How to import files from RAW and jpg formats

If I shoot in RAW + JPG format images, there are two files for each image (a RAW and a JPG).  When I import into LightRoom, only the RAW files appear on the screen to import.  To import the JPG file, I need to download the jpgs from the card to the computer and then separately to import computer jpg files into LightRoom.

How can I get the RAW and JPG images formats appear in the import window?  I have an iMac, import images from the card via a card reader and use LR CC 2015.

In your Lightroom preferences, there is an option to treat JPEG files next to raw separate image files. If you check this option, then Lightroom will import JPEG images, but also raw images. Once you select this option you can synchronize files that have already been imported and JPEG images will be added to the catalog.

Gotcha! You will need the free Adobe Reader application for mobile, you will find on the app store for your device. Once you have installed the Reader mobile app, it's as simple as selecting your file in the drive and tapping on the download icon to download your files on Acrobat.com.

  • How to import files from presenter in the presenter 8

    Hello world:

I just give a user a new computer and I am trying to transfer all the files in the profile of presenter on the new computer.

I tried to copy everything in C:\Users\ < username > \AppData\Local\Adobe\Adobe Presenter\Presenters to the new location, but they do not appear in the presenter.

If I do a new anchor, this one shows up in the AppData directory, but none of the profiles that I copied appear.

It's not like presenter has 8 function "import."

I deleted the folder for the test of Presenter, I did, and he always appeared in Adobe Presenter.

So, my question is "How can I present 8 to read these imported directories?  Is there a directory or hidden file I am missing or a change in the registry settings?

Saying, 'Upgrade to Presenter 10' is a valid answer, but I was hoping to get around that.

Any help or assistance would be greatly appreciated.

OK, just tested between two computers using Presenter 8 and 10, and I was not able to transfer the information of Presenter by placing in the location, as you can see. Curiously, transferring the themes by placing them in the themes folder still works. However, you can still import a presenter by placing (or pushed together, say one per blade) top on a PPT deck on the old computer. Make this presentation PPT the new computer, and then open it. You should see all the presenters in the list of your host associated with this presentation. You may need to enter the function edit to change them, but the should appear. Looks like the images may have to be reapplied, but you can still get most of the information here.

Totally impossible seems to be a position of strength to hold.

  • How to import files from Yahoo email in Windows Mail?

Can someone tell me how to download email folders from my account on Windows Mail Yahoo. I'm currently out emails of their records and placing them in the Yahoo Inbox, where they are downloaded. I have then create a folder for them, and move them into Windows Mail.

I don't know of any way to get them to download unless they are in the Yahoo Inbox. What of it?

    1. Move messages that download on Yahoo and WinMail inboxes.
    2. Copy the messages in the Inbox to a folder archived of Yahoo & a send/receive operation in WinMail.
    3. Move the messages from the Inbox WinMail & delete in the Yahoo Inbox.
    4. Repeat for the next folder of Yahoo.
  • Is it possible to import files from dreamweaver and muse of files to reflow edge and vice versa?

Hi there are some things I can do using edge reflow such as making a mobile and tablet site.

There are some things I can do with dreamweaver, such as making a form with a drop of water to the bottom of the box.

And there are some things I can do with muse as insert a google maps and paypal widget.

Is it possible to Exchange files with these 3 software?

You cannot import in reflow of Dreamweaver or Muse. You can export HTML (and CSS) reflow, but not import HTML reflow.

  • RAW and JPG

I want to know what is the difference between RAW and JPG format?

    Ursula,

RAW format is an unprocessed photo. The camera records what he sees, depending on the settings you use. Sort of a digital negative, this format allows you to recompose the shot allowing you to change different settings that you would be allowed to a JPEG. All the captured information is recorded and kept, so if you have used the wrong balance of whites, for example, you can fix this easily when you process the RAW file.

JPG (or JPEG) is a transformed photo. The camera uses the settings of the camera and finalizes the picture in the camera for you. There are limited changes, that you can do to the JPEG format because whatever the treatment has not used gets scrapped. Not as easy things like blown out sky are retrieved as with a RAW image since the details are gone.

