How to import photos from an SD card in chronological order?

Hi all

I'm new to 10 PSE so bear with me for a second, I ask your help.  I try to import photos from an SD card and have them renamed as imported while but keeping the chronological order based on when they were taken but I can't get this result.  The photos are imported in chronological order, but in the folder, they are in the SD card.

Situation

I have my vacation photos in my SD card in 7 folders created by the camera (1 for each day).  When I go to "Get the Photos and videos" and I select the card reader, I see them in chronological order but in keeping the order of each folder starting with the last folder.

Did I get 10 PSE?

10 PSE is their import and rename but use chronological order within each folder starting with the most recent creation of a chronological mess.

Results expected Import

I want pictures to be imported and renamed, but keeping the regardles chronologically this folder are in.  I think it starts from the bottom of the list to the top.

Any help will be appreciated.

Thank you ed deyo1

I understand your recommendation, but I was hoping that items he'd for me instead of having to use a workaround.  I kept looking in various forums and found this http://www.sevenforums.com/music-pictures-video/25245-picture-import.html post where he explains how to use the Windows Live Photo Gallery import feature to get the same behavior that we have used to extract the XP.  Read the post from 'jrdaddykins' to the list of steps to follow.  I believe that this post closed, thank you for those who chipped in.

  • OJ6480 am not able to import photos from the memory card inserted in the printer to laptop?

I can't import pictures from my memory inserted in my OJ6480 card.  I am connected with USB and nothing appears automatically after you insert card.  Also, I used the menu photo option and he doesn't want me to import.  Help, please!  Thank you.

    Hi cafahr,

I understand you are trying to print photos from a memory card.

I find the user manual for Officejet 6480 and found the following.

After taking pictures with your digital camera, you can print them immediately or save them on your computer. To save the pictures on your computer, remove the memory card from your digital camera and insert it into the slot for card memory on the device.

    To save your photos

NOTE: Use these instructions only when you use a network connection. If you are using a USB connection, then a dialog box appears automatically on the computer when you insert the memory card into the device.

    1. Insert a memory card into the suitable location on the device.
    2. press on the picture Menu.
    3. press the arrow keys and select Photo transfer and then press OK.
    4. press the arrow keys, and then select Yes.
    5. press the arrow keys and select transfer to computer, and then select the name
    of your computer.
6 follow the prompts on the screen on your computer to save the photos to your
    computer.

From what you described, the question is simple, the dialog box does not appear on the computer. What happens if you start it > computer or workstation? Do you see something here that looks like it could be the card into the printer?

Try to leave the printer and unplug the power cable (with the inserted memory card), leave the printer unplugged for about a minute and then plug it back. I want to see if this will push the communication to the computer.

Have you used this memory card in the printer before successfully? I ask because the problem may be the memory card or the memory card reader in the printer. Take a look at this link, memory card troubleshooting.

I hope it's useful. If the problem persists, please return with answers to the questions I asked, I'll gladly do some additional research and return with possible solutions. Please also let me know if you use a Mac or a WIndows OS.

When I import pictures from a sd card in the camera, they show in black and white. Who is wrong

    any

There are at least two possibilities I can think

    1. The photo (if it's a JPG) was capture B & W camera
    2. There is a preset (accidentally?) applied to the import (in the develop Module historical Panel, the substantive entry should say Import date and time; and not import / followed by the date and time) in which case you need to remove the develop preset to be applied to the import.

My approach to this problem would be to simply copy all and click "No to All" when asked if I want to replace an image.  In this way, only the unique copy.  In WIndows 7, I would check the option "Do this for the next x conflicts" when specifying 'do not copy '.

  • How to import photos from an iOS device photos via USB?

I import my photos of iPhone & iPad via USB for pictures on my Mac.

I turned off the option to automatically open Photo when I plug my iPhone to Mac, because in most cases, I don't want to import Photos (for example just recharge the phone via the USB port).

But now I can not get an option to import my photos.

I read the help pages, but can't find the answer because it suggests options should open when the USB key is inserted, but the screen remains the same

    What should I do?

