How to enable php on Mountain Lion 10.8.3

I used this method without problems up to 10.6

Just pulled up a new MacBook Pro with installed 10.8.3

I created a folder Sites lacking, and recreates it as "blessed".

I put a sample file to test later.

I need to access the list of files from localhost / ~ mycomputername so I can test it before downloading.

However, when I used the 'Go to Folder' to access the location of the file that I need to change which is: /etc/apache2/httpd.conf

and tried to remove the # in front of the PHP5 file, it won't let me save it even if I don't myself add READ/WRITE permissions for the file in the READ the INFORMATION box.

What a disaster!

How to activate it if I see my PHP files in my own browser before I download them?

This part works http://myname-computer.local/

But this is not localhost / ~ ComputerName

Apparently, the Apache server is enabled

I used the terminal to find the string to remove the #.

But it will not erase.

What I am doing wrong?

Supposedly, I would be able to access my files by navigating to the Sites folder I added after that I get PHP running.

I followed the instructions here:

http://osxdaily.com/2012/09/10/enable-PHP-Apache-Mac-OS-x/

The problem IS NOT RESOLVED, so I don't know why it is marked as such.

  • How to install CS4 on Mountain Lion successfully?

When you insert the disc 1 of Adobe CS4 and run the installation program, you will see a gray pop up screen "preparing for setup. Usually after this screen, you get to the selection screen usual what components to install as well as the prompt for the serial number. However, in some machines of Lion and Mountain Lion, CS4 will be glued to the gray screen "preparing for setup" and frozen at the last 7/8 bar. I note a disk partition mounted and disappear, but then again, it was a Lion. Lion mountain just refuse to load the selection screen for the installation.

Sorry, I know this is an old thread, but I came across the same problem, and my search brought me here. I finally understood the question. If you have tried to install and had the error of the AIR, and that you have downloaded the latest version of AIR as you are prompted to do so, and then you try to run Setup again, it will treat this as a custom installation. You have to scroll down through the programs on the right side of the window and Select the programs you want to install. Deselect Acrobat.com, Adobe AIR and Adobe Media Player (they can be downloaded separately later), but everything else selected, click "install". It will pass through the screen "Preparing for setup"- http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/installation-creative-suite-4-or.html

  • Re-download Mountain Lion?

How can I re - download Mountain Lion or should I?.  Currently, I run Snow Leopard 10.6.8 and iTunes 11.1.2 on a Mac Book Pro in early 2011.    I bought OS x Mountain Lion 10.8.2 back in 2012.  Only to find out that I could not use some software needed for work.  If I had uninstalled/downgraded.  I am now ready to update my OS.  Questions: a) how can I re - download previously purchased Cougar?  I find in my history of purchase on iTunes, but it does give me an option to download.  I have not received a disc.   (b) if I have or can I just buy an OS more recent Yosemite/El Capitan?  Thank you.

    purchase on iTunes history

iTunes or the App Store? It should be in the tab App Store purchases with a download option.

If you have never downloaded Mavericks or Yosemite, they are no longer available. El Capitan would give you the software up-to-date and secure.

One solution is to create a new partition (~ 30-50 GB), install the new OS, and 'test' it. Otherwise as/like it, you can then remove the partition. Make a backup before doing anything. By doing this, if you don't like it you don't go well the recovery process.

Open utility disk, select your hard drive (step 1), then the partition (step 2) tab and select the partition. Using of the / / / to the low blow it upwards (step 3) until the box the size decreases by about 50 GB. Select the newly created space and press the button (step 4). Name it something and choose Mac OS extended (journaled) format (step 5). Then click on the button apply (step 6). Download the installation program from the App Store and when it starts, point it to the new partition. You can make a copy of the installer out of the Applications folder to avoid having to re - download in the future. One time installed, go to System Preferences/Startup Disk, select the new partition and restart. Test now.

Hi all, I just upgraded to Yosemite of Mountain Lion. Virtually nothing would open esp all my applications Adobe CC (I am a designer, if it does not work!).

