How to fix STOP: C0000221 unknown error

Hello

I get the following error - STOP: C0000221 unknown error. The message appears for 3-4 seconds a blue screen then the screen goes black and I get the Windows Error Recovery screen. If I choose to start windows normally or in safe mode, I always get the blue screen with STOP: C0000221 message. Therefore, I am locked into this cycle of error messages and I can't really use all the fixes I found in the forums. What should I do?

In early startup options (Safe Mode) have you tried other options like the "last known good configuration?

If that wouldn't work, see this article if this can help:

Since you cannot start the computer, you can start your troubleshooting on number of article 8, which is "Test your memory of the damage." If you cannot perform the memory test, and you have 2 sticks of RAM, skip a turn in turn and check or you can use/borrow RAM from a known working computer.

If DirectX is up to date - you have a Direct X 10 graphics card? Just Cause 2 does not work on Direct X 9 graphics cards (perhaps the only game so far that will not use DX9) or Windows XP.

The game should have reinstalled Direct X as the game has been installed. There is a folder for Direct X in Just Cause 2

    Hello

I read and read this post for a few times and I'm not sure it will work on my PC so I have to ask, how to solve '1801 Microcode Update error' in HP Compaq dc7700p Convertible Minitowers I upgraded it with E7200 instead of the original E6300

Here is the product number: p/n RN120ET #UUZ

I am in a position to start and start windows, I don't know is that it works normally or not, I'm just bored with the startup message:

Please HELP and thank you in advance!

    Hello:

You must upgrade the BIOS to version to get rid of the error of microcode, and processor at half the speed of the FSB only works because the update of the BIOS was not written for the E7xxx processors work correctly.

You will need to run this software whenever you enter windows and change the multiplier up.

Or you can run this batch file listed on the bottom of Web page so that it runs automatically.

    http://CrystalMark.info/software/CrystalCPUID/index-e.html

If I were you, I just install an E6700 Conroe and have an update without problem.

You will need to use the BACK base flash because I don't think that there is an update of the BIOS written for W7.

    1. you remember changes to the system before this problem?

Flash.ocx is a flash plug-in which is responsible for adobe flash player run on the system.

Maybe it's that the flash drive is gone corrupt. I would reinstall it again on the system and check if the problem is resolved.

Before installing Adobe flash player on the system, make sure that all previous versions of Adobe flash player uninstalled from the system. Download the utility on the site mentioned below, install it and run it on the system.

    Step 1: Uninstall Flash Player

  • STOP: c0000221 Unknown Hard Error\Systemroot\System32\ntdll.dll

I have a Dell Vostro 1500 running Windows XP Home edition.  During the Windows boot the system falls down and shows the error in the title above. I replaced and improved hard drive and modules memory live with Dell components and tried to launch the system to start disk.  Same result screen, blue with the unknown hard Error\Systemroot\System32\ntdll.dll STOP: 0000221.  Then new hardware configuration and system bootable drive equals the same result.  Any advice will be appreciated.

Thank you, everyone, for all the good advice and help. Interestingly, I used a reinstall drive different (one for the same version of Windows XP SP2), and it worked fine. I think this would indicate that the original disk could have been the cause of the problem, but I tried to install the operating system with this drive just to be safe, and it worked. It should be noted that I did no changes to the machine until I tried the new disk, then retried first that I tried to use to reinstall the operating system. This suggests that, regardless of the problem, he don't has not been caused a constant problem.

  • STOP: c0000221 Unknown Hard Error\Systemroot\System32\ntdll.dll mean I lost my hard drive?

Does this mean I lost my hard drive? Do I need to use the ERD? I don't understand not anywhere with F8 or F10, just the message of the screen and stop.

You have never actually seen, made an effort to replicate it and never actually solved this problem before, have you?

Give me instructions on how to apply the resolution alleged in the article:

To resolve this problem, obtain a new copy of the corrupted file or reinstall Windows XP. If you continue to receive one of the error messages that are described in the "Summary" section after you have reinstalled Windows XP, a hardware problem or network may exist.

Tip: I don't have XP CD and there is no "Summary" on this page.

It seems that you come to search Bing and post a link to the first MS KB article that appears.

Don't you think it might be a bad CD/DVD player, a bad cable CD/DBD or little RAM bad?

Why not unplug/uncable the CD/DVD drive and then see how things work?

Of course, we don't know if there's a since the forums MS Answers does not prompt for any information system when a new question is asked, but that's what I would say.

If after that you still break

    Stop 0 x 124 is a hardware error
If you are overclocking try to reset your settings to standard processor and see if that helps.
If you keep getting the BSOD here are things more than you may want.

This is usually hardware related, defective heat, memory or processor even if it is "possible" he is associated (rare) driver.

Stop 0 x 124 - what it means and what to try

    Synopsis:
A "stop 0 x 124" is fundamentally different from many other types of bluescreens because it arises from a complaint of material.
Stop 0 x 124 minidumps contain very little concrete information, and it is therefore necessary to address the problem as a case of material in an unknown state of distress.

