How to install a compatible graphics driver so that it stops using VGA Standard? Someone please?

Well, I redid my PC everything and he's using now a "Standard VGA graphics card" but that does not work for my game. When I try to download and install another driver, it is said that it is not compatible with the driver I have. So what is compatible? Is it something in between that I need? I don't have a CD drive. I am running Windows Vista 32-bit. If anyone can help, I'd appreciate...

Hi GisselleRae,

Click on the Start button and then click Control Panel. In Control Panel, click on Device Manager. In the window look for 'graphics card' Device Manager click on the arrow to the left to expand the menu. You should now see the brand and number of your graphics card. Once you have that, you can go back to the Nvidia site and choose the correct drivers. Just make sure you download the correct version. If he says is that it is a 32-bit or a 64-bit version make sure you also download the version appropriate for your operating system. You can find if you have a versaion of 32-bit version or 64-bit windows by clicking the system icon in the control panel. When the system window opens, you should see the "see basic information about your computer. Find the system section and then look for the "system type". This should read either operating system 32-bit or 64-bit operating system.

    Hi mate

You can install this driver, but you need to use different installation procedure.
You must install it in the Device Manager.

Here, you can choose Advanced Setup, then choose don't search. I will choose the driver, then point to the driver files that you have stored on the HARD disk and complete the installation.

But note; I read here that the use of non-Toshiba drivers is always at your own risk

How to install a cd rom driver? It can be installed, now it is not and I can't read CD

"Device Manager" to remove the existing driver. Turn off the computer and unplug the data (SATA or PATA cable) cable CD player. Next power Windows (with the cable still disconnected) and check that the CD device is not listed in "manage devices".

Then turn off the computer, then reconnect the data cable and reboot. Windows should find out there's a new attached device and install the appropriate driver.

Hi, I desperately need help to connect my PC at home that runs on Windows XP SP3 to my Wifi network. Currently my laptop (Windows 8) and the tablet of my wife are connected to the WIFI network but cannot connect the desktop home PC. Robin,

It's the support page from Dell for your computer--> http://www.dell.com/support/my-support/us/en/04/product-support/servicetag/JHDFR1S/config?s=BIZ

As near as I know, your Optiplex was conducted in Australia.  If you are indeed in Australia (and you probably, if you have a modem/router of Telstra), I have no information on what products could be made available to you or where you could buy them.

My personal preference would be an adapter that includes a cable for the antenna is not positioned between the back of your computer and the wall.  However, if your computer will be less a few meters from the router, there is not much difference, and you can use an adapter that looks like a USB key (or smaller).  My guess is that all of the products on this page might work for you--> http://www.mwave.com.au/networking-wireless/adapters-addon-cards-wireless?view=40&pricerangeid=1&filter=383%3Dusb&filteroptions=383%3Dinterface that the correct driver should be included on a CD supplied with the appliance.
