Their Web site contains the code should have come printed on the slip with the laptop.  I have the portable computer box came in front of me as well as all documentation - there is absolutely nothing mentioning Intel AT, no code or something of the sort.

  Is this service AT something you have to pay extra for?

  I would suggest that Lenovo includes more information about Intel to with their Intel laptops that have Intel software pre-installed. I'm a professional yet found systray options from Intel to very confusing.

  There are different models of U500 on the market with different hardware and virtualization is dependent on the BIOS and CPU. Not all Core2Duo processors support Intel VT technology.

  So before you start a lengthy discussion which U500 model you exactly? Can you post the exact model number please?

  I think that it is true, UNLESS you have all documents to support your application. It is a technology, you want to use you need to buy or subscribe to it, you may have to pay annual fees too. I normally pay my property insurance, I don't trust anti-theft.

  I have a brand new X 220 i7 I really like - and I would like to keep to myself! :-)

  It is equipped with Intel Anti theft and I want to activate it.  As far as I understand, it takes some service provider to activate and this provider will keep track of the device and a pill 'kill' if I have to send the application.

  I contacted Lenovo to the Denmark, but they gave me a link to a company that provide some protection software.

  Does anyone know any Intel anti-fournisseur of flight in Denmark/Europe services?

  I googled a little bit and it seems that this unit was equipped with the 667 MHZ Celeron 575 Merom (2.00 GHz) CPU

  And I m 100% sure this CPU * DOESN T * support speed stage.

  To my knowledge, the use of Virtual PC 2007 does not require a virtual technology supported by the hardware (CPU).
  I have used Virtual PC and Virtual Machine on PC without the ability to VT.

  But you're right. Intel CORE2 DUO T7400(2.16GHZ) processor supports VT

  Press the power button and immediately press the ESC key to call the start menu. In the boot menu, press the F10 key to invoke the BIOS.

  In the BIOS, as shown in the following image, select the system Confioguration tab and then enable virtualization technology. Press F10 to select save changes and exit. Install VMWare Player.

  But I guess you need the nVidia Driver from the original graphics card.
  The Toshiba driver is changed for mobile use. It supports thermal protection that protects the GPU from damage.
  Drivers graphic originals don't support such function.

  One thing is strange to me. You ordered the WLAN card update? Technicians have tested the functionality of WLAN card? Did you send your laptop to the Toshiba authorized service partner?

  If the map is compatible and correctly installed, you should be able to activate the card by using the WLAN switch. Please try to reinstall the driver. You can find it on http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/wlan/

  One last thing: is your laptop preinstalled with Toshiba recovery image?

  I need to install the XP Mode and Virtual PC on my 220 portable x that uses Win7Pro as the operating system.  I believe that I need to enable hardware virtualization through the BIOS and I'm changing the BIOS setting but can't seem to find the right one.

  Strike F1 annoys me in the installation program, then "Config" and then "CPU" that does not show me an option to change it.  As part of the CPU, I only see options for "Core multi processing" and "HyperthreadingTech".

  I can't find anything specific while General searches or through Lenovo, nor is the manual useful.  Can anyone help?
