How to fix the 'Actionscript window too high' feared in CS4 (and Vista)

Never encountered this? As I am especially do a lot of editing Actionscript in the flash IDE, this bug sometimes me:

Somehow, magically, the actionscript window opens so big that it will not always be adapted to the screen and there is no chance to resize to a smaller size. In CS3, you can always change the size by dragging the top border of the window down a little. CS4 allows it more. Which is not a problem, it wouldn't be this bug (which was also in CS3, but not a big problem)

I can only give the suggestion for Windwos Vista, I don't know how it works on other platforms, but that could be easily discovered:

I go in this folder:

C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Local\Adobe\Flash CS4\de\Configuration\Workspace

And edit the xml file for the workspace I use. If you do not have one, simply save your current workspace and you will find it here.

All windows and their settings are stored in memory in XML format.

Now you just find the actionscript window. Just search for id = 'actions' and you have the XML definition of the actionscipt Panel.

Change the height and the unconstrainedheight to something smaller than 500. If you restart Flash or change to this profile, the actionscript window will reappear in normal size.

Which makes me wonder: whenever this bug occurs, the height is equal to the width in the xml file. Maybe it's the "root of all evil" Flash saves just the value of the width of the two parameters? I would rather this bug be reversed, as most of the screens are wider, they are great

And I also wonder: If you don't start Flash CS4 in XP in Vista compatibility mode, text input is AS slow as if each letter is being rendered with a raytracer calculation high-end refractions, caustic and whatnot - but they are normal letters. At this rate, I expect at least the letters rendered as on the poster of 'life of brian '.

Don't know if it's the same problem I have with the WINDOW get grand... but here is what I do.

Click on the black bar at the top to minimize the window down to the small Panel.

Click on the words to steal plate - it fits the screen.

Drag the top or down to resize.

Click and drag the Actions tab (or the lighter bar gray) to release the Panel reduced window.

Boring? Yes! But you don't have quick program or go edit an XML.

    Are you trying to figure out how to turn off Magnifier when the system starts up? If so, try this:

    • Open the Control Panel, search for "accessibility".
    • Click on the accessibility option
    • Click on 'Make computer easier to see you '.
    • Uncheck "turn on Magnifier.

    Well, I just hope that someone who has met these two mistakes will find my dose. It might save a lot of pointless research on the net.

    SYMPTOMS:
    -When you try to open a Silverlight application in your browser (Firefox, Chrome, IE, etc), your browser displays only a white area. When you right click on the white area, you can click on the Silverlight properties.
    -If you try to start "Computer management" by clicking on the 'My Computer' icon and select 'Manage', you get the following error: 'access denied '.

    CAUSE:
    The following errors are usually the result of a bad environment variable. In this case the "windir" environment variable does not work correctly. You can try running the management of the computer to start > run and entering:
    %windir%\system32\mmc.exe/s %windir%\system32\compmgmt.msc

    Notice the between the characters of percentage windir environment variable. If you run the above code, you will probably get an error saying that MMC cannot open the file. Look closely at the path, it's back!

    Why this creates problems, I'm not sure. Also, I don't understand what made then variable windir change.

    SOLUTION:
    -From your desktop or Explorer: right-click on "My computer" and select "Properties".
    -Click on the "Advanced" tab and then click "Environment Variables".

    If the SFC was not able to repair files then the best thing to do is to reinstall Windows.  You can try running a disk error check, if it fixes all of the problems, and then rerun the SFC and then install and run the System Update tool.  If there is still a problem with the SFC nto be able to complete then you should do a reinstall.

    Hello!

    Open "Command Prompt", right-click the title bar and choose "Properties".

    Go to the Layout tab.

    In terms of the "Position of the window", uncheck "Let system position window.

    Change the Left and Top values to your preference - on my system (left = 290, Top = 0) are ok.

    On the same tab, look at the picture under "Overview of the window" to try different values - the window position changes after entering a value in the left text box and pressing the tab key.

    Please try to check the rendering under Edit menu options > Preferences > Page Display.

    Check if in smooth text field "for computer/laptop LCD screens" is selected.

    I frequently get a BSOD that I believe is directly related to my purchased recently Bluetooth speaker (Logitech EU Boombox). Which suggests as possible my bluetooth driver is involved.

    I managed to get the speaker to pair once, and I was able to listen to wireless music via Spotify. However, I had problems reconnecting, which could sometimes be fixed by deleting the bluetooth device and then add it again.     Some time ago I completely changed partitions configuration on my laptop, because I wanted to have two systems - Windows 7 (the default) and Ubuntu. Previously, I had an image of the LENOVO_PART (partition Lenovo recovery) by Paragon and burned on DVDs. Its contain images (a recovery key 7) OKR - mbr, boot partition and system (with default settings) file that contains information about the partition sizes and sectors. I deleted all the partitions and create new partitions.

    Now I want to restore the original scores, so I restored the partition recovery DVDs, and I put his ID 12 (PTEDIT32) and rebuilt the other partitions on the accuracy of a sector.

    Now, I have the following partitions: 1 - start (default is unnamed), 2 - system (default is unnamed), 3 - Lenovo, 4 - LENOVO_PART. Unfortunately the Lenovo System Restore does not start once I pressed the Novo key, so I put the active recovery partition and I can't restore the original mbr, boot, and system. Everything would be fine, but the Novo key doesn't work, then press start the normal system of Windows 7, not the recovery system.

    Could someone tell me how could fix the Novo key without the Lenovo service features?

    It should work properly. It seems that there is something wrong with the a key.

    at this point, I suggest you call lenovo support line and ship your laptop.
