  I do it all the time. Make your sequence of images in a separate folder for each passage, use a number like bg_0001.tif format, go it to file > import and select any file in the folder and check the box image sequence, and then import.

  I think perhaps the best next step after all your efforts of trying to fix the program.  For this, since it is part of the Windows Essentials pack, you can go to the page Windows Essentials and re - download and re-install the package, which will update and fix the movie maker if necessary.   I downloaded a brochure booklet template that prints to 8.5 x 11. The actual model when I opened in IndDesign seems to be smaller than this size. My question is how can I import my images in this model and have it print on 8.5 x 11 without affecting the quality of my images?

  In the example, the model has pictures so I guess it is possible, that I have no idea. If I import the image to the size of its supposed to be when printing it is of course too big to put inside the model.

  As part of the print size, dimensions of the image are taken into account by the assigned resolution. If the images that you expect to be 8.5 x 11 seem to come in InDesign to a larger size, it may just be a question of resolution. After placing an image, check the information for its effective resolution Panel.