I followed some advice from brill to get back to the system of the original system OSX (which was Lion) fab, now how can I go back to Mountain Lion? I can buy it from Apple for USD29.99, but as Yosemite was nothing else that a headache I'm feeling a little stung from having to buy this upgrade. I didn't have to buy it in the first place, it was a free upgrade for me! Why, oh why have I improved! ?

  • How can I delete an old version of Lightroom? I use Mountain Lion on Mac.

    Hello

I upgrade to Lightroom 3 to 5 of Lightroom. It was no problem. My photos have been imported into Lightroom 5. But Lightroom 3 was not removed from my computer. How can I remove this old version in the right direction?

I use Mountain Lion on Mac.

    Thank you

I'm not a Mac user. But you remove Lightroom just as you would remove any other application from your system. If you purchased Lightroom 5 as an upgrade, it was probably know the serial number of your Lightroom 3. I suggest that you store that Lightroom 3 number somewhere, you will remember because it will be necessary if/when you decide to upgrade to a new version of Lightroom.

And, just to clarify, there is no interdependence between your Lightroom 5 and Lightroom 3. They are independent applications.

  • How to clear El Cap and return to Mountain Lion

    Hello

I need to ask for some advice, because Apple computers are still a little clumsy. I have a late 2012 27 "iMac, and I blindly put on day of Mountain Lion to El Capitan. It turns out that it doesn't play well with Pro Tools 11, and Avid has no intention to develop PT11 to do this. So, I would go back to Mountain Lion rather than pay for the upgrade to PT12 right now. But I don't want to spoil, so I need some advice and clarity, please.

I just finished the Time Machine backup of my system.

I noticed that in my apps, Mountain Lion is sitting there for download. Should I download as the first, or wait until I do a restore (it will always be there if I erase El Cap?)?

The most important thing, I said, I have to do a 'CLEAN' of the Mountain Lion INSTALLATION.

Then, in what order should I do these things? Do the restoration ensures that it is an operation of "cleaning"?

    Any help much appreciated!

    Thank you!

  • How to get the latest tools of command line for Mountain Lion

    Hello community.

    I have a MacBook Pro withSoftware OS X 10.8.5 (12F2560)
It is according with Mountain Lion:

I use Homebrew, he requested updated command line tools

Now I'm on https://developer.apple.com/downloads/ and looking at Command Line Tools , the latest update for my OS version is April 2014 (see picture)

So I'm not able to do a new update. Given that my OS is old.

I just installed Xcode by https://developer.apple.com/downloads . And only used or needed for Homebrew.

What can I do to get a new update?

    Thank you.

Upgrade the operating system if you want to have access to latest updates.

Make sure your computer is compatible with Lion mountain, Mavericks, Yosemite, El Capitan.

To check the model number and hold the option/Alt hold, go to the Apple menu and select system information.

MacBook Pro (Mid/Late 2007 or newer) model number 3.1 or later version

    Your Mac needs:

Installation of OS X 10.6.8 or OS X Lion

2 GB or more of memory (more is better - minimum 4 GB seems to be the consensus)

8 GB or more of available space

Check to make sure that your applications are compatible. PowerPC applications are no longer supported after 10.6.

  • How to install (not updated) of my HP LaserJet 1020/1022 on Mountain Lion

    Hi guys,.

I am trying to install my HP LaserJet 1020 on my new Mountain Lion anyway I am not able to find a driver! HP web page to the specific address says I can "Refresh" this printer by using the Apple software update anyway I don't see any update or installation on it.

With the previous version of the operating system was possible to download a .dmg for HP LaserJet 1022. I tried to download and install the driver for Snow Leopard in any case I do not see any entry when I try to select a driver for my printer during the installation phase (the list contains only two very generic drivers for HP printers).

    Thanks for your time!

    Hello

The Laserjet 1020 officially is not compatible with Mountain Lion, however, try to use the following workaround:

Install the HP Printer Drivers 2.9 package by clicking on the download button below:

    http://support.Apple.com/kb/DL907

After completing the installation, go to System Preferences > print & fax.

Click on the sign more and select the printer.

If you still see a generic driver selected, click the menu drop-down use and then click Select printer software.

In the list, select the HP Laserjet 1022 and add the printer.

Now try printing using the configured queue.

    Kind regards

    Shlomi
