What is the certificate of authenticity for Windows?
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/what-is-the-Windows-certificate-of-authenticity
For 5 years, Microsoft made it fairly easy for users of the Windows 7 operating system to get reinstall media. If you have lost your support disc or installation retail collection; either it has been damaged or defective; You can download a copy of the edition that you have licensed from a membership site called Digital River. More recently, Microsoft ended the availability to reinstall media that you can download as a. File ISO in Digital River, which is a digital reproduction of an optical disc.
It was particularly convenient for people who could not easily get the manufacturer's recovery media, did not want to pay the fees required to get or preferred a clean configuration without the software packaged manufacturers or even a recovery partition does not work. It's easy to use, all you had to do was reinstall and reactivate using the product key located on the certificate of authenticity and download all the drivers on the manufacturers website.
Given that this option is no longer available, what are your options? See the article for more details:

Where to get the CD to upgrade Windows 7 Professional 32 - bit (non OEM)?
I want to move from 32-bit Vista Business Edition without wiping my whole system.
Because Windows 7 is in limited stock because Microsoft ended sales in October 2013, this created demand due to its rarity. This means the retail boxed copies request a bonus, while the OEM System Builder copies remain affordable.
Full version (retail):
-Includes the rights of transfer to another computer.
-Does not require a qualifying earlier version of Windows.
-ExpensiveUpgrade version (detail):
-Includes the rights of transfer to another computer.
-require a qualifying earlier version of Windows.
-Expensive, but less expensive full versionOEM System Builder version:
The OEM of Windows 7 versions are identical to the versions commercial full license with the following exception:
-OEM versions don't offer any free direct support from Microsoft technical support Microsoft
-OEM Licenses are tied to the computer first you install and activate it on
-OEM versions allow all hardware upgrades except for an upgrade to a different model motherboard
-OEM versions does not move directly from an older Windows operating systemThere is nothing wrong to use it too, especially that all future versions of Windows will be full versions.

License OEM Windows 7 Professional 32-bit come with downgrade rights to XP Professional?
If I buy a copy of (System Integrator) OEM Windows 7 Professional 32 - bit, does include downgrade rights to Windows XP Pro?
I build essentially the individual PCs for personal use and small businesses; However, I have a client who seeks PCs 35 at point of sale that will have access to a central server. Although I recommended the use of XP mode in Windows 7, my customer has been informed by its supplier of software that XP Pro is the best option for the current version of the software.
Although I could purchase copies of XP Pro OEM, my concern is that - during the life cycle of these PCs - my client will have to migrate to Windows 7, as new versions of its software point of sale are available. If possible, I would like the opportunity to buy Windows 7 Professional OEM licenses, installation of XP Pro with downgrade rights and later have the ability to change to Windows 7 without having to purchase new licenses. Is it an option if I buy Windows 7 Professional OEM licenses?
Also, I need 35 licenses for a single customer, volume licenses would be more cost-effective? My current Windows 7 Pro OEM or Windows XP Pro OEM price is about $ 150 per license.
Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.
Yes, a version of Windows 7 Professional OEM rights to downgrade to Windows XP Professional. Volume license is not a scheme of licensing "for resale.

Disk Dell OEM of Windows 7 does not have a product key?
My computer began to crash so I reformatted my computer and installed Windows 7 Professional using my OEM drive. After installation, my computer installed 70 something updates. Then, he says Windows must be enabled. For some reason any it will never trigger. After several days of trying to figure out why it will not be activated. Finally, I downloaded Produkey to watch my product key. That the when I noticed that it is said that he was not a found Windows product key. My drive was supposed to install Windows 7 without having to use a product key. What should I do?
"DeMolay8613" wrote in message News: * e-mail address is removed from the privacy * .com...In fact, I bought the office refurbished Dell. It came with Windows 7 OEM disc. What's weird, is that the sticker on the body of the computer is Windows XP Professional.
An OEM Win 7 installation disc also requires the issuance of a product key OEM COA on a real label. If you do not have this feature so you don't have a genuine OEM product for your refurbished Dell. You cannot use a XP Pro COA to activate a product Win 7.I strongly suggest that you download and run the real MS Diagnostics program from this site:http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=52012When the report comes up on top of the screen, click on copy in the window then come back here and paste the results in your response, or alternatively, you can view the report inhttp://social.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/genuinewindows7/threads.There are no identifiable user information in the report. -
How to get rid of the fake windows security alert virus
There was a virus on my laptop in the last two months. on the bottom taskbar, there's a red 'x' icon shield and whenever I try to go it takes me to the esentials Security page and he said: "the Security Center service is disabled" and it lights whenever I try to turn it on. also it doesn't let me access the internet or try to restore the laptop. I tried all solvents of spyware as spyware doctor and malware bytes, but it seems that I still have not had the problem again. help because this situation is greatly appreciated. Thank you
Hello
One way to solve the problem would be to backup your important data (redundancy) and then re - install
Windows after formatting the drive. Check with the manufacturer of your system's support to see what you need to do
that (and you probably already have what is necessary). You can buy the installation discs for Windows in the system
machine cheaply if necessary since you already own windows.=====================================
Another method would be to ensure that the malware is detected and deleted with internet access being
restored.Try typing several times F8 as you start and select a Safe Mode with networking. If that works to proceed to the
methods below. (You can try wired access and wireless if you have both available). If this does not work
then use another computer to download the drivers and the necessary programs and transfer them to your machine
on removable media. It can be made repeatedly in Mode safe - F8 tap that you start, however you must also run them
the Windows when you can.Download malwarebytes and scan with it, run MRT and add Prevx to be sure that he is gone. (If Rootkits run UnHackMe)

I bought a laptop Dell XPS with Windows 8 Professional pre-installed. I need to migrate things that are on my laptop Sony Vio - who has Windows XP Professional - for the new laptop. Transfer cable that Dell sold me for employment does NOT in Windows 8... Then, how should I proceed?
Use the Windows Easy Transfer tool included in Windows 8. You should be able to create a USB key that you can take your XP computer, collect files and settings and then bring them to the new computer. See here:

I installed windows 8 preview version, how to get back my pre installed windows XP
I installed this thing! I am at a loss how to get XP back.
Hello
Save your data and do a clean install of XP.
http://pcsupport.about.com/od/OperatingSystems/SS/instxpclean1.htm
If you do not have your XP disk, you can contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send you a XP disc.
They should do this for a small fee.
You need to change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the order of startup and startup disk:
How to change the Boot order in BIOS:
http://pcsupport.about.com/od/fixtheproblem/SS/bootorderchange.htm
"How to replace Microsoft software or hardware, order service packs and replace product manuals.
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/326246
Install Windows 8 could destroy this option of relocation:
And if you have never received a recovery disk when you bought your computer, there should be a recovery Partition on the hard drive to reinstall XP back on how you purchased your computer.
The recovery process can be started by pressing a particular combination of the key or keys at startup. (Power on / start)
It may be Ctrl + F11, F10, F11, Alt + F10, etc., depending on the manufacturer.
Ask them to the proper key sequence.
See you soon.