    Generic troubleshooting ' Stop 0 x 124 ":

    1) to ensure that none of the hardware components are overclocked. Material which is pushed beyond its design specifications - by overclocking - may malfunction in unpredictable ways.
    (2) ensure that the machine is sufficiently cooled.
If there is doubt, open the side of the case (be aware of all the relevant conditions guaranteed!) PC and direct an electric fan squarely to the motherboard. Who will rule on most cooling problems (lack of).
    3) update all drivers related to materials: video, sound, RAID (if applicable), NIC... anything that interacts with a piece of hardware.
It is best to run the latest drivers anyway.
    (4) update the BIOS of your motherboard according to the manufacturer's instructions.
Their website should provide detailed instructions on the brand and model-specific procedure.
    (5) rarely, bugs in the operating system may cause "false positives" 0 x 124 events where the hardware wasn't complaining, but Windows thought otherwise (because of the bug).
At the time of writing, Windows 7 does not have to suffer from a defect, but it is nevertheless important to keep Windows up-to-date.
    6) trying (stress) test these hardware components that can be put to the test artificially.
The most obvious examples are the RAM and HDD (s).
For the RAM, use diagnostics from built-in memory (run MDSCHED) or the utility memtest86 3rd - party to run plenty of evidence of hours of testing.
For hard drives, verify if CHKDSK /R finds any problems on (s), including "bad sectors".
Unreliable RAM, in particular, is mortal, as well as software, and anything other than a 100% clear memory test result is cause for concern. Unfortunately, even a 100% clear result the diagnostic utilities does not guarantee that the RAM is free of any defect - only that none have been encountered during the test passes.
    7) as the last of the non-invasive troubleshooting steps, perform a "Vanilla" Windows reinstallation: just the OS itself without additional applications, games, utilities, updates, new drivers - or ANYTHING that does not come from the Windows 7 disc.

Who stops working mitigate the problem of the 0 x 124, jump to the next step.
If you run the "Vanilla" installation long enough to convince yourself that not a single 0 x 124 accident occurred, start installing applications and updates slowly, always stopping between successive additions long enough to get an idea of the question if the machine is still free of 0 x 124 breaks down.
Smash back, obviously the latest addition of software may be somehow connected to the root cause.
If the stop error 0 x 124 persist despite the above steps, and the equipment is under warranty, consider to go back and ask for a replacement that does not suffer periodic MCE events.
Be aware that want to perform the subsequent hardware troubleshooting steps can, in some cases, void your warranty:
    (8) clean and carefully remove the dust inside the machine.
Reinstall all memory modules and connectors.
Use a can of compressed air to clean the RAM DIMM supports as much as possible.
    (9) If all else fails, start removing items of hardware one by one in the hope that the culprit is something non-essential that can be eliminated.
Obviously, this type of testing is much easier if you have access to equivalent components in order to perform swaps.

If you are in the situation to have completed all the steps above without a resolution of the symptom, unfortunately the most likely reason is that the error message is literally correct - something is fundamentally wrong with the hardware of the machine.

  • How to fix and debug an error of access violation.

    Hello

I'm stuck with an access violation error that requires my exe to stop construction. I tried also to the development environment, but it's the same here. The error occurs after 5-60 minutes.

I played a bit with the disabling of a portion of the program where it was possible and I think that I am now able to accuse the vi 'gastimer.vi '. But since this vi leads through the measurement procedure, there are some commands coming out which I was not able to map one to one.

My question is: what are the causes access violation errors? I have no call from dll, no third-party library, the communication of material is made series of COM ports. The principle of the architecture is something adapted from producer to consumer loop, except that I often have more than one consumer, so I called them like loop controller - multiple tasks. Communication within this loop (tasks) are by cluster queue enumerator with a Variant.

Indictments vi 'gastimer.vi' is passed an older and simpler architecture. This vi works with the structure of sequence and a large number of local variables.

Since I test the sensors on their reaction to the concentration of gas I have 10 agrees to which I am listening at the same time.

What styles or architecture are subject to access violations? Where can they go? where should I look more carefully in the code?

How can I use the desktop execution trace toolkit for more information on the cause of access violation?

Attached are two different lvlog, but I guess having the same source of error. In the second lvlog are two named vi. What do have to do with the access violation error? Can what information I get these files lvlog?

Last attachment shows a fatal runtime error that happens quite a bit frequently in the recent time when working with this project. Could there be a connection, probably a vi crashed, typedef or something else?

    Thanks for any help

    U. Siegenthaler

I solved the problem. The accident moved no more.

I found a bug in my queue reference interview. I have a record where can I register reference queue and remove them again of this register. The bug was that under certain conditions, I deleted the reference of the bad queue from the registry. This bug had to the fact that there was a reference to queue in the registry that should have been removed. The application now tried to place an element in this Ref queue where, at the same time elsewhere in the application process tried to release this reference to queue. Apparently, if these two events occure at the same time, or when a synchronization that gives an access violation crash.

My suggestion for all of you with an access violation crash: take a look at your reference to queue maintaince and check if you publish queues at the same time you're items from the queue.

Best regards and thanks for the help
