  I have devloped Balckberry app using Sybase Unwired Platfourm 2.0.

  I install all the required files depend on cod three (CommonClient, sup_client_rim, UltraLiteJ) with my main Application using the JAD file.

  Apllication is installed successfully with the three modules, but when I run Application, it gives the following error.

  I see two options:

  1. the 'UltraLiteJ - 3.cod' the file has not been signed with success.

  2. the "RIM-COD-SHA1-5' does not match."

  3. the size of the cod is missing.

  Signed the file on your own?

  I think you might need to update the JAD after that you sign the COD file...

  Thank you. Depending on your answer, I have compiled a procedure:

  Fill & sign a form in Adobe CD and print the form fields:

  (1) open the document.

  (2) click on tools - prepare the form. All fields are displayed in a vertical list in the bottom right of the screen.

  3) click on the first field in the list, scroll to the bottom of the list and shift-click to select all.

  4) click on the first field in the document, make a right click, select Properties.

  (5) on the general tab, uncheck the box locked in the lower left corner. Under field properties common form, select Visible and uncheck the read-only box, close.

  (6) print out and save the file.

  Note: even if you select all the fields in the document in step 3, this procedure may work for the fields on page 1. In this case, repeat steps 3 through 5 for each subsequent page.

  I need to bind a file external cod from 3rd vendor to my jad file. This COD file is already signed and is an independent module.

  Looking at the structure of jad, looks like I have to add the following lines there: (I have 3 other cod files already)

  RIM-COD-URL-3: xxxx

  RIM-COD-SHA1-3: xxxx

  RIM-COD-size-3: xxxx

  The first value is the name of the queue of cod 3 - rd party, but how can I get the SHA1 values and size? (My codfiles inside the jad file sizes are not the same that sizes the same files from the file properties)?

  Is there an automatic way to force the compiler to use the 3 - rd party cod file and to generate the file jad accordingly?

  I use JDE 4.3

  No it's not correct.  Each file of cod being limited to about 64K, if all applications had to be a cod, then things like App World which when I looked last was more than 500 KB, would not be a single application.

  Normally, you distribute applications like jads to download OTA or alx for Desktop or BES installation pushing.  Both these have methods to include several cod in the package.  Please see the developer's Guide for more information, section "packaging and distributing applications.
