SSIs changed the maintenance of the website of a dreaded chore (templates and library items) in a pleasure that I am happy to do it regularly.

  Whenever I change the cartridge of my Officejet Pro 8600, I get 2 windows pop up on some "HP Rewards" program:

  

  It's really annoying. I don't care about HP Rewards, I just want to print.

  Please tell me how I can uninstall or disable these windows.

  An option completely uninstall the HP software, then using the Apple HP printer drivers. Here are the steps if you want to try this:

  1. go in Applications/Hewlett Packard / then click on 'uninstall from HP.

  2. then click on "continue".

  3. put the device in the left pane highlighted.

  4 press and hold Ctrl + alt + command of the keyboard at the same time as you click on "Uninstall".

  5. Once you do this, you will see a pop-up that asks you if you want to uninstall all HP software. Please note that, in doing so, it will remove all other HP printers that you have also installed.

  6. click "continue" and wait for the program to finish.

  7. Once completed, restart your computer.

  Once the computer is back on, perform the following steps:

  CAUTION: This will delete all your printers.

  1. go to "System Preferences" and select "Print & Scan" or "print and Fax".

  2. a right click (or Ctrl + click) on the rectangle listing your printers, then select "Reset Printing System".

  Once you have reset the printing system, make sure that you have the newest HP driver package installed.

  You can do two ways. First, look for any HP Update available by clicking the Apple icon, then software updated. If there are updates available, they should appear here. However, if the printer is connected via USB, it won't show available updates. The other option is to download the drivers from the Apple site.

  You can download it here: http://support.apple.com/downloads/DL907/en_US/HPPrinterDrivers2.14.dmg

  Once you have downloaded the driver package and the installation is complete, you want to plug your printer in return (if you are using a USB connection).  After that the printer is reconnected, go into the settings to print under system preferences > print & scanning. To add the printer, click on the plus sign. You should see your printer listed here. If not, click on 'add the printer or Scanner. Click on the name of your printer, then click on "use:" box.  Make sure that tells the name of the printer and not AirPrint. If you use the wireless printer, make sure the printer ' type: ' is set to Hi or Hello multifunction. Click on 'Add' down in the lower right.

  This will add your printer to the latest HP help available by Apple printer driver. Let me know if this helps solve your problem or not. If it isn't, do let me know I'll see what I can do.
