  Thanks for the reply. I suggest you to uninstall Windows Live Essentials from the computer and update to the latest version. You can download it from the link http://bit.ly/GQ9tPI . Please disconnect all the external devices connected to the computer (printers, external hard drives, flash drives) and do not have any CD/DVD in the drive while following the steps.

  After the Windows Live Essentials 2011 Installation, I lost all capacity for photo editing.

  If I try to edit a photo that is on my PC in my pictures folder. New 2011 Photo Gallery indicates that the file is a "read only file and Windows Live Photo Gallery can not changing."

  I have Windows XP and need to find a plug-in for Windows Live Photo Gallery for Firefox version 5.0. I've looked everywhere on the Windows Live website, but can't seem to find an answer.   When I print from Windows Live Photo Gallery it always by the incorrect printer default.  By default, it uses the fax printer.  All other characters to the right printer progames be default.  And under priners Control Panel, it shows the green check mark on the printer default right.  If I change to a photo printer, it prints very well.  But then the next image always defaults to the fax printer.  I use Vista 32 bit.  The version of Windows Live Photo Gallery is 14.0.8064.206.  The printer is a HP C7180.  And I have the latest version of the driver.

  I think that the part Ne03 refers to a network or shared printer that is connected to your machine.  For what it's worth, I have this entry in my registry.

  HP Photosmart C4380 series, winspool, Ne02: so your entry (to me) seems pretty good.

  Have you clicked on your HP printer and select the option "Run As Administrator" / Properties / Security and checked permissions, such that manage printers, records management, to ensure that everything is all right in there?

  I'm still thinking possible "Bug", but are happy to be contradicted.

  Hello Michael,

  Has probably had a modified default parameter. To do this: go to control panel and select default programs. When that opens the first series to select your default programs, when this window opens select Windows Live Photo Gallery in the left column and choose defaults for this program on the right side. When this window opens, make sure that the JPEG is not selected. Save your changes and then OK yourself.

  And to the home page by default, select programs associate any type of file or Protocol with a program. When this window opens to scroll to the bottom of the left side of the window until you get registration .jpeg. If the default associated program isn't one you want, go to top right and click on change program... When this window opens, either select a program from the list, select one of the other list of programs, or click Browse and select the program in the Explorer style list that is offered.