    Have you tried the following:

    • Launch Photos manually once you connect your iPhone to the Mac.
    • Enter the ⌥⌘S (command-option-S) key combination to make the sidebar visible on the Photos.
    • Click on the camera icon or an iPhone in the sidebar when it appears.

Your iPhone shows in iTunes or in the Image Capture? If iPhone doesn't appear at all, make sure it is properly loaded and unlocked, disconnecting, take a new photo, then reconnect it.

    • Start iTunes and confirm that you agree with the mac, the prompt on the iPhone.
    • Try a different USB port.
    • Try to force reboot the iPhone.

I think that you don't have to assign a letter to the network drive using the Windows Explorer to connect a network drive.

The link of the article provided by Tanuj does not important at all.

  • Cannot import photos from an SD card.

We have just returned from holiday and having forgotten our SD card, we have reduced the quality of the image on the camera to 1.2 megapixels so that we could store as many photos as possible of our Kodak Easyshare C180 memory. When we returned, we all copied to the SD card and plugged on the F drive. He transferred four pictures and then gave us a message that the drive needed formatting, but when we tried to format it failed. We ended up formating the card after plugging in the camera and repeating everyhting. Plug the SD card in a second time, that we do not get the prompt to format but just a SD file that once we open both automatically and manually, stops responding. We cannot import, copy manually, or see one of the photos once plug us it into the drive, yet the camera bed map very well. I have a HP new with Windows 7.

    Thank you
    Eric

The following Kodak document indicates that your camera
a 16 MB internal memory and 11 can be used for photos...

I was wondering how many photos you expected to download
    the camera?

What are the dimensions in pixels of the 4 pictures that you have successfully
to download on your hard drive?

(see page: 49-8 Appendix - internal storage capacity)

If you can still see the pictures on the display of the camera...
It may be interesting to try to connect the camera to PC via USB
Cable to see if you can download the photos...

Once you have retrieved the photos... it may be worth trying
format the memory card in the camera.

  • How to import photos from iPhoto to the Photos without losing the date structure

    Hey there,

Today, I realized that not all my photos to the Macintosh iPhotos Photos last year. At this point, I'm missing about 700 photos.

Is it possible to merge the iPhoto to the existing photo library library while keeping the structure of date? I tried just to drag some photos but they then imported as if they were taken today.

If possible, I want to keep the date structure so that all the photos that were taken at the same time will remain together.

Export images from iPhoto to the Finder, and then import them to Photos.

    File-> edit

    This trick of the user

    https://discussions.Apple.com/docs/doc-4921

a details of the options in the export dialog.

    Ignore the file date.

There are two types of metadata involved considering the jpeg or other image file.

One is the data file. That's what shows the Finder. That tells you nothing about the content of the file, just the file itself.

The problem with the metadata file is that it is easy to change the file is moved from one place to another or exported, by electronic mail, downloaded, etc.

Photographs have also obtained the Exif and IPTC metadata. The date and time that your camera broken that the photo is saved in the Exif metadata. Without worrying if that said the date of the file, this is the actual time recorded by the camera.

Applications of photo like iPhoto, Aperture, Lightroom, Picasa, Photoshop etc. get their date and time of the Exif metadata.

When you export from iPhoto to the new Finder file is created containing your Photo (and its Exif). The file date is reported - exactly - the date of export.

However, does not change the Date of the Photo.

The problem is that the Finder doesn't work with Exif.

Thus, your photo has the correct date and the file does, but these are different things. To perform a sort on the date of the Photo, you will need to use a photo app.

    =============================
I do not think that the 'Read only' attribute of your
file is the problem... in fact, it is typical.
All files on my XP Pro system have a
Square marker (not checked) to playback
    Only the check box.

If you want to experiment the following article...

Open your folder my pictures and create a new folder...
File / new / folder... (more on this shortly)

Insert your SD card into your Media Player. Do not forget
to slightly press the card at the bottom of the slot.

If the Autorun screen opens, close it.

Reach... My computer or on the removable click
Disk that corresponds to the location of your card is in.

    In the menu... Choose... Explore.

You should be able to see the directory of the card.

Open the folders and find pictures.

Reach... Edition / select all... then... Edition / copy.

Right click on the new folder that you created in my
Images, text and the menu... Choose... Dough.