RAW files provide much more detail and to look more closely at how you saw the scene and want the finished product looks. The disadvantage of RAW files is the file is very large and cannot be played without special software. Canon provides the Digital Photo Professional software to view and convert the RAW files. JPEG into smaller files and is easily shareable.

Hope that helps you understand the difference.

  • Images in RAW and jpg - how to separate?

I shoot RAW formats and jpg, that I have the RAW format for detailed editing and the jpg for quick tweaking to publish on the web, as required, or make a quick copy to friends.  I'll probably stop this (shooting them both) when I get used to the edition of RAW, but it's part of my evolution and growth to develop my skills in my digital darkroom.

When I started with LR, I used the Beta 2 and simply imported my catalog of 8 PS elements and it worked very well, because the two versions of the image have been imported so that I could see both of them, and then choose the image I wanted for further editing.  I have now upgraded to the new version of LR3 and just downloaded my first set of images of a shooting weekend - went looking for birds blue and only found a nest with an active couple in it.  I go back for more in a day or two - more images that is.  It's strange how the population of nesting Robins-Blues in my part of the western Prairies decreased significantly in the past five years, but it's a story together, different, anyway to proceed... I downloaded the images from the shoot of this afternoon and found that the image (Canon - CR2) RAW and jpeg format show as a single image with a title that says IMG_xxxxx. CR2 + jpg.  I would like to be able to break the two different images outside, or at least get to each of them separately for editing purposes.  For the life of me, I can't understand it.  I'm still waiting for LR3 Kelby book that I pre ordered... maybe this week.  Not sure if that will tell me how to do this, assuming I can.  If I can't do that, then I'll have to import in Elements 8 and then re-import this file in LR3 - I don't want to do a process.

Any idea anyone can provide on how to do it (I guess it's possible) will be greatly appreciated.  It's maybe something as simple as a 'switch' on a predefined import or setting up a "Preset" import "custom" (if there is such a thing). Thanks in advance.

    Kind regards

    WesternGuy

It's in the preferences on the general tab - under import tick options "treat JPEG files next to RAW files as separate pictures"

(and yes I only found it after I had created my catalog lighroom!-it was easier for me to start over again and all over again with the option checked - I don't know yet of an easy way to reverse that in the previously imported photos)

What is the destination folder that the date be underneath?  In the top right it says users who suggests, you try to put the photos on top of your username instead of under your username.  Maybe that's the problem.  So change your folder in the drop-down list at the bottom right of what it should be rather than users, and if you're going to show us the destination of your photos at least scroll through the list of folders down right so that we can see which is the white highlight.

It would not seem like an audio CD, as a drive in this way is a data disc when it contains mp3 files. You would need to access the file menu in iTunes, manage files here. If you manually manage music, you will need to access it as a regular folder on your computer. In iTunes, go to file > add file to library, and select individual files.

  • How can I download files from HUS and VIP for my Bernina Version 6 software?

    Original title: download embroidery files

How can I download files from HUS and VIP for my Bernina Version 6 software? Currently, I'm only able to download ART and PES files.

joydesigns.org (a HUS file extensions) and comcast.net (a VIP file extensions). I get a message that says "windows cannot open this file, use the web or select the program from a list". I downloaded supposed solutions to problems of conversion and lived to regret it. So, I don't know what I can do to download these special files.

In your original post, you said you wanted to download files to use with your software Bernina HUS and VIP.

HUS files are Husqvarna Viking embroidery files.   VIP files also are Husqvarna; Here is the Viking/Pfaff home embroidery Format.

You have reason to believe that your Bernina embroidery software should be able to use the Husqvarna Viking files?

On the site joydesigns.org, the design of the Dove who has the instructions "Click on the dove to go to the download page for design in .hus format" actually will download a zip compressed file if you click the icon ("FlyingDoleB.zip").  When you click on an image to download the file, you must select the option to save these files in a location that you will remember and then right click and select "extract" all to join the HUS of the file (not all downloads from this Web site are HUS).

Once you have the file HUS, you right-click, select open with > choose program, then select your Bernina software in the list (or browse to its location in C:\Program Files).  If you check the box "Always use the selected program to open this type of file" you can double-click on these files in the future.  Of course, it depends on software Bernina being able to recognize the files of HUS.

VIP files on some comcast getaway site should be handled in the same way.
