    • Do NOT remove the "personal data" when you uninstall your current version of Firefox, because this will remove all profile folders and you lose personal data such as bookmarks and passwords including data profiles created by other versions of Firefox.

Delete the program folder Firefox before installing newly downloaded copy of the Firefox installer.

    • (Windows 64 bit) "C:\Program Files (x 86) \Mozilla.

Your bookmarks and other personal data are stored in the Firefox profile folder and will not be affected by a uninstall and (re) install, but make sure that 'delete personal data' is NOT selected when you uninstall Firefox.

  • How 'Safe' is the Firefox browser?

    Dear Sirs:

I stumbled on the site of "horseshit" next to Microsoft than Microsoft Internet Explorer (MSIE) rates 4 / 4 rebuke then Firefox and Google Chrome browsers to 2.5 on 4 when it comes to browser Internet Security:

    http://www.yourbrowsermatters.com/#/browser-score

Personally, I can't believe how Microsoft can not admit they have security issues in Microsoft Internet Explorer. Do really think that the people who are stupid to take everything they say "fact"? They don't cheat me with their detritus 'smoke and mirrors '!

Internet Explorer offer even an automatic update feature at all. Microsoft has always been responsive is not Proactive when it comes to fix security holes in their software.

When you get an update of Internet Explorer, you HAVE to restart the computer. Not very friendly!

Microsoft seems to drag its ' feet when it comes to fix "Security vulnerabilities" in MSIE!

Every time I have start Firefox at home or work, Firefox checks the updates to version that takes into account things such as 'Security issues', 'Bugs' and new features then I am wise when there is an update available.

So, the truth is that Firefox handles fixing "Security vulnerabilities" and emits much better and much faster than Microsoft!

No Internet browser does rate of 100% on a secure scale, but I find that Firefox is closest to that note that MSIE will never be.

Firefox just came out with some excellent features well before the MSIE will never come out with them... Simple things like tabbed browsing took too long to add to Internet EXPLORER from Microsoft.

The add-on NoScript and other add-ons free community have been extremely useful for Firefox. Even those who are updated more often than MSIE!

Thanks for a great Web browser called "Firefox".

Probably not the best place to discuss the issue, it can be considered off-topic. I may be biased as a Firefox user, but I think we're doing very well, even in comparing with IE and recognizing that IE had significant improvements over the years.

There will be discussions on this topic elsewhere on the web, and my conclusions are that the article mentioned is a disguised unbalanced promotional item, IE bias.

  • How to enable multi-user iPad support?

The iPad seems to support multiple users (in educational mode), but I can't understand to add a second account.  Is it possible to implement the educational mode to access this feature?

My wife and I use the iPad to a computer on the coffee table and I would like to be able to access our own e-mail and music instead of having to log in and out of the apps because applications are always recorded in the account of someone else.  I also want to add unique but limited accounts for some of my children.  At this time I have a little regret replace my 7 Nexus (who had several accounts) with the iPad Mini 4, mainly for this reason.  I thought when I got the iPad would this basic function that Android has had for years.  It's a fairly fundamental feature (like cut and paste IMHO).

I signed up with the beta of iOS 10 in the hope that this function would be, but he does not have any support for additional user account.  With the arrival of the iPad pro and all the replacement PC talk multiply user support would be a good place to start.

You would need to buy the iPad in class software deployment, which is only available to educational institutions.  This feature is not available outside the program of deployment of the Apple education at this time.

    https://www.Apple.com/education/it/#get-right-materials

For home users or any other iPad as part of a deployment plan for education, the unit remains a single user, single account device.

  • Why I can not connect on the accounts of Firefox to put in place the synchronization? FF30 + keeps telling me how please enable cookies; cookies ARE enabled, already tried Safe Mode.

Exactly what it says on the Tin.

Why can't I connect to Firefox accounts to set up sync to my laptop? FF30 + keeps telling me how please enable cookies; cookies ARE enabled, and I already tried Safe Mode. This has happened since the new Sync has been set up, so I think that nearly 30 FF. I'm now up to 34 FF version and it still does not work. I was not able to sync from the "update".

Problem #1: Going to about: accounts and clicking the Get Started button Blue opens a blank screen. It's not even a prompt on the cookies. It's just empty. Screen attached.
It comes from before the modules are disabled. If they are disabled in Mode safe, we go to the #2 problem.

#2 problem: I've skimmed a thread (https://github.com/mozilla/fxa-content-server/issues/1017) and I tried connecting to sync through accounts.mozilla.com instead, but if the screen does not turn white while the modules are always enabled, "Enable cookies" warning are as far as I can get. Go to about: accounts in Mode safe mode gives the same result. I deleted all my cookies and my cache, FF restarted several times with and without active modules and still nothing. I browsed this forum of support for similar issues, and while other people have the same problem, no other threads have been solved yet. Several later versions of FF, it is far too long for this question still unresolved... Screen attached.

I know where the Firefox Cookie Manager, and I have enabled all settings. I was even able to third party cookies (even though I shouldn't really because they are unnecessary). No difference. Screen attached.

I looked into: config and looked up the word 'cookie' in names, but even this is useless to me since I am not a programmer and so ignorant of what mean really all of these parameters. Screen attached.

I'm at the end of my rope here, guys. It has been for months. A year. Maybe more than a year. I don't even remember. I just got a new camera and I don't want to add all my Firefox information one by one. It doesn't seem to be a way to contact Mozilla directly, so... Someone help please...

  • How can I get FireFox to work on the first Google ChromeBook addition? He repeats to me upgrade and when I do it says does not support?

How can I get FireFox to work on the first version of the Google ChromeBook? Everytime I open it it said to update or upgrade to FireFox and make it your main page. So I downloaded it and it's open once it is installed, but then a message appears that says "can't stand" search for an application that supports FireFox and its software, or something of the sort. I was sitting here with a full battery when I started and now it is dead... and I still don't have FireFox on my ChromeBook.

What do I do now or how do I get it to work? And if it just simply won't work on a CHromeBook then they need to have that riht out in the open.

I had a peek in this and was informed that Firefox does not work on Chrome OS.

It is designed and done a little differently from the likes of Windows and Linux and will not support another browser being installed.

  • How can I remove a program called Browser support. I have not asked for it. I think it might come when I updated Adobe

How can I remove a program called Browser Support?

Sometimes a problem with Firefox can be a result of malware installed on your computer, you may not be aware of.

You can try these free programs to search for malicious software that work with your existing anti-virus software:

Microsoft Security Essentials is a good permanent antivirus for Windows 7/Vista/XP, if you do not already have one. Windows 8 already has integrated antivirus.

More information can be found in the article troubleshooting Firefox problems caused by malware .

Please tell us how to enable hardware acceleration in FireFox 31. All of my graphics and other hardware/software is current and up to date. I also paired to my toolbar to bookmark up to 20 entries less.

FireFox is so slow that a few tabs open cause the 'wheel of doom' suspension whenever I try to enter information or go to another part of the Web site. Sometimes, the breaks are 5 to 10 seconds, sometimes a minute or more.

I don't have this problem on other browsers I use.
